In my opinion Daughtry should have been in Nickelback's place and Nickelback should have been on for 45 minutes NOT Daughtry.
I have never had so much fun at a concert before. The guys did an awesome job of getting the audience up on their feet. Even the people who came just for Nickelback were into Daughtry. My best friend couldn't make the concert and I called her when the guys sang home and she was amazed at how well they did and said she felt like she was at the concert just because they were so down to earth and enthusiastic.
All in all, all i have to say is Daughtry better damn well tour Canada cause they would have sold out concerts across the country and I would go to every one of them in Ontario!
Thank you for coming to Toronto and when you come back you can count me, my mom and my two friends in for your concert.

I'm longwinded, so you may need to rest your eyes by the time I get done with this!

My sister-in-law and I left for Toronto at 5:30am and arrived at our hotel at 8. Grabbed a quick bite to eat, then back to the hotel to get ready for the show. It was raining all morning so why I bothered to do my hair is beyond me, but we at least have to start out looking good, right girls? Arrived at the venue about 11am and nobody was lined up yet- STUNNED! The gate to the ampitheater was open so of course we snuck inside to see the stage and where we planned our spots to be. We had floor seats- standing room only in front of the stage on a first come first serve basis. We were bound and determined to be front row! Security spotted us, asked if we had tour passes and we said no but we would be glad to accept some! We were ushered out and the gate was locked behind us- TIME TO LINE UP!

2 people in front of us in line at 11:30am. The rain was annoying, coming and going, but we had our umbrellas and made the best of it chatting and laughing with all the great people we met. The line quickly grew to hundreds and this line was only for those with floor seats. Show was set to begin at 5:45 and they let us in at 5:30. We were told not to run once they moved the barricade and proceed to security. We started out at a brisk walk, looked behind and a mob was quickly gaining on us. Time to RUN! We get to security first, no frisking necessary for us cuz all we had were the clothes on our backs cuz we threw everything else away. Next we run to the tickettaker guy who couldn't have ripped that ticket any slower- LOL- then we run some more to the wristband guy and finally to the front row off to the right a bit- smack dab where Josh Paul would be standing if he was there. We ran so much we were like frickin Forrest Gump!

The show began promtly at 5:45 with State of Shock and their music was really great and a fun band to watch. They joked with the fans and played for about 20 minutes- wish they played longer. Puddle of Mudd was next and I couldn't wait for them to be done. The singers voice was like nails on a chalkboard to me- different strokes for different folks though so you may love them! They played for 45 minutes and the singer mentioned DAUGHTRY and the crowd went wild. He laughed and said he didn't even know "that guy" (Chris), but he really needed to go give him a hug.

SO- the time was upon us! Thousands of people (about 20,000) screaming for DAUGHTRY! Setup was rather quick and before we knew it Joey, Brian, Josh, and Josh took the stage followed by Chris. First thing I noticed- JOEY! OMG- this guy is hysterical! He was wearing these red, white, and blue American flag SHORT shorts, white socks pulled up to his knees with red stripes around the tops, and a red headband- THAT'S IT! He was bursting with American pride and a big ole smile on his face I tell ya! JP took his spot right where he belongs for the opening notes to Crashed. He saw me smiled and said hi and in seconds he was bopping around JP style with his newly blonde hair wearing a black t-shirt that said PUNK. Josh Steely chose to be hatless for this one with hair a bit shorter, a brown shirt and dark jeans. He was tough to see well from my vantage point, but he looked great! Brian donned a beret type hat pulled down on his forehead, hair tucked behind his ears, a black long-sleeved shirt with white symbols on the shoulders and sleeves and blue jeans. You didn't want to hear about Chris did you? OH YOU DID! He was his handsome self wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black sneakers, and a black brimmed beanie on his head. The crowd was screaming crazy- it was unreal! Crashed was incredible megaphone and all and even the Nickelback fans around us that only knew It's Not Over and Home yelled and cheered as loud as we were when the song ended. Chris took off the jacket under which he wore a black tank top and his silver puffy heart necklace. It was the end for the beanie too. The rest of the set included Used To, It's Not Over, Home, Over You, What I Want, Breakdown, Gone, What About Now, and There and Back Again as the encore. They played 10 songs, 45 minutes and every single one had the crowd jumping! What About Now played live was really moving for me- yes this is my dork moment! Anyone that knows me knows this is a special song for me! It began with just Joey behind the drums with a tambourine and Chris with his guitar- as the song progressed the rest of the guys joined them on stage and it was amazing- can't put it in words, just amazing and one they need to keep playing! Powerful, wonderful, and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you guys so much for bringing this song into your shows! Every song live was so much better for me than the recorded album version- just something about what the band brings to each song! Joey backing up the vocals, JPs bass solos, and Brian and Josh ripping it on the guitars- just amazing live! Know what the best part was? The smiles on their faces while they played!

Once again, it seemed to be over too fast, but what a night! I finally got to see all 5 of these amazing musicians on one stage and they rocked the house! I missed Josh Steely the first show I was at and wondered if JP would be back and I was one lucky girl this 4th of July to get to see them all! I looked back from my front row spot at one point during the show to see the crowd gathered to see them and what a spectacular sight! It was just a sea of people all loving what they were doing on that stage. Can you imagine what it must be like for Chris, Brian, Josh, Joey, and Josh to see that every night? I am overjoyed for all of them and hope they soak it all in and love every second. The show can’t even be put into words- they have truly arrived and will not soon be forgotten. Many came just to see Nickelback, but I am certain tons left as DAUGHTRY fans! People were buzzing about the songwriting and energy they brought to the stage. Did I mention there was a half moon in Toronto? Ah yes, after Joey threw his drumsticks into the crowd and began leaving the stage, he mooned, well half mooned the audience- left buttcheek exposed. What a way to close a kickass show!

In case anyone is interested Nickelback put on an amazing show with a huge setup, pyrotechnics, fire and lights everywhere, explosions- the whole works! I love Nickelback music and I have to stay that Chad Kroeger (sorry if I misspelled) should be a comedian if he ever gives up music! Just the way he talked to his band and to the fans in the crowd- I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard! He was a riot and really made the show tons of fun cuz you never knew what would come out of his mouth next!

No photos, no autographs, and I didn’t get to meet up with the guys this time, but I wouldn’t trade my experience for anything! Thanks guys for doing what you do for us- I had an unbelievable time! Since I din’t get to tell you in person - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES OVER!

yep yep.. They were really really great!! Much more entertaining and 100% better then Nickleback too!
They had the crowd on their feet and everyone was enjoying themselves! Even people infront of us who were at the show just for Nickleback were enjoying themselves!! Crazy!
I got to the place just as soon as Daughtry went on the set and was so happy to see that I didn't miss them play.
I honestly can't explain how awesome they were!

When Daughtry came on I was in awe!THAT WAS THE BEST CONCERT EVERRR!!OMG I HAD GREAT SEATS! When Daughtry came on i was standing yelling and singing like a crazy fan! LOL he saw me from the staage and pointed towards us *i was like the onli one standing in my section*OMG THEN CHRIS WAS COMING OUT THROUGH THE VIP STAIRS AND MY SEAT WAS RIGHT BESIDE THE RAILING AND HE WAS WALKING PAST IT..AND I WAS LIKE THE ONLY ONE WHO KNEW IT WAS HIM SO I STUCK MY CAMERA OUT AND TRIED TO TAKE A PICTURE..AND CHRIS IS SO CUTE! I just got home from seeing Daughtry in Toronto and all I can say is that the show was AMAZING well worth the price of admission. Chris rocked the house, the best concert I have been to this year. Well done Daughtry well done!

ughh i just tried for the last time for the backstage passes and what a heart break..I FINALLY GOT THROUGH..my heart was racing and i had the biggest smile on my face..then..they hung up on me..i kept trying and trying, my heart pounding thinking this was my last chance..but they hung up on me again. Then i heard the winner. My one chance to meet daughtry was gone! what a heart break =( i cannot describe how i feel right now. I wish you all have fun at the concert with daughtry!

Try calling in guys, i never tought it was possible to win off the radio...but i was wrong and im glad!!! CANT WAIT FOR JULY 4TH!!!!

That's the thing that sucks about radio contests- the people that win usually (not always) could care less than the real fans (people that buy the album and listen to it and buy tickets to their concerts). Hopefully meeting the band will make them true fans...
I hope they headline another show too!

that after seeing how many fans there are in Canada that absolutely LOVE daugthry, they will consider coming back for another show of THEIR own! That would be wonderful!

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July in Canada than with American fans and Labatt Blue Canadian brew!

Flew to NYC to see you on GMA because no canadian dates yet.
Would LOVE to meet you guys.

Was just about ready to go to Buffalo to catch DAUGHTRY, but noticed he was coming to town. Don't know how the hell I missed out on the tickets going on sale, but got AWESOME SEATS REGARDLESS, looking forward to the concert. Really not Interested in seeing PUDDLE OF MUD or NICKELBACK, GONNA BE AN AWESOME CONCERT!!!!!!!!!!

Something about Chris, his voice, charisma, smile, love of family, made a connection with me from the first moment I saw him on Idol. I've never watched Idol before but he drew me in with his presence and I became an addict to Chris, every Tuesday night. I searched out his band, Absent Element and loved their style of music. I love music, from Damien Rice to System of A Down.

Chris has his hardcore fans from the beginning of Idol...all different age groups which is exciting. Now with the success of his CD and frequent radio airplay, the band has increased it's fanbase, forever growing, day by day. The concerts are drawing more fans and I can't express how excited I am to see Chris/Daughtry play in Toronto. I was hoping for a Daughtry headliner show in a club but that will come with more exposure and growth of sales in Canada.

Daughtry will find Canadians love their rock and will win over many new fans, once they've crashed through the border.

My husband has spent close to 400.00 because the first two tickets were in the 300 level and I was somewhat disappointed that he couldn't get better seats. The next day, he checked out another pre-sale and because of my love for Daughtry, he purchased 2 floor seats. I'm so happy he did this for me....was a birthday present. Now that's true love!

I've given my sister and her daughter the other 2 tickets because she's so busy with the kids and never has any time for herself. She hasn't been to a show since her early twenties and she's now in her late thirties. A better time, I can't imagine. It makes my not getting Tool tickets, an acceptable loss. I just found out Daughtry will be playing in Toronto. I was soooo excited that my boyfriend bought tickets for my birthday, which is just a few days before the concert.

Chris Daughtry has, from the very first time I saw him, made my heart thump and my eyes mist over just watching him. You can rest assured that I will be a crying, blubbering, fool watching the band on July 4th. I think my boyfriend is looking forward to watching a 38 year old woman cry like a teenaged school girl!!

Congrats Chris Daughtry on making a woman my age go completely weak in the knees! If I were to be selected I think I'd faint, but it would probably be the best thing to ever happen to me.

You know, my mom works three jobs. Shes got three teenagers, which usually giver her a hard time. But in my life, ive never sen anyone who cares so much, who works so hard, and who loves uncontrolably. If my mom got V.I.P, i think that would make her the happiest person in the world. She needs time to relax and have fun for once.

My tickets also say show starts at 5:45. I figure it has to be that early because 3 bands are playing and I think that there may be a curfew time for noise because it's outside.
