I am a fan (and you should be too), because...not only do they have the MOST AWESOME sound in the industry.......They have compassion. I noticed this when I attended the homecoming event in McLeansville. They encouraged people to reach out to children and Chris met with area children and encouraged them to stay in school and strive toward their goals in life. I work with handicapped children and see the potential each child has and encourage them to work toward goals - I guess that's a trait we share. Most artists, when they first start out, focus primarily on their careers and when they "make it" - reach out to charities at that point - not DAUGHTRY - while focusing on their career - they have a compassion at THIS point - in the beginning and it is very refreshing to see that at this point in their career. Their songs can be enjoyed by all members of the family - you don't have to worry about your children listening and receiving the wrong life message. I applaud Daughtry for their compassion, value of life and family, and music that everyone can enjoy and still ROCK THE HOUSE !!!!!! I am a co-owner of a group of fans on Yahoo that has promoted Chris from his humble beginnings with AI. We began contacting radio stations - talking with DJ's and station managers and telling them about Chris and sending them "snippets" of Chris singing on AI - just to get his name in their heads so that when a song was released to play on the radio - they would have foreknowledge of him and give him airtime. We coordinated our efforts with the states that the AI Tour was playing at the time and bombarded local radio stations with our requests. Now - we still call radio stations requesting his songs - we also vote for him on various sites : Top Dog City / VH1 / MTV, etc.......I have met many wonderful people because of Chris and I probably would never have met them otherwise and for this reason, as well, I am thankful to Chris for helping me to meet some really wonderful people and I look forward to meeting more of his fans - because Daughtry fans are the BEST !!!!
