Sad but excited
OK well I know is's been while since the show at bogarts but I heard it was amazing... unfouruntaly I didnt get to go..I Tried every single time some radio station like q102 or kiss107 had contest but i am probably one of the unluckiest people ever. Although I didnt get to go I have to say that I am a huge Daughtry fan. I got the cd the day it came out and was a faithful american idol watcher until chris got voted off. I got all my fiends hooked on the band and most of them went out and got it just because everytime they were with me I was listening to it. I just want to say that I am a huge fan and was really disappointed I didnt get tickets i literally cried... call me pathetic if you must but hey not many people can say they cried cuz they were so into a band right? Well I just wanted to share. Hopefully you'll come back to cincy in a bigger place like US Bank arena so I can ACTUALLY get tickets.
Live in Cincy
OMG! What an amazing show! I stood in awe for about 10 minutes as I was not emotionally prepared to be as close as I was. We arrived early and were able to get into the third row. The band rocked, and Chris, well what can ya say about Chris??? All of the praise that he has received really does not do justice to seeing him in person. I didn't think my admiration had any room to grow, but after the concert, it has. I have pictures from the concert in Cincinnati on my myspace. If you would like to see them, the address is www.myspace.comlms917
Cincy was Awesome!
I know it is almost two weeks later, but I am still relishing the Daughtry concert experience. I thought the opening bands were good, especially Cinder Road. They had alot of energy. Daughtry was great, especially Chris. He can sing anything. I loved the cover of "Black". My husband is a huge Pearl Jam fan so I called him and held the phone up so he could hear it. He thought it sounded good. I wish I could've been closer to the stage. My pics from the cell phone didn't turn out that great. Anyway, after Chris went off the stage my friend and I did manage to move up to about the 6th row. That was cool. After the show, we decided to go around back and wait for Chris. I met two guys from Eve to Adam. They were really nice. The boys from Cinder Road just walked by the crowd out there. Brian and Joey came out and signed autographs and took pictures with the fans. They were both really nice. It took an hour before Chris came out, but it was well worth the wait. I had him sign my shirt and my ticket stub. I also got a really good picture with him. It is on my screen saver, my cell phone, I even printed it off 8 X 10 and got a frame for it. I never thought I could be more "in love" with Chris, but I am. He was sooooo nice. It was certainly a memorable experience. I hope that Daughtry will come back to Ohio soon. I wish the Daughtry boys the best of luck for a long and successful career. Keep up the good work. Rock on......
Chris.........Well what can we say?
I had the chance to see Chris and the Daughtry boys in Cincinnati at Bogarts. I have been to concerts before @ Bogarts, had the great pleasure of seeing Fuel there and it was awesome. I expected the Daughtry show to be just as awesome!!!!! Chris was great and he sounds just like his cd which makes for a great show. I also, like the 2nd band that played Eve to Adam I even meet the guitar player outside and he was nice enough to sign my cd I bought. I didn't much care for the first band they where a little cheezy but the 2nd band was great and they managed to get the crowd hyped up for the best thing of all.
Chris came out in his blue jeans, tee shirt, and tabagon. It was just him and his band no fancy lights or special tricks. Bogarts is an awesome place to see any show but it was extremely crowded and it was a little hot in there with all the people. We got there pretty early and stood in line for a long time to get into the building. But it was worth every minute of standing outside in the cold and I would deffinately go see the show again.
Daughtry gets 2 thumbs up and I look forward to the next time I am graced with him. Because I am sure all the girls will agree that his wife is sooooooooo lucky to have such a hot husband.
Chris's vocals were great, but...
Bogart's is a nice club and a great place to see a band in an up close and personal way. I've seen several shows there such as Mr. Big, and Steve Vai with Billy Sheehan. Daughtry was another great concert, too.
Chris' vocals were top notch and the band was tight and really jammed!
I must say that the first two bands, even though they didn't suck, were not very entertaining. The music was very basic and, though that's not necessarily a bad thing, the music lacked any catchy musical or melodic vocal hooks. There were absolutely no smoking lead guitars solos either. It was like the songs were written by 16 year olds. The performances lacked anything memorable, other than the fact that they were just not very good.
I'm sure some of the crowd liked them. I just look for more than some 20some year old lead singer taking off his shirt and average guitar players squawking out below average lead solos. Sorry guys, but it's the truth as I see it.
Thank you Chris for saving the evening by putting on a great show with the most amazing lead vocals and a very good band to back up your powerful voice. Maybe you guys could hook up and tour with Ronnie James Dio and Queensryche. That would be an amazing evening of lead vocals!
Super Concert!
Totally awesome concert! Enjoyed the first two bands and when Daughtry came out the place exploded! Chris seemed to really connect with the audience and we definitely connected with him! Can't wait to see them again, once is not enough!
My own review of DAUGHTRY's concert in Cincy! -- LONG! :-)
My God last night was phenomenal! In fact, other than the day I closed on my first house a few weeks ago, I'd say this was the best night I've ever had!!!
We got there right around 4 o'clock-ish. Judging by the line before the doors opened, I'd say we were at least in the first quarter of the line. (We just happened to be standing in front of The Cupboard, which made things fun and interesting
We met all kinds of people in line. It’s pretty amazing how strangers can meet in line and only have one thing in common. But we were all friends by the time the doors opened. I was pretty chatty though. I kept recognizing people's faces from this site. The guys from Cinder Road came out and were passing out stickers to the people in line. That was pretty cool of them to come out and mingle with us beforehand.
The doors finally opened at around 7:05 or so. My hand was stamped with the word “sausage†for being over 21. (I just had to add that since I found it funny). After going to the restroom, grabbing some beer and food we got to the stage area to find ourselves about six “rows†back from the stage.
Cinder Road took the stage first. They had good stage presence and the lead singers eyes looked like they could stare through you. Eye makeup does that I guess. He almost had the Constantine from AI look about him. Something else I have to mention: the lead singer had pants on that were extremely low. When I say low, I mean his goods were close to being exposed low. They were skinny guys with great big voices. I actually really liked their music. I found myself feeling it more than I thought I would.
Next up to the stage was Eve To Adam. One word: BE-AU-TI-FUL. Before they even opened their mouths and were just setting up I turned to my friend and said that to her. Talk about tall, dark and handsome. The only one that didn’t have dark hair was great looking too. In fact I kept saying he looked like a rockin’ younger version of Kevin Bacon. Haha These guys were the ones your moms warned you about. Oh to be a young and naïve again.
Anyway… the music! May I just say that I loved it? I thought they were a perfect compliment to DAUGHTRY. My three favorite songs they sang were “If U Râ€, “Gift†and “Comin’ Homeâ€. I have a good feeling that in a while Eve to Adam will score big time and be all over the radio. Oh, and one more thing in regards to how hot this band is. When the lead singer took his shirt off and showed off his awesome abs, I began cracking up and whispered in my friend’s ear that his chest needed the sweat licked off and I was just the girl to do it. Hahaha (Mind you I’m all talk by the way!) (Note also that the pictures does NOT do him justice).
Right after Eve To Adam the audience started getting more jam-packed. Most of the people in the audience were awesome though. Everyone was there to have fun and listen to the music. There was a taller guy in front of us that took my friend's camera and got better pictures for her since she is short. He was soo nice. There were only a few people that were bad. There were a couple girls literally fighting their way to the front of the stage. When people started stopping them four security guards actually had to break things up! Drama! One of the chicks behind me said, "I'm over 30 and have kids, I'm too old for this sh*t". hahaha
When DAUGHTRY’s band members finally took the stage the crowd went bats***. Then when Chris eventually walked out it got even worse. I was one of those people. I started jumping up and down so high you’d think I would have had a trampoline beneath me.
My vocal chords became so strained that I thought for sure I wouldn’t be able to speak today. I screamed louder last night than I do at Bengals games. (And that’s saying a lot!) And he teased us. He just stood there looking all hot in his black beanie cap with his head bowed to his mike—torturing us. I don’t remember the actual order of the songs he played unfortunately. It all went by so quickly. I was having such an excellent time and like the snap of a finger it was over. I know he played: “Crashedâ€, “What I Wantâ€, “Used Toâ€, “Its Not Overâ€, “Breakdownâ€, “Goneâ€, “Over You†and the Pearl Jam hit “Blackâ€. That Pearl Jam song took me totally be surprise and was a hit with the audience for sure. I was able to catch loads of pictures and some video of the concert on my camera. And I recorded a couple songs on my cell phone. Hmmn… which one should be my new ring tone?
I am still in disbelief on how close we were to the stage. We could see absolutely everything. At one point one of the guitar pics that Chris threw out landed right in front of me. I thought there was going to be a catfight. Here I am 30 years old and I’m down on the ground with my camera trying to light the way to finding that pic along with about five other people. Finally one of them yells all sly “It’s now in my pocketâ€. I patted her on the back and congratulated her. Of course that was after I had to be picked up off the floor by one of the big guys. I guess all the standing had locked my legs up. Man, I’m old.
DAUGHTRY ended the show with them coming back for an encore in his fresh clean white “ONE†tshirt singing “There And Back Againâ€. What a way to end the night! Freaking fantastic!!!
After the show ended and the lights went dim on stage I told my friends adamantly that we were under no circumstances leaving. And boy did that sentiment pay off! We just walked as slowly as possible towards the back. Security was giving us a hard time about being pokey but we just kind of ignored them. There were so many fans exchanging email addresses. Since I got such great pictures I promised about three different people I met that I’d email them with them.
Eventually we made our way up to the main area. I wanted to purchase the cds of both Cinder Road and Eve to Adam. Before the concert began I already purchased my $40 DAUGHTRY hoodie. I wish I had bought them then. But it turned out okay. Cinder Road came out and greeted people and offered to sign cds and take pictures with the band. They were total cheesers when that camera pointed their direction. I think they loved the attention the ladies were giving them. Each member signed my cd which tickled me to death. My photo turned out pretty good too. Then JP came out and started mingling around with everyone. I got my picture taken with him too (the guy w/ the mohawk). Later Joey made his way out. He had a cute little red pair of furry handcuffs on and he slipped his hands over my head to pose in the picture with me. OMG. I seriously was so close to him I could smell the sweat. Love, love, love me some Joey.
Then when Joey mentioned to us that they were going across the street to the bar I was in seventh heaven!!! I mean seriously… they didn’t even hide the fact where they were going. He just nonchalantly told the fans that were still standing there to come hang out with them. Again, did I mention that I love, love, love me some Joey?!?!
When we walked outside to the front of Bogarts I was taken aback. #1 by how great the cold air felt after being so hot. #2 because the boys from Eve To Adam were standing outside. And again, they were so approachable! The lead singer Tiki and the drummer Alex were cutting on each other. When I questioned Tiki on it, he said, “We’re brothersâ€. It definitely makes sense because those two are so freaking gorgeous and resembled one another. Don’t get me wrong though Gaurav and Riv were both hot too. In fact, when I had them sign my cd and pose for pictures with me, I mentioned to Tiki that everyone within ten feet of me while they were singing were commenting on how hot they were. His response: “Well, I hope you ladies enjoyed the music too at leastâ€. Too funny! I really enjoyed meeting them. In fact out of Cinder Road and Eve to Adam, I think the band members of Eve To Adam were even friendlier with the fans. (In the picture you'll see lead singer Tiki and guitarist Gaurav with us).
So after hob-knobbing with Eve To Adam, we went back to my car, which was parked on the same street as Bogarts. Lucky me! We put our newly acquired sweatshirts and cds away. While were checking ourselves out in the mirror we saw JP walking with the guys from Cinder Road walk around the corner towards the bar that Joey was telling us about. I think we were out of the car shortly after that and went into that bar. There weren’t many people in there to my surprise. It was the members of Eve to Adam, Cinder Road and then JP and Joey. Cinder Road’s good friend from Cincinnati that they did the shout out during their performance to was also there. (He is also extremely nice. His name is Billy Carri.) But the rest of the bar just had a sprinkling of people inside that were actually fans from the concert. At first the guys kept to themselves in their own corner but then started mingling around with people. They even sang happy birthday to a girl at the bar. (I secretly wished it was my birthday last night).
I drank my long island and we gabbed about the concert and we left. We hit White Castle on the way home (mistake) and headed home. I think I got home around 2am if I’m not mistaken. I was so tired. My legs and feet hurt so bad. I really wished I would have had someone waiting on me to rub them. Not so much.
Let me tell you though… I went to bed with my feet propped up in my freshly cleaned sheets with a huge ol’ smile on my face. That concert was great. And it was probably one of the highlights of my life.

"Super Fan Stacy"-- aka DAUGHTRY's biggest fan in Cincinnati!!!
Wow...what a show!
The show in Cincinnati was amazing! Both opening acts were great...and Daughtry was unbelievable! It was so much fun. I have not been that excited about a concert since I was a teenager! They were Great!
I saw Daughtry @ Bogarts
He was amazing!!! They were amazing...it was the best concert I've ever been to! I can't wait to see them play again!! Come back to Cinci!! <3 Lauren
Show was FANTASTIC THE crowd was ok
Here is my funny story
Taxi got us to Bogarts---saw a very long line! So long that by the time you got in -you missed the first act (good thing I went the night before to Birdy's)
Long line so first my friends had to get cigarettes....
Cops posted at Krogers and Walgreens showed the area was bad news
Finally get in to be body searched and all new packs of cigarettes taken away....then get in to another long line to the bar....rule can only get one drink at a time. Forget if you have to pee---another long line (good news found some nasty bathrooms not really being used downstairs!)
I was spoiled by Birdy's with the great view and Super nice Rockin Crowd ----Bogarts was hard to see so I found a girl up front and told her I would pay her 50.00 if she said I was with her....never made it because some guy and girl blocked my way and they were getting aggressive.....
Then afterwards Bogarts shoved ya out the door when I knew Joey and Josh would be right out ...I had a photo for them to sign that I had taken the night before and they said they would sign it....I had to fight with the bouncers ----so finally my husband starting flirting with Irene from Adams to Eve band and she got the bouncer off of my case and got the boys to me quicker,.......
Went to a bar afterwards.....to then find out that we could not get a ride to our hotel until after 4:00 a.m.!!! We had 1 hour 1/2 to 2 hour wait. Cop told us that we had to stay off the streets no place for us! Caught a ride with a HOT HOT guy who is a model and actor (which the cop said we were save with him) We now have a great new friend....had a great experience and saw a great band!
Awesome show!
My wife and I did the exact same thing as another reviewer... waited in a crazy long line to get in, braved the massive, sardine-packed, sweaty(and well-versed!) crowd, screamed like banshees and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! It was a heck of a show; we especially enjoyed when they slowed it down a bit to cover Pearl Jam's "Black"! We had to jump through hoops to see this show(dealing with online scalpers, driving two hours, getting a hotel room, etc.) and don't regret it a bit. We're gonna try and go to Louisville and deal with street scalpers to see that show, too! God knows there were enough guys around in Cincy with "I need tickets" signs(an obvious scalper giveaway), so we're hoping that there will be in Louisville too... otherwise, well, it's okay, we saw them once already, right? Sweet! Looking forward to another show soon, we hope!
AMAZING!!
