A chat thread for all the Daughtry Lifers. This is my favorite band. There is something special about them that I have not seen in another artist/group and I plan to be a fan for life.
There are many fans on this site who know one another, some who don't, but everyone is welcome to post. Fans that have been here from the start, fans who have just started posting here more, and new fans.

Patty~Had a fun little "date" with my son. We went to this place that is like Chuck E Cheese but without the huge crowd. It's more fun. And then we went for ice cream. We had a good time. Did you do anything this weekend? I was so happy to see Adele sweep the Grammys!! I also enjoyed Dave Grohl's speech, and thought this Grammy night was better than it's been in awhile.

Kate I am taking an 11 hour train to go to Cleveland its my friends Lisa's birthday show. Maybe you can amtrak it no driving? I have been bad Kate because right now I have 13 shows lined up for the next 3 months. I also have 6 vips. I am insane with this band seriously I so need an intervention & if Foxwoods on 4/28 show happens then will have 14 shows. My goal is to break 100 shows this tour. I wish U were doing clevelan its a weekend show.

Happy that you have several shows to attend ... if I remember correctly, I think somewhere you said you were going to go to 7 shows and have 2 VIP's!!!! How awesome!!! I'm planning on 2 shows right now ... April 2nd in Columbus and April 3rd in Cincinnati ... yep, 2 shows in 2 nights!! I'm planning on taking vacation days on Monday 4-2 and Tuesday 4-3 but I'm gonna be wiped out at work on Wednesday!
For the show in Columbus, I'm going with a friend and one of her co-workers and her daughter ... they have not seen Daughtry yet, so I know they are going to have a good time! For the Cincinnati show, I'm going with 3 ladies from work ... they have heard me talk about Daughtry for several years now, so we are having a girls-night out ... so actually we will all 4 be wiped out at work on Wednesday! Uh-oh!! LOL! I so badly wanted to do at least 1 VIP, but none of the others wanted to spend the money ... or leave that early to get there in time (both shows are about a 2-3 hour drive) and I'll be driving back late both nights.
I was thinking about the Cleveland show too, but hubby says that is too far (4-5 hour drive) and we'd have to stay overnight as that is too far to drive home afterwards, plus the roads to get there are not good. I have a friend who I've thought about asking to go with me, but I'll wait and see. I'm hoping they announce the second leg of the tour soon, as there may be one or two that I could go to.

Wow, it's been a really, really loooong time since I've posted in here! I have every intention of posting frequently, but life seems to take up all my time! I stop by DO several times every day, but I don't sign in (actually, we're blocked from it at work), so I try to keep up with everything that is happening "Daughtry-wise".
I love the BTS album ... lots of great songs!! I'm so excited for the new tour starting soon! Hoping to see some of you at a concert or two this year!
I have no Valentines Day plans probably dinner thats what we usually do and you what are your Valentines day plans??
Miss you too!!! We need to catch up more soon!! My son has been sick with the flu this week. He's able to go back to school today.
It seems we have had something going on almost every night this week!

terri i liked the doggy commercials, the ferris buellar one, and the old spice commercial. I was so happy The Giants Won. I thought both Madonna and kelly Clarkson did a great job. Overall a fun super bowl!!

SHANNA~I like Pan Am too. Have you ever watched Once Upon a Time? It comes on before DH. I like it too. Things are going good here, just super busy!! It seems we have something going on almost every day or night lately. How is work going?
Did you guys watch the Superbowl? We went to a party with about 4 other couples/families. Had a good time. I don't like the Patriots and we all were cheering on the Giants. The last 5 mins of the game was good. I liked several commercials but overall they weren't as funny this year. Kelly did a great job on the anthem and I thought Madonna did a good job too. It seemed like she was lip-synching though but not sure. It was still entertaining.

Patty I don't think anything is more fun than rockin' concerts and think it's awesome you've been doing this ever since your teen years.
that is so awesome. And I think its so good ur able to work around your schedule so it all works out for you. And yay I hope your friend has a great time at the concert and loves the VIP experience. I am confident you will get her hooked than since she is not already. 
I cannot wait until the second leg of the tour and keeping fingers crossed I will be able to make a show. And how cool is it u can use rewards to purchase VIP passes for u and a guest? I don't have anywhere near it but I have time and maybe will use it some day.

Shanna i work diligently around my concert schedule that is my fun! I am good feeling much better had a bad cold last week. I got my vips for my BFF & me in Fl. cannot wait until she sees the boys live. She will be hooked!
I am glad concert stress is done for me for now. the next leg they will hitting your towns. Hopefully we got everything with presales smoothed over so it will be a piece of cake for you gals.
Hello ladies, how are you all doing? I am okay and so excited I don't have to work this weekend. I have 2 1/2 days off and I am going to enjoy them.
Are any of you watching the Superbowl?
Today at work I was so tired and had a rough start to my day. After an hour or so into my day I was ringing this lady up and when transaction was complete I grabbed her basket off counter and went to put it on the floor like I always do and somehow I smacked it super hard into my face. It hurt so bad and got me pretty bad at the corner of my eye. I had my arm over it and was in tears. I put ice on it and noticed a bump and its still there nad still hurting a bit over 12 hrs later. Plus it gave me a bad headache the whole entire day. If it wasn't for that it would have been good.
We have a new store manager and sh's been in and out this week but offically starts on Monday. I have to close with her on Friday and am a bit nervous. I know I know how to do my job but she told me shes going to see what I am made of and will have to prove myself. She seems nice and energetic and helpful but I am sitll not a hundred percent sure how I feel about the whole thing.
Terri moving back in can be stressful but fun too. Hope things are settling nicely for your parents and things are coming together. I have not watched much tv lately since a lot of the shows are not on but i have been watching Desperate Housewives, The Biggest Loser, Project Runway AllStars, Hawaii Five O, House, and I was watching Terra Nova and Pan Am when they were on. Last I heard it wasn'tsure either of those shows was going to make it. I have not been able to check out any of hte new stuff but sister and her hubby are watching Alcatraz and The Firm I believe...
Patty I see your point and i am sure you would never turn down work unless it meant interfering with ur concert which is why you need the money in the first place.

SHANNA~They are so happy to be back home, but still have lots to do to settle in. They had to get all new furniture and stuff so they are working hard getting that all set up and moved in, etc. Some they had already ordered and most of the furniture got moved in. There are still a few minor things that have to be done to the house but those can be done while they are living there. I can't wait until they are settled and ready for company.

I love February. 
Talk about a mild winter, so far we have only had one snowfall and it was only an inch and a half. We have had lots of rain but it's been pretty warm. Strange. Hope that doesn't mean it comes late this year and we have snow in March when everyone has spring fever. lol

I had a good weekend. Saturday night went to see this band. I felt a little awkward at first but got through it in the end. When the band could only play a song since their lead singer wasn't feeling so well with his diabetes I wasn't sure what I was going to do but they talked me into going to a different bar, more my style might I add, to see another band play. They were really good and played a lot of songs I knew. And it was interesting to know that one of them plays iwth Stevie Nicks, (the bass player). He seemed nice enough. I hung out with a bit older crowd but didnt' mind and it made me realize how much I miss seeing music live, any local talent.
My friends honey took a small liking to me, it was kind of weird but they were all nice and I am sure I will see them again.
I have to get home soon. Ended up at sisters most of day watching Dalton since she was going through some stuff and he wasn't feeling the best either. Was supposed to have tomorrow off too but got called in. I don't mind b/c more money and hours is always good but the things I was going to do today have once again been postponed. I work until Saturday same shift.

Yes girls I am done with buying tickets was able to find good seats for all 11 show I am so happy the ticket stress is done!

Terri yeah I am kind of seeing what comes around in terms of Daughtry shows and everything. I don't really think I have it in my budget to do a lot of travelling so I do hope they will come my way soon or later and I can enjoy at least once concert too.
Work is going okay. It was kind of slow today. But I went out to dinner with 2 friends afterwards and that was loads of fun. We went to my favorite mexican restaurant and sat in the bar. We ate and talked and shared. I learned some new things about them today. It was nice.

These presales are brutal Last week got 2nd row cleveland & 6th row greensboro. Today got ga for NYC, 4th row for both Syracuse & NJPAC, and 5th row pit for jacksonville. I think I got a few greys from today's presale.
Terri I just finished watching DH and agree with a lot that you had to say. It would be awful if they all wound up in jail or went down low paths. If it ends that way that would make me upset for sure. Renee isn't as bad this season as she was when she first started. I am glad he came out and told her the truth but Ben shouldn't have done that in the first place. And yes would love to see more of Mike and Susan also. THey're great together. I don't know why Bre feels she needs to be reckless, sleep around, and be proud of it. It's weird and she needs to stop drinking. As far as Lynette and Tom it may already be too late for them, what a shame.
The family is okay and doing all right for the most part. My sister is pretty stressed at the moment but she has a lot going on. I went and visited with my grandparents last night. It was fun and we played dominos just the three of us. My mom comes back Thursday nite. I think she'll be sticking around til April or May when its nice back there again.
Patty yeah I am officially moved in 98%. LOL things are going all right and I can't wait til we can make the upstairs more livable and all that. Hope your ticket stresses all work out for the best. How many shows have you gotten set up thus far?
Oh and Dalton is in here with me and he saw the pic of you and JP and I told him who you were and he said "Hi Patty" like you could really hear him so I said I'd pass the message along.
Mary hey girl how are things going? I am okay. I am out on the whole Idol thing. I think its one of those shows that need to be retired. I know it gave us Chris and all that but I think its run its course. Personally I prefer The Voice over everything. I hope you have the time of your life with your Nickelback experience. They are one of my favorite bands. I think some FC can be a good thing esp when it includes a VIP experience but if it reaches a certain amt of $$$ I'd have to be out for sure and that part can suck.

SHEILA~I wouldn't mind a FC either, as long as it wasn't too pricey. I'd love the security of getting a good ticket plus perks.
Not into AI anymore. It's really gone downhill. I might watch a little once it's top 12 but I'm just not into it anymore. Or if the guys are ever on it I would watch it for them. lol I also have other shows the nights it is on that I enjoy much more.
SHANNA~What did you think of DH? I hope they don't all end up in jail in the finale. Bre is being very reckless, Gabby is still funny, hope Lynette realizes how controlling she really is before she loses Tom for good. I'm liking Rene more this season. I wish they would show more of Susan and Mike since it took them so long to work out. How is your family doing?

Ticket stress this week 7 shows lets see how I do with this challenge.
My point is the VIP packages for NB are not 500.00 per VIP as was stated earlier they are 225.00 a piece plus they have been around longer than Daughtry and as Daughtry grow their VIPS will also increase in price as they have already... I love the fact NB's VIP packages included the pit ticket as that is where I want to be at all the shows no matter who I am going to see... Everyone has different views and different ideas thats what makes us who we are.. I for one would love to have a Daughtry FC...

Nickelback is charging 250.00 a package for their show and Daughtry charges 65.00 a ticket. I would rather deal with stress & get 4 shows in for the same price. I also like that Daughtryvip has been separate from the tickets because if I have to work & can't do vip I can still get a good seat. I wouldn't want all the good seats to be stuck with a ticket package. Thats how I fell about it as long as we get presale codes in before the actual presales we will be ok.
The VIP for Nickelback this time around is not that price... If they run the FC correctly I think it would be great so I have to disagree with you Patty.. Fans should not be having as much stress as I have seen over tickets plain and simple.... I think EVERY fan has the right to at least try and get good seats so if I have to pay to be in a FC to acquire those then bring it on....

I am not big on a paying fan clubs the only paying FC I like is the Goo Goo Dolls. They charge face for their tickets & give free meet & greets to random winners. I like nickelback but last tour their meet & greet packages skyrocketed to over $500 I dont want to hAVE TO PAY $$ FOR A SHOW.

I hope Dalton is ok my little brother was accident prone & it is scar in school he got slammed in the head with a bat, a hockey stick & a ball fractured his nose and there were more outside of school it is scary when kids are accident prone. Hey girls. How are all of you doing? I am all right just sitting here at my sisters house for a bit. I came over to watch some shows and was going to leave but my nephew doesn't want me to leave until his mom, stepdad and brother get back. He says he doesn't mind being home alone but doesn't want to be sleeping when nobody else is here. He says it's weird and kind of freaks him out so being the nice aunt that I am I told him I'd hang around til they get back.....I want to read a bit before heading to bed and have to put out my recycle and would prefer to do it before it gets too late but oh well...
Yesterday I actually did some weights and some new thing and its totally kicking my a** so taking things slowly and not overdoing it so I won't be in too much pain. Friday night I am supposed to be getting together for dinner with several girls I work with so that should be fun. And my mom comes back in a week from today.. Kind of looking forward to it, kind of not. It'll be nice to have company and things but now I won't have everything to myself and my free time. HOpefully tho I'll finally get my room in order. lol
Oh and my poor nephew Dalton he sbeen having such a rough time lately getting hurt a lot at home and at school. I wish there was something I could for him. He's such a typical boy tho and rarely pays attention to where he is going. Twice last week he hit his head and passed out at school. So scary. One itme a kid accidently hit him iwht a chair b/c Dalton was hiding under table and kid didn't know it. Oh and a week ago after visiting with dad and stepmom we were saying goodbye and he started choking on some ice and it was one of the most frightening things I ever had to see and there relaly was nothing we could do to help him as his dad tried and tried to make it better. It haunted me and choked us all up. I pray that doesn't happen again and that he can stop hurting himself so much..
Terri no I am not watching The Bachelor. Since its already hard to keep up with everything else with not having tv stations at home and having to watch at my sister I had to opt at this time. Has it been wild yet? I've seen some of the commercials. Have you been watching DH? Bree is acting totally out of her element. I do hope they end the season on a good note and not something I would despise. Work is going okay. We have less help and I stay constant which means my arm muscles bother me a lot which makes the gym even more tiring too. Most people are starting to be nice again but there are still some awful ones nad I will find myuself stressed out once in awhile.
Sheila that is great your'e able to see the boys a couple of times. Sounds fun. Can't wait til they open up some shows for hte west side of the U.s. On plus side, at least that gives me time to save up some money when they do make it over here. And yay about getting to see Nickelback. I want to see them soooo bad. Do you have their latest cd? I have not gotten it yet and was wondering how it was. Sorry you have not been feeling good and are all cooped up. Hope things have improved now. I have had a cough for over 4 weeks now. I felt like it was finally going away but it always comes back but has improved.

Been sick as some of you know... Still not a 100% and it is wearing on my nerves being pinned up in the house and its so nice out right now....
No the Lake Charles date was a bust... I am traveling to San Antonio next month to see the D Boys and then again in March to Moline to see them.. We did not get any dates on the first leg of the tour so I am not traveling to any of the dates they posted I will wait till they come closer to me.. I am however seeing Nickelback June 1 in Dallas with my daughter so we are pumped about that date....
Terri- My husband and I are traveling to St Louis in March prior to the Moline show so maybe you and I can do lunch somewhere and finally meet that would be so awesome....
