I am a fan (and you should be too), because...
I don't remember a time in my life when I was overly moved to track the success of a person beyond those in my family; myself, my husband or my children (my own and the students/families I work with).......and this has been so much fun.....like finding a 'Cause', a reason to cheer on the good guy! Chris IS the GOOD GUY, and so well deserved, we could all benefit to live vicariously through him and his humility, spirituality and good intentions.....he is such a beautiful role model, inside and out. Because of this Daughtry "movement" I'm feeling a resurgence of the love of music I developed as a child (which leads to memories of honking out 'Purple Haze' on the Oboe in college..gosh, those were the days!). Chris's voice, music and lyrics make a person WANT to take time to listen, not only to Daughtry but much more.... and for that, It helps ME to be a better wife, and a better mom. Family-nights in the Long house are inspired to consist of our Drewman on air-guitar, Maddie-bug ticklin' her Barbie ivories, daddy on cowbell?, and momma on echo microphone throwin' down to her fave Daughtry song.......There and Back Again......
must be the naughtry way this one makes me feel?! My peeps are my backup singers, and driving anywhere solicits crazy looks from fellow drivers as we bob our heads erratically to our fave CD. When a 3 year old asks to jam out with only ONE BAND, you know you've made it (and what an important fan base, our future rock stars!)
We thank you Chris (and family) for sharing your talented voice, and for putting spirituality in your music that moves a person to better understand themselves and their own place in this life
Thanks boys of Daughtry! Stay true to yourselves. love ya'llllll *******XOXOXOXOXO***********
