Ok, here we go....
I was saddened to learn that we hadn't won VIP, afterall.....there were only like a half of million other fans wanting them too! :0) Anyways, the weather was perfect! Standing outside wasn't too bad. The only real problem was that we were in the line that seemed to be there for BJ, rather than Daughtry.
My son was so excited. He was the laugh of our line because of his lack of patience.
Once inside, we immediately had to go to the seller booth. And I am glad that we did. Those beanies were hard to come by, by the end of the show. Not to mention, 95.00 dollars later I had to finally pull my son away from there. Yes, the spoiled little poop ended up with a beanie, t-shirt, pins and the BJ dog tags. (oh yeah, you should get some Daughtry ones!)
Then came the show. It was by far way too short while Daughtry was playing. Didn't stop us from having a good time though. Actually, it was rather funny because at the end of Chris' performance, he said something to the effect of, "in case you don't know, we are Daughtry!" As if there was anyone there that didn't know. Or at least everyone in our area knew because we were by far having the best time. We loved the new song. It was hard to hear the lyrics with the crowd going crazy, but we managed.
Then came my son's heartbreak....you didn't sing Crashed! I had told him from the previous shows that Crash by far gets the whole crowd rocking. He was a little disappointed in that, but his adrenaline was so high, I really think it didn't matter. I do have to say though....out of all the photo's floating around on the internet, I wish you would take some with your hat on. Hot! To say the least!
No, I take that back, you all were HOT! I especially loved the way JP moved around entertaining all of the crowd. But like I said, it went way too fast.
Bon Jovi was great, but I think Richie's (rumored) DUI before the show played an issue. (if the rumor is correct)
I did love it when Daughtry came back out and sang with John. That song by far rocked the whole center. It brought everyone in the center to their feet.
And at last, the show ended. Too bad we couldn't have caught a glimpse of ya afterwards (like when you were at Kempker with Nickelback) but....it was well worth the wait.
So, my suggestions.....not really any except for that it would have been way worth the few extra hundreds of dollars to be on the floor. Those lucky ducks! Oh and Yeah..........could you please stop with the opening acts and put yourself as the headliner? Us Daughtry fans would love that...maybe in a few months you could snag David Cook.....wouldn't that be one hell of a show! Who knows....ask and maybe we'll receive.
