I liked Chris Daughtry from the moment he auditioned for American Idol. Normally, I only watch the auditions for American Idol and laugh at the people that think they have talent. But once I saw Chris audition and saw his story I knew I was in for the long haul...lol He was a rocker and that sealed the deal for me!
I am not the fan that knows every detail about a band, I am not the fan that owns every piece of merchandise put out by a band but if I can connect with the lyrics and the general vibe of the band, you will have a fan for life in me. I also am a fan becuase Daughtry can write a song. There's nothing more disappointing to me then hearing a song, loving the lyrics and then finding out the band had nothing to do with writing them. To me, the lyrics are an extension of the band, a glimpse into their heart & soul. You want to say, "Wow, what was he going through when he wrote that?" or "I know exactly where he is coming from because I've been there!" It makes the artist more real to me.
I look forward to more of Daughtry in the future.R O C K O N!
