I am a fan (and you should be too), because...

I fell in love with Chris's voice and lyrics years ago *cough* Cadence *cough* I'm old. He was young, but the passion and the talent was there. Daughtry is just the natural progression of this man and his music. Through it all, Chris has remained true to who he is. (NOT easy to do on Idol, but we watched it every week.)

So much that's on radio these days sounds alike.... so many songs with nothing new to say. Daughtry comes through from the first track through the end of the CD. I like all the songs, but I love There And Back Again, and All These Lives. There And Back Again is an incredible song lyrically, and it just rocks. I had to send the CD to a friend who's been with me through hell and back for the past 2 years, with that song dedicated to him. It just speaks to me. All These Lives..... WOW. Amazing to see someone stand up and put a song about child abduction out there. So many artists neglect the fact that they have the power to touch people, and bring light to issues we should be focusing on.

Having been an AE fan, Breakdown tears me up a little everytime I listen to it. What a huge nod to the "older" fans and Chris's former band. THANK YOU for this one. I'll even admit to messing up the lyrics a time or two cause I loved the old Conviction chorus..... but love this one too now.

I'll admit to being apprehensive about the rest of the band members at first. That's been laid to rest. I never should have doubted Chris's ability to surround himself with good people. I hope I get to hug each bandmember some day and thank them for the times I've had and the people I've gotten close to through our love of Chris and now Daughtry. *OK, so now that I HAVE hugged them all* (Don't know that Thank You can cover it well enough. There just aren't enough words in the English Language that haven't been spit out too frequently to hold the correct meaning anymore) Anywhoooo getting close to some of the other fans through the whole experience and considering some family.... It's truly a blessing.

About the (and you should be too)? Ummmm there's people out there that aren't Daughtry fans? ARE YA SERIOUS? Where are these people? If you're not a Daughtry fan, please contact me and tell me why not. I'll be very patient and talk you through your insanity as gently as I can. (Although if that doesn't work, I'll break out the riding crop)
