Maria, Alison and I ate at "Southern Hospitality" Restaurant (owned by Justin Timberlake) since Chris has recommended it more than once (and since it's only 5 blocks from Alison's home - and right in her neighborhood in the upper East side of NYC).
He's right - great atmosphere and the food was delicious!
Thanks for the recommendation, Chris!!!!

I didn't take ANY pictures at this show because I just really wanted to take it ALL in!
Also, I appreciated so much that the band recognized me.
Thanks, Daughtry, for the smiles, waves, silly faces & acknowledgement - it meant so much to me!
I'm still on cloud nine smiling!
See ya Aug. 4th in Foxboro, Mass!

And is painted by Jim Lee - and is so cool, and sounds HOT, as always!!!!! Eye-wink

I also just want to add that Daughtry's songs ALL just speak to my soul and there is NOTHING in this world I like to do more than go to a Daughtry show. Some of my friends ask me "don't you ever get tired of seeing the same show over again?" And my answer is always this:
"No, because no 2 shows & experiences are ever the same! Plus, now they have 19 new songs!!!!"

It's so true! Each of my 19 shows has been wonderful and unique! I have funny (and stressful) stories of getting to ALL the shows - but the memories are all AWESOME and will last a lifetime!
Life is too short!
We must do the things that make us the happiest - without hesitation!!!!
(That's my motto! .... Like it?)
Anyway....
I love you DAUGHTRY and anyone who reads this.... if you haven't been to a show yet....GO!
You are in for a SERIOUS TREAT!!!!

This show was probably the smallest of the small venues I've been to!
It seemed like there were maybe only about 300 (or so) people in there? (Hard to tell) but super small!
Alison, Maria and I got in line at about 4:30 and were maybe about 10th in line or so.
There was a bigtime glitch at the front door, unfortunately, and so we ended up getting passed by a bunch of fans and were panicing.
Luckily we still got to be in the front row - but we were all the way over to the right (facing the stage).
I had a wondeful view of Chris, Steely, Brian and JP, but a big Amp. was blocking my view of Joey, unfortunately (but he sounded great!)
The show was a perfect mix of old and new songs and was a little over an hour long.
The guys had been up since about 4am (due to the Today's show) but you never could have guessed because every song they performed sounded PERFECT to me, and the seemed full of energy!!!!
They opened with one of my fav. new songs..."Every time you turn around" - i love that song and hearing it live made me love it even more. The WoooHooo's in it are awesome and it's just such a good "feel-good" happy song, (I think!) It's ROCKIN' too!
The older songs they sang that night were What I want, It's Not Over, Over You, Breakdown and Home.
(I LOVED hearing Over You and Breakdown, especially!!!)
(I'm a bit tired of Home and It's Not Over - don't get me wrong; they are GREAT and SPECIAL songs, it's just that the radio has played them sooo much in the last almost 3 yrs.)
I never get tired of Breakdown or Over You though!!!!
I understand though, that Home is a very special song to Chris and also that Home and It's Not Over are some of their huge HITS that maybe newer fans would recognize and want to hear live - so I'm TOTALLY cool with hearing them still. I would suggest though, that they bring back CRASHED!!! That song is my favorite (along w/ Breakdown and Over You) off the first album.
I just think it's a KEEPER and should be used still - and I also think There and Back again would be great to bring back!!! What I want was fun to hear again, of course!
(I hope so much to hear these on Aug. 4th and have my fingers crossed!!!!)
Ghost of You is great live and so is You Don't belong - so rockin' !!!!!
Hmmm, what else of the new songs did they sing?
OH! September, of course, was AMAZING and Chris mentioned how "it's definitely HIS FAVORITE song off the new album 'by far' " It's def. one of my favorites too!
They did many other new songs that night too which were just pheonominal (I know someone below posted the set-list).
Oh, No Suprise was awesome! It was really fun... Chris had us (the crowd) all sing the first "And na Ohhh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-o part!) It's sounded really cool!
It was a great time and a great show, even though it was just about an hour long.
It was great to see many other fans / friends there who I know as well!
I feel very blessed to have been at a show that was on such a special day for DAUGHTRY - July 14th, 2009 (the release day of "Leave This Town") and will never forget it!
I could go on & on with more, but this is getting long!
Bottom line - I had a wonderful time, they sounded INCREDIBLE, they had amazing energy, and it was a great night!!!
Thanks Daughtry and RCA and WPLJ!!!!!
From, a very HUGE and grateful fan,
Jill T. Smiling

This was my 10th DAUGHTRY show and It was just surrreal to hear the new songs live on JULY 14th, the day of the release of LTT!!! I was up front all the way to the left (the bands' left) and again experienced the intimacy and emotion of a small venue in NYC...the feelings that I felt were deeply intense as this is what DAUGHTRY's music does to me! Chris' voice was sooooo crystal clear and the guys were just perfect instrumentally. I am so thankful to DAUGHTRY, DO and RCA (and WPLJ) for making this concert possible, I am still smiling and loving my experience from the other night!!!!! All the songs are amazing but for some reason, Hearing September and Ghost of Me live moved me to the core......I jus love you DAUGHTRY!!!

Daughtry, at a tiny small theatre in NYC the day the album drops, in the second row in between Chris and Steely...who could ask for more? Honestly,it pretty much was what I have been wanting for the last three years, and yes I am so spoiled now:) I just loved the intimacy of the show. I think artistically the show just comes off differently than in a large venue. Being so close you can sense more all the feelings that come through in the music. The sound, the acoustics in the room and Chris's voice were right on. I loved listening to the new songs. Yes, the crowd wanted "Poker Face" but it really wasn't the night for that. They really tied the old and new songs together nicely. It is really hard to pick a favorite. "September" was especially amazing live, as I knew it would be. There is something special about it...still figuring out what it is. I have not gotten the song out of my head since that night. "Life After You" and "Ghost of Me" stood out for me as well. I literally ran to the train station to get to this show knowing it was all going to be worth it. For some reason I always seem to walk away from a Daughtry show a little different. Just in between the time I ran to the train station and the time the show started I learned a lot about people, the good and the bad. In a lot a ways this show almost felt like my first. I probably will never forget it and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be there on July fourteenth the day "Daughtry history" was made.

Thankyou Daughtry for doing these small shows! It truly is a gift to your fans. And Chris, I promise I will learn all the lyrics for the next one:)

From the first note, I knew this was going to be a great show! The new songs are even better live, if that's possible! The guys all looked ready and refreshed, even though it must have been a grueling long day!
Steely always gets so into the music, and you can just tell by the smile on his face that he's lovin' life and lovin' what he's doing!
Brian...I am always on his side for some reason, and I just love to watch him sing along to the music. He shines such a bright light!
JP...what can I say?? You are just the shizzle! all over the stage..wonderful positive energy...just a pleasure to watch! Smile! Smiling
Joey..you kill on the drums! Unfortunately I didn't get to see much from my vantage point, but I heard you....and that's what it's about..listening to those thundering drums!
Chris.....oh Chris...your vocals...from the growly rocking songs down to the sweetest of notes in the beautiful ballads...simply fantastic. The smiles..playing to the crowd...simply perfect!
I feel so blessed to be part of release day, and look forward to hanging on for the rest of the ride...I see more platinum in the future! Thanks for yet another amazing show! Smiling

This show was probably one of my Favorites... They sounded great it made me realized how much they really appreciate all of their fans.... I was very lucky to attend this show. The new album is incredible.. Chris & the rest of the guys were jumping around on stage like it was their first show.. I loved the whole night & can't wait to go to another show Smiling Love to all of you xoxoxo THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

I feel SO lucky and SO privledged to have seen this. Thank you DO again!! It was amazing. The boys are back and they rocked it harder than ever. I was front row, right in front of JP and Brian. I could not stop staring at Brian and how intense and so into it he was. JP was the lovely JP he always is.. jumping around and getting into it. Steely was great! He was jamming out and you could tell he was excited to be back on stage. Joey was wonderful.. and Chris.. he looked so refreshed and ready to rock it out! This had to have been one of the best shows I have been to. I just watched them and watched how gracious they were of the fans that were there rocking out with them! It was an awesome show, they looked and sounded great and the new songs ROCKED!!

I had been up since 3am that morning, because I went to the Today Show and then drove 5 hours to get home right after the show. I was exhausted, but its the best exhaustion I have felt! Thank you again, boys. You made the 5 hour trip SOOO worth it. LOVE U ALL! SEE U ON THE ROAD!

Yesterday was just the most incredible day. I didn't sleep at all the night before because I knew I had to be up @ 2am for the Today show. Totally worth it cause it landed me front & center. I never dreamed I could duplicate that again @the PLJ show...but there I was front & center AGAIN! These guys rocked the house!!! Every song old & new was just fantastic. We rocked out hard in the front row. Glad we were there to make up for the kind of lame folks up in the seats. Guess that's what happens when you win free tix on the radio. I'm glad there were so many DO fans representing. I had a blast with my new front row friends. You guys better FB me cause I didn't take any of your info. You guys helped make a great day even greater! I love the new set up with Steely, Chris, JP & Brian straight across the front of the stage. When Chris said he had a long day & had been up since 4 am I put both my hands up like HELLO and he said "Actually the girls in the front row have been up at least that long too:. Awesome shout out to acknowledge & appreciate us. I didn't think anything could ever top VIP from last summer but yesterday completely blew that away. By far the best Ive ever seen these guys!!!!! Can't wait for VIP in MA.

& many more to come!!!!!

I knew I had to take the chance and go.

Left work at about 3:30, and got into NYC around 6:15 with no ticket... Believe it or not, it took me less time to get to NY in rush hour than to come back home, and I live closer than where I work!

I found parking on the street a half block from the venue, and there was only an hour left until parking was free, so it only cost me $2!!! UNBELIEVABLE...

Found Patty right away, and started asking people in line if they were going in by themselves... This, wonderful lady, - Brita was her name - raised her hand. She is my angel. Smiling Her brother wasn't able to come, so she graciously offered to let me go with her. She was so sweet, she said she was hoping someone would ask, because she didn't want it to go to waste! I offered to buy her and her friends a round, but they declined. She said, just enjoy the show!

I TELL YOU... DAUGHTRY PEOPLE ARE THE BEST!

Hope to pay it forward someday!

In this meantime, my beloved Terry was hopelessly lost. I was trying my best to keep her calm, and to guide her to the venue, but she was in Chinatown, and I couldn't figure out which direction she was in from memory. I know my way around Manhattan, but not so well when you get to the alphabet streets! Finally, she was able to get good directions, and was on her way.

Once inside I lost Patty... She had a DO ticket, so we were in different lines to get in. While looking for her, I saw Jill T, AlisonNYC, Maria, TracyMC, and Ann (Jerseygirl), so i was in good company. The venue was tiny... Just like old times! Smiling Ended up in 3rd row in front of Steely's mic.

We were so close... Smiling

The boys sounded great! They were so happy to be back. They had a couple of technical issues, but not many would notice. Chris is just a perfectionist, but he entertained the crowd with some playful banter, and all was well. I'm sure someone will post the set list somewhere.

So... Some details. No Poker Face or Long way or TABA. Chris did do I want you (She's so heavy), which is on FIRE!!! I hope he continues that once the tour starts. September made me tear up. Life after you made me want to dance a waltz! Hee... I don't know how long they played for, I wasn't counting. I sent as much crack as I could, but ran out of songs for all of my beautiful friends! (Laurie and Sarah! Sorry you got cut off! Sad ) I took no pictures, because I'm terrible at it!. I just wanted to soak it all in and enjoy! All in all it was just so amazing and heartwarming to see them up there so happy, and without the horrible distractions that come with the infernal mosh pit I was in 2 weeks ago. Smiling

What a blessing to be there on that day. My heart is full.

but the guys are better and better each time I see them!! The show was great and I loved the Gramercy. Thanks again RCA-Ed!

...after last night's show that was simply the BEST way to end LTT launch day! The weather was perfect, met up w/ lots of Daughtry peeps and waiting in line all day paid off ...front row on the rail is the only way to fly, so close that I could see Chris's dental work! LOL! Seriously, the new songs sound great...September is simply beautiful....I can see why Chris called it his favorite song on the album. ETYTA rocks so good and was a perfect opening for the night. Ghost of Me drives the adrenaline up through the roof...yeah, it's gonna be difficult trying to pick a favorite song from this CD!
Thank you for an amazing night that showed me it's been worth the wait. Love you guys!

GREAT SHOW! You all sounded amazing. September and You Don't Belong are my favorites on LTT, but I reserve the right to change my mind as my mood fits:) See you in MA...I will hope for There and Back Again...I have never heard it live.

"Don't wait for the hands of time. To second guess and change your mind..."

Awesome show, loved every minute!! It was my first show in the front row, and boy was it worth standing in line early!!

I was beyond excited to see the guys play live again after their much deserved break. The crowd (at least in front...sorry Chris, those in the seats just didn't get it) seemed really into it. The new songs were great - really like September and Every Time You Turn Around live. Of course, You Don't Belong just doesn't seem new, but love it too! You're forgiven for ditching TABA even though it was on the set list - must have been a really long day for you all.

See you next in Tennessee!

Absolutely AMAZING SHOW thanks so much again you guys rock!!! A big THANK YOU to RCA Ed for the ticket to the show from my cd presale!

Thank you so much Daughtry and RCA for this incredible opportunity to see a show on CD launch day...this is going to be great.!

Can't believe in less than a week I will be at the show seeing Daughtry the day their sophomore album drops!Cool

Congrats to everyone! I'm a tad confused though. Thought they were being given to the first 50 from the NY area?? Fingers crossed that I may still receive that coveted e-mail Smiling
