I am a fan (and you should be too), because...Daughtry is the most exciting thing to ever happen to the music industry. Chris is an amazing singer and songwriter backed by some of the best guys in the business. The new CD is the best one I have ever owned. I am a 48 year old mom and grandmother and I admit I haven't listened to much rock music since I was in college, but Daughtry has brought me back. I've never owned a CD in which I liked every song, but this one is an exception. Not only are the guys talented, but they are humble and down to earth. Chris, your performance of the national anthem was the best I have ever seen. It was so touching. You did your country proud. I think you truly know how much God is blessing you. On a more personal note, Chris, you have been and still are such an inspiration to me. I hope you will remember me. I wrote to you about losing my son, Chris, at the young age of nearly 25 in a motorcycle accident in June 2005. Chris was an Army Reservist who had returned only months before from a year in Iraq. The weeks and months after his death were so trying for us. When we first saw you on American Idol, you reminded us so much of our Chris. I have followed you ever since and are so proud of what you have accomplished. I think God brings people into our lives to help us in times of need, and you are definitely that person to me. When I wrote the letter to you, I only wanted to share my story with you and never expected a response. The day I got your card in the mail, I just sat down and cried. You will never know what that meant to me for you to take time out of your busy schedule to let me know you cared. I will treasure the card always. I keep it in my Bible with some of Chris's stuff. best on the concert tour. It's going to be a whirlwind!! My daughter Jessi and I hope to see you in Little Rock. Jessi is also an avid fan. She is a full-time working single mom raising two boys age 3 years and 1 year. She and her brother were really close, so these past months have equally been hard on her. We would love to be able to meet you. It would be a dream come true!! Even if we don't, we wish you and the band years of success. Thank you for everything!!

I wasn't sure whether we were supposed to rewrite this section for another contest, so I just decided to update. I am now more of a Daughtry fan than ever. I have nearly worn out the CD, but I have another one waiting to be used!! It is the best CD I have ever owned. Jessi and I got to see Daughtry at Juanita's in Little Rock. It was awesome! We arrived four hours early to be the first in line!! We got to stand right in front of Chris on the barricade. It was the most fun I have had since My son Chris passed away two years ago. Thank you Daughtry for bringing some sunshine into my life. I am like most other fans, I try to watch any television appearances Daughtry does and I vote every week on VSpot. I watch every Saturday morning and am so excited every time I see and hear "Home". It makes me mad when they cut your video short!! We missed out on the last VIP but maybe this time at Robinison Hall in Little Rock!! It would mean so much for Jessi and I to be able to meet Chris and the guys. I would love to make some of my Chris's favorite chocolate chip cookies and bring to the guys. I know they would probably appreciate some good homemade goodies!!
