I originally posted this on my MySpace blog on 7/9 but forgot to post it over here.

This was definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot). Daughtry was the opening act and let me tell you they kicked some serious ass! They just f***ing rocked. I think they played close to all the songs on their CD (including my personal favorite Breakdown) and Chris sang a cover of Fell on Black Days by Soundgarden (my all time fave Soundgarden song). It was awesome. I'm telling you, forget all the American Idol s***. This is a serious rock band. The energy was intense.

You guys were amazing at SPAC on the 8th!!!! I can't wait to see you again! Hopefully soon enough you guys will be the ones headlining the tour!!! Nickelback was amazing too... I have seen them many times!!! Keep doing what you do!!!! Hope to see you soon!

Well, as we know Daughtry had an awesome set. My seats were far back...but I think i am just spoiled with all the other venues that I had seen them at....Anything further than 20ft back was just not going to cut it. I guess I just have to get used to it...it is going to be harder and harder to get up close.

Anyways. Met lots of great Daughtry fans.....Fire you are the best! What an emotional day she had......not sure I would of held up as good as she did.

Daughtry sounded better than ever...Crashed was a bit off in the beggining...but Vegas was walking around and I could hear the corrections almost immediately after he left the sound stage (right next to us)

There and Back Again never sounded so Good.....JP brought it out in them. Being soo far back, the crowd energy was REALLY weak...but everyone was sitting on their rears...only a few of us were crazy. We could see Fire and Eddie and KRS from where we were and just wish we were there with them...then to see Eddie catch...or dive for Fire;s drumstick......ohhhhhhh. We knew they were having the times of their lives...and were happy for them.

Ok, all you lawn seat people. Spac is known for its lawn seats......they are half the price...cuz you can see nothing. Always been that way! Traffic always sucks...great agenda, but you need to know to get there early and get out before the encore song. I got out just a song or 2 after they started chucking beer into the audience. And we got to the car and out of saratoga in about 10 minutes. I learned this lesson my missing an opening act about 10years ago....

Dont hate spac. Even if you were to go to the TU center in albany...traffic is bad...

Stained sounded great and Nickelback was HUGE. I must say they put on a great show...and look like giants on the stage. what a set. Cannons....my god! Just glad to see Daughtry for one last time before the night ended.

I too was one of the unlucky ones sitting on Rt 50 not moving an inch when 7:00 came and went!!! Honestly I was shocked that Daughtry was on first before Staind; I guess I assumed Daughtry would be the middle band. But still, we should have had plenty of time to get from Schenectady to SPAC. But there we were sitting in our car getting angrier and angrier!!! My sis and I had good seats going to waste!!! When we finally got parked all the way out in the Peerless Pool lot, we literally ran (in FLIP-FLOPS on rocky trails through the woods!!!) the entire way (what felt like miles!!!) from the car to the seating and managed to catch the last few songs. We were told by the gate keeper at SPAC that once we got to that parking lot, it would be a "minute to minute and a half walk" to the concert. BULL! I think he meant to say mile to mile and a half!!! SPAC needs to get their act together! The parking situation, both entering and exiting, is ridiculous! To make matters worse, the gate we came in through was closed after the show and everyone was directed out onto Rt. 9 and we had no idea where we were or how to get home!

I feel really sorry for the fans who bought lawn seats too. A friend of mine who sat on the lawn asked me the next day, "How was the concert?". She could not see a thing!!

Daughtry, please look into this before planning a visit to the Capital District. The Times Union in Albany would be so much better for your fans! Or try the bigger arenas in Syracuse, Buffalo, etc. SPAC sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still give the show 5 stars though since what I did get to hear was AWESOME!!!! I was one of the lucky ones to make it to both the 3/17/07 Troy show and this SPAC show. As usual, Chris you sounded incredible! The songs we did get to hear rocked! I love how (Nickelback's) Chad kept getting the crowd to shout their love for Daughtry and how he brought you guys back out during their set! What a great show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see you next month at the Erie Fair!!!!!

I'm sure the show at the Saratoga Performaning Arts Center was great, Too bad many of us Daughtry fans never got to see it. Thanks to the lack of traffic control for the parking thousands of us sat on the road in our cars while Daughtry rocked the SPAC. If for some reason any of you decide to ever go back to CRAP I mean SPAC be sure and leave the day before the show. What a joke this place is. Too bad since once you are able to get inside the seating and views were decent. Is it just me or has there been alot of problems with the event places on this tour.

Daughtry once again delivered a GREAT performance. They were amazing. Soo much energy, they had everyone on their feet!!!! LOVED IT!!

I was one of the unfortunate suckers who sat on rte 50 with my son for 1 1/2 hours trying to get into SPAC. My friend was already inside so I called at start time and she told me you were on stage. I was still waiting when she called me back to say your set was over. Since Daughtry was the only reason I bought tickets, I just drove home. ....2 great seats and I couldn't get in.

According to inside info, 1/3 of the crowd left after Daughtry and another 1/3 after Staind. I suspect some of the remainder were Daughtry fans who stayed to hear the whole concert. What this tells me is that Daughtry was a huge draw, and I would bet money that most of the people came to hear YOU!!!!!!

Glad I was able to see you at Revolution Hall....you have truly made it and I am so happy for you!!! I predict you will be headlining at these venues soon, and next time I will bring a picnic and arrive in the am. Better yet, book the Times Union arena downtown. Better parking and everyone can see.

It was an amazing show..I had balcony seats so it was kinda hard to see but at least I got to see and hear the best band in the land...I felt so sorry for the people on the lawn...I don't get why they even sell those tickets...there is no view and you can't always hear well. Thanks for coming back to NY...I can't wait to see more shows..so please come back soon....

I totally agree with what every one is saying about SPAC. I traveled from Syracuse. I thought we were on time, but apparently we weren't. With what felt like an 8 mile walk, when we finally arrived at our seats we had missed most of Daughtry's set. Which was my main reason for going! From what I saw, the band was great. I only wish I saw the whole show. For the lawn seat people, well, they all should get a refund. But we in the seats also were not too happy. My brother couldn't even bring in a cup of water with out being stopped! Sorry to complain but if you ever decide to play central NY, COME TO SYRACUSE!! We love you here!!

We drove for 4 hours from NJ to get to the concert, stayed overnight and brought our 3 boys with us (9, 10 & 12). We all love Daughtry, but when we got to SPAC, anyone with lawn seats (as we had) could not even get a glimpse of a stage. We did not see any of the concert and niether did several thousand other people . There were people leaving in droves because they were so disgusted with the venue. We could not even see the screen that was set up because of the trees. We had bought the tickets a while back and the kids were totally pumped up about going. What a huge dissapointment for them and us. I will never attend an event at this venue again. I don't know how SPAC is able to sell these lawn seats to "see" a concert without listing the seats as "obstructed" or "no view" at all. I am sure the concert was spectacular for those who could actually see it, but for us it was a big let down. Daughtry's managers may want to take a look at the conditions at some of these venues so that thier fans are not as dissappointed as many were at the SPAC concert. Not sure how they get away with selling the lawn seats as actual seats for a concert when there is no chance of even seeing the concert. The worst nose bleed seats I have ever had were better than at SPAC. We have been to many concerts with lawn seats at different venues and could always see the stage.

i don't know if this happened to anyone else but, we were in traffic for 2 hours and MISSED THE ENTIRE DAUGHTRY CONCERT!! we had bought the tickets so our KIDS could go this time. we couldn't get them tickets to the troy concert.
they talked about it all day (not to mention the months prior)how they were so excited!!! so you can imagine our dissappointment when we finally go into the venue and chris was over!!! i felt so bad for our kids!!!
I just wanted to know if daughtry knew some of his fans were stranded in traffic for 2 hours and never made it into the venue until the second band or even later. im sure there were still people waiting on route 50 even after we entered the venue. or they were walking miles to get into the venue and misses the first act!
i am totally dissappinted with spac and let them know it. we had inside tickets and couldnt' even get into the venue when we got inside.
i have never been to a conert that was this disorganized for that amount of people in all the years ive been going to concerts, which is alot!
just wanted daughtry to know alot of us were sitting on the highway while they were playing.
TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH SAD KIDS!
hope they can avoid this next time their in the area!

Another A+ show! The group is getting better each time I see them with energy, stage presence, and interaction with the crowd. LOVED "What about now" I am SO glad they added it to the set list. It's my favorite song and it's nice to hear more of the ballads.

I took my 8 year old daughter and we were lucky enough to meet everyone except for Chris. She was excited the guys took time to talk to her, sign her shirt and Joey even kissed her hand (she still has starry eyes from it

Can't wait to see the guys again. What a great bunch of guys, so down to earth and just a pleasure to interact with!

It was definitely worth it to travel 3 hours to Saratoga Springs, NY to see Daughtry. I had an amazing time at the concert and saw another great performance by Daughtry!! Thanks to my aunt my cousins Andrew, Jeff, and I had GREAT seats too; 15th row from the stage! (This is probably why it took us forever to get our hearing back!) This is probably the closest I have ever been to a stage at a concert. It also helped that SPAC is a small theater! I still used my binoculars for a little bit, just to get a close-up look at the guys! Chris sounded great! I liked how he used the megaphone in "Crashed" and in a few other songs. He seemed to have some trouble with the megaphone at first, but then luckily he got it working! I love that he interacted a lot with the audience. People were going crazy each time Chris threw out his hat, towels, and water bottle to the audience! I saw him slap hands with the people in the front and then at the end he ran in front of the stage. I loved the jokes Chris made about Joey's hair- one day looking like Vince Vaughn, then Brad Pitt. It was also nice to hear him sing "What About Now." At the Six Flags show I attended, he did not sing this song so it was cool to hear it at this concert. Daughtry's final song of the night was "There And Back Again" and they really rocked out during this one. It was great!

Staind's performance was good, although I'm not really a huge fan of theirs. I like some of their songs but felt their performance wasn't as exciting as Daughtry's or Nickelback's. During the beginning of Staind's performance I thought I saw Josh Steely standing around the outer part of the stage. When I realized it was definitely him, I started walking to where he was to have him sign my ticket. Unfortunately, he had already started walking backstage so I did not get to meet up with him. Almost though! Maybe if I walked up a little sooner I would have met up with him!

Nickelback had an awesome performance as well. They really put on a good show. This was the first time I saw Nickelback in concert and I would definitely go see them again! I loved the fireworks/sparks set off on stage. It was really neat! Chad Kroeger is hilarious and I like how he and his band interacted a lot with the audience. Chad's joke about the fans pulling his pants down when he would walk out to the audience, not to see him naked, but to take the clothes and sell them on Ebay, was so funny! Also, it was funny when he talked about people getting the cds off of Limewire. It was hysterical when they threw the beer from the stage! I couldn't believe it. My cousin Andrew almost got one. It came between our row and the one in front of us. My cousin and the guy both went for it, but then it ended up spilling on the guy's girlfriend. Everyone was cool about it, just laughing and all. Another woman next to us got beer all over her cell phone. It was pretty funny. Anyway, I was SO EXCITED when Nickelback called Daughtry back on stage to shoot the teeshirts out of those cannon balls. I started screaming and cheering for Daughtry. I totally did not expect it, and was so glad to see Daughtry one more time! All of the guys were out across the stage and I was so thrilled that Chris was right in front of my section! He looked so cute again, coming out with his black hat and all. I have always liked Nickelback, but now I appreciate them more just for bringing Daughtry on their tour and for calling them back out on stage during their performance!

Wow, what a night! Overall, it was an amazing concert. Daughtry definitely took me there and back again!!!

This was the best concert experience EVER! You guys were awesome -- and I was on the rail to experience the whole thing! Can't ask for anything more than to be up front for your favorite band! You are much too humble -- thanking your audience for showing up early to see you -- DAUGHTRY was the main attraction for many of us! I'm assuming, and would love to know for sure, if Chris did the sketch used on your picks, knowing that he wanted to be a comic book artist. I am so thrilled to have one!

Last, but not least, I would like to commend you guys for keeping your shows PG. There is no need to use expletives when exchanging with the audience. As a matter of fact, adults with children don't have to cringe and you don't run the risk of offending anyone. You guys are not only talented musicians, but a class act as well. LOVE you guys!!

WE drove to Saratoga MANY miles from LI (Toni) and NYC (me) to see you guys and it was a GREAT show! Not only did you DAUGHTRY rock out, but we go to meet some other amazing fans, (Firelight, Kris, Heather, Patti, Rachel) and also hang out with Joey, Brian, Vegas, Steely, and JP! Of course, I would have loved to meet Chris, but seeing him so close on stage was magical and soooooo much fun!! Thanks to the band for taking the time to take pics with us and thanks to DAUGHTRY for being the amazing band and people you are! We had a blast and CANNOT wait to see you again on Saturday in Hershey! Chris, maybe I'll get to meet you there!!!! I can dream can't I?? I have been a fan since the first audition. I not only admire your music but also your ideals regarding family life. I bought a VIP ticket with my cousin (dinples) because we felt anything else would be too far away. Our husbands think were crazy and we say only for DAUGHTRY! Pick me I would love to meet you personally!

I bought a $225.00 ticket for 10 rows back VIP section. Meeting the band would make my experience complete!

Been a Daughtry fan since the audition episodes and am psyched to take my wife to see the band...plus the possibility of getting a VIP pass makes it a phenomenal birthday present for her (July 11)...not to mention to let him know personally that my rock band plays "Home" which has become a standard and most requested song of our live shows in the Upstate New York area!!!
