Daughtry is a breath of fresh air. Their sound touches your soul and lifts your spirits. The lyrics are ripped straight from every day life and written with heart.

"Over You" has become my life anthem since January of this year. I asked my husband to leave our home and I became a single mom. That song could have been written straight from my life. (Hey Chris, how'd you get in my head?!)

Next "Home" became the anthem. While I know that he was writing about being away from his family and wanting to go back home, I viewed it for my life as returning home. I had just became a single mom and was so wanting to be near my family again. I was getting tired of the places and the faces and I just wanted to be back home.

These songs are real and they can touch your soul when they are needed the most. Keep em coming guys, I'll need more life anthems. How about one where the single mom meets a fantastic guy?!
