Why I am a fan

I am a fan (and you should be too), because...
My mother and I followed Chris Daughtry from the auditions to the finale of American Idol, making our own bets between family on his chances of winning, charmed by his abilities and talents. Because that is was it is, talent. Chris has an amazing voice, but more importantly, the spirit to back it up, and the support of those who love him to propel him onward. He is a model to all those who look for a way to success- and not just in the music business, but in whatever one may care about. We were all flabbergasted when he was voted off, even my step-grandmother, who had been pulling for Taylor.
We (my mother, my step-grandmother, my step-aunt Dina, and I) went to see the American Idol tour at the Gaylord in Nashville. Everyone was awesome. Kelly Pickler really took the time to talk to the crowd, going from comedian to singer in a few seconds, but Chris really stole the show that night. It was great! I finally had bragging rights to all my friends (always a nice thing to own) and it was something I will remember forever. But now- an all Chris concert? Oh, it's on. I would love to see him in concert now, with the band and all.
On the way home today, it was girl's request night on the Buzz (radio station), and Chris was requested... over... and over... and over again. Same song, so I just grinned, stuck my Cd in, and played the whole album. Becaue I've got to be honest, that album runs smoothly from one song to the next; very well put together, not even accounting for the fact that it's a debut. Kudos, indeed.
