I am a fan (and you should be too), because...Daughtry's music is contagious! From the time I saw him audition on American Idol, I was hooked. It was great to see how supportive his wife was of his choice, and I truly hope she remains that way. It showed that Chris is a great husband and father...I mean, come on...his proudest moment is teaching his son how to ride his bike!! I felt an instant connection, and that is not something that I normally have with celebrities. My family life is smilar to Chris'...I was married at 21 to the love of my life, and already had a son from a previous relationship. My husband loved my son as much as any good father would love their own. After getting married in March of '02, we had a daughter in July to complete our happy family. I count my blessings everyday, knowing I have a wonderful man as my husband. I must admit that I cried when Chris was voted off American Idol....He was so much better than Katherine McPhee that week, but on the flipside, out of all the Idol seasons, I have never seen the winner of the shows come up as fast as Daughtry has with such a huge fan base!! After getting the CD, I rock out to it everyday in the car, and I absolutely love the lyrics to every single song! They're so real, it's easy to relate to all of them. I was talking to a friend on the phone when my husband told me Chris was singing the National Anthem at the Bears game...I ran to the living room and did not hear a word my friend said until he was done singing! I had completely tuned her out!! After not being able to get tickets to Chicago's show, like so many other fans, I did what I had to do to see Daughtry...I logged on to e-bay, paid $65 a ticket, and went to Columbus, OH instead of Chicago. The extra money and distance were well worth it! Although I've aleready seen you, I would LOVE to see you again...and again!! You are all so humble and modest, and it is obvious that you are truly appreciative of your fans' support. Stay real, Daughtry, you guys are the best!!
