I am a fan (and you should be too), because... Chris Daughtry brings a new voice to the radio airwaves. He is moving on to what the future holds for him.

Of course most of us know him from AI, but now we can separate AI and Daughtry. That's where he started. I love how the people who have won American Idol haven't really been a big hit like Chris. I would say Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood would be the only 2 that have really made something of themselves.

As I patiently waited to hear news about Chris and to see if he was going to have a CD, one night I was in my car listening to the radio. The DJ on 95sx told me the song is from Chris Daughtry! I had a huge smile on my face. I turned my radio up and just listened to his voice. I melted! I got so excited and I couldn't believe it. It actually came true with having a record deal! I was so proud of Chris! I went to Target and bought the CD, the next night! I was trying to hear anything about Daughtry! He came in like a lamb, quietly getting things prepared and to do it right! And roared like a lion with his song "It's Not Over."

This song speaks so many things to the world. First, "It's Not Over" with Chris and his singing career. Second, "It's Not Over" for his fans to give up. Finally, "It's Not Over," period. End of story. He has so much more he has to share with the world and wants to share with the world. Chris Daughtry IS the American Idol for me because he is working hard and has achieved his dream. This is the American Dream! Work hard, play hard!
