My husband and I drove 8 hours from Louisiana for the concert to meet my best friend who drove 8 hours from Colorado. The concert was worth every mile and then some! It was touching how humbled Chris was by the crowd. They were expecting 20,000 and 40,000 people attended! It was packed and muddy but no one cared- the concert was that awesome! He's such an amazing singer, songwriter, and performer and the band sounded great. I especially want to thank Chris and the band for being so great to their fans. We waited outside by the bus after the concert and all of the band members came out and signed every single autograph the fans wanted, talked to the fans, let us take pictures... they were all really cool. About 45 minutes later Chris came out and did the same thing. He signed an autograph for every single person waiting and let us take pictures. He was behind a fence and I'm sure he felt like a caged animal at the zoo, but he was so cool about it. He took 4 or 5 pictures with this one obsessed fan near us and climbed up the fence to take pictures with her kid - how cool is that? even though then he didn't have time to take pictures with some other fans that wanted one... I still can't complain because he was so nice to everyone. The whole experience was amazing! Like many fans, I've loved him since his first audition on American Idol and followed him the whole show, bought the Absent Element cd too... but he has by far surpassed any other Idol contestant. He didn't need to win, all he really needed was some exposure. The rest is pure talent. The cool thing about him is that he still seems like the same guy we fell in love with on Idol. Stay cool Chris, you deserve all of the success you have and more. We are so proud of you and love you!

OMG, he concert was fantabulous! I'm a huge Daughtry fan...me and my sister both. We both went to enjoy the show and were far from disappointed. I'm so glad that the band was able to make it down here.....I've been a fan since american idol and actually quit watching the show last season after Chris got voted off.....and when the CD came out, i was sooooo exstatic! When i bought the CD and saw all the people who worked so hard to help get it out, i was even more thrilled. You did an awesome job...BTW, when the next CD gets started, try to get the rights to "Black" by pearljam....cuz wow oh wow, that was the best rendition of that song I've ever heard, and it is my favorite song...so I'm the biggest critic on that one. Again, great job and thank you sooooo much for putting on such a great show. Who knows..maybe someday we'll duet a song together.....well, a girl can dream I suppose.

OMG thank you thank you thank you......the concert was amazing and the fact that you took the time to say happy birthday to my little girl just made it soo much more special. Wow. Friday night was amazing. Chris is absolutly AMAZING in concert. It was insaine. I was in front and wow....hes like an orgasim for your eyes!!! He is so good live. American Idol didn't do him justice he should have won!! I loved the concert and Chris seems like a really cool nice guy. and his band....HOT! that was definately a WOAH BABY moment!!!
Friday was perfect and Chris was perfect!!!!! I'll be a devoted fan for life!!

FRIDAY NIGHT WAS AMAZING. I WAITED IN THE HOT SUN FOR4 HOURS AND GOT PUSHED AROUND BECAUSE EVERYBODY WAS TRYING TO GET CLOSE. MY SEATS WERE CLOSE AND I LOVE EVER MINUTE OF THE CONCERT!!!! THANKS FOR A GREAT SHOW AND I AM SO ANXIOUS TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!!! I SURE WAS DISAPPOINTED WHEN GETTING THERE. I WENT THROUGH SECURITY AND THEY TOLD ME I COULDN'T BRING IN MY CAMERA. SO I WALKED BACK TO THE CAR AND PUT IT UP. BUT BY THE TIME THE CONCERT STARTED EVERYBODY HAD A CAMERA AND ITS JUST NOT FAR. I WAS THAT CLOSE AND I COULD HAVE GOT A GREAT PICTURE OF YOU AND THE BAND AND I DIDN'T. I WAS UPSET! IT SURE WOULD BE AWESOME IF SOME HOW I COULD GET A PICTURE OF THE BAND!

Ok so I wasn't physically there but I was able to hear the concert thanks to my best friend who held her cell phone up and on so that I could hear my #1 band! Besides the fact that you ROCKED THE HOUSE!!!!

What makes everyone a true Daughtry fan is your compassion for your fans...that big huge heart of yours is what makes us all LOVE you so much....and in this show alone you did two things that won my heart again..

1st you stopped the show because someone was hurt and you called for medical attention and waited til you knew they were ok before you continued....that was true human compassion at its best!

2nd you took the time out of your concert to say Happy Birthday to my best friends lil girl and when every girl in the house tried to claim it was their birthday you said no no and waited til the right one was pointed out in the crowd and told her "Happy Birthday Sweetheart" and OMG that was the best!

I have admit I've had your cd since the day it was released and the one song that I've not been able to listen to since my boyfriend left me is Over You...I just can't do it, it hurts too much, well Friday night, when you said, "have you ever loved somebody and not had them love you back" OMG that so grabbed my heart and I sang that song with you, on my balcony, with people looking at me like a crazy loon, I sang it to the top of my lungs! Thank you for helping me take the steps to heal my broken heart....it was like you were saying that just for me....

This was my first concert and now i'm addicted to Daughtry, and concerts in general.

Last night was amazing! The music was more than anyone expected! Flawless! I even got to do CPR! Thank god he's ok! To Chris, Kansas really doesn't smell that bad I promise! And I still want that shirt! Oh yeah Joey, do not spend those dollars! Hurry back! And we'll see you in KC! Love ya!

I've only been to a few concerts but last night's was awesome. I waited for 5 hours, I was dehydrated, muddy, and there were tons of people there but it was all worth it and more when I saw Daughtry. The performance was amazing. I was also impressed with how many times he thanked the fans and impressed when he showed some concern for the person who had gotten hurt and wouldn't continue the concert until he knew it was ok to continue. I also like how he was amazed that so many people were there to see them. I loved the whole thing and Daughtry needs to come back again.

It was an awesome show even though at times it seemed a little too loud to understand. There was also some kind of "emergency" at stage left that Chris mentioned even though our newspaper said nothing about it. Kind of had the crowd stunned with that. Overall, the crowd was huge, the music loud, and an awesome experience from America's #1 rocker! Thanks so much for coming to Wichita.

That was my first concert ever!! ... and it was amazing! i loved it.. you guys rocked it out. i knew all your words and sang and jumped and wow it was just wow. i lost my voice.. but it was so worth it! cant wait till the next concert!

Great show last night and no better way to open the River Festival than with a concert that smoked all the others in the previous 5 years I have attended. I know making it to Wichita is not easy for bands to fit into a tour schedule but I sure hope you make it this way again. Thanks for a great show!!

Thanks for caring so much, when someone got hurt or something, not sure what happend, all I know of is some problem when you stopped the show, most concerts I've been to have never done that. I have been contacted and I have responded. I resisted the urge to faint when I first read the email and I am so looking forward to the concert.
I am not at all sad and am really looking forward to the signed poster. It will go directly into a frame and up on the wall in a prominent spot. I won't lie. I would have loved to have gotten into the sound check and all of that, but I understand with an outdoor event in such a large venue, the logistics are a nightmare. It will be a great time camping out on the sidewalk the night before and Wichita has never been rocked like it will be on Friday.

I just read (with much disappointment) that the VIP ticket winner actually will *not* get the Meet & Greet priviledge at this concert, but a signed poster instead. Too sad to be true, you say? Click on News + Blog and then click on More where the VIP Sequel rules are then scroll down and you'll see that the concerts given at festival sites (including May 11 in Wichita) are not getting the VIP treatment.

Feeling sad and a little misled. Afterall, "VIP Entry" was what the contest was about; I'm not entirely sure when the list of uneligible shows was posted but I don't recall it being there when I posted my entry. Maybe the contest should be changed for the festival venues to "Signed Poster Entry".

there is no longer going to be actual vip tix given on this concert... the winner is going to receive an autographed picture from the guys, but so far i haven't seen where they have contacted the winner... don't know if the same 7 day rule applies since there is no actual meet and greet anymore...
