I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...Daughtry is simply amazing - they are not your average rock band. When I first heard their single "Home" on the radio I was like...who was that?!...I had never before heard such a captivating voice - I was awestruck....a smouldering desire to know more about the artiste behind the song filled my heart.

What I heard on radio over the next few weeks totally blew me away...the band is called Daughtry and their debut album is the best-selling album of 2007... and it has been breaking a whole lot of records on it's way to number 1...& a whole lot of praises for the band's achievements well within a year of it's being formed.
I was really impressed & if I did not love them before, at this point I was in love . Months passed without ever hearing any other song. ( I had listened to "Home" on a Gospel music station & was clueless as to the band's success in the mainstream.

It was one of my sisters who inspired me to join Daughtry Official...yeah! One day in May, I was with my sister in her car, whose radio is permanently tuned to a rock station lol, and a certain song came on and she was like "Oh, I love that song! - it's by Daughtry...he was on American Idol a while back...and he is just the greatest..." She told me how she loves Daughtry coz his music & lyrics are just so powerful, inspiring, heart-warming & awesome...and how she was rooting for him during his time on AI...she went on and on but I managed to tell her that I too knew Daughtry coz I had listened to their single "Home" & that their album has been breaking records - left, right & centre...so on & on we went, sharing about Daughtry and everything...
Can't remember what that song was but there & then, the Daughtry seed that was in me started growing. Before then, the only single I had heard had been "Home" but I now went online to check them out & their other songs and I ended up here! One amazing story! Months later, I have listened to their entire album (and looove it by the way), I own a copy of the amazing Daughtry Deluxe & I'm eagerly awaiting their sophomore album which I know will ROCK!! since Chris will be involved in writing/co-writing most if not all of the songs - we all know what an awesome songwriter he is.

Here on DO, I have discovered a whole new world in here & have met a lot of wonderful people who are amazing Daughtry fans. This band is unlike any other rock band I have listened to & this site is again totally unlike any fans site I have encountered in my life. It is filled with warm, loving people & this surely must generate from the band itself - warm, loving , guys. I love Daughtry. So to Josh Paul, Joey Barnes, Josh Steely, Brian Craddock & Chris Daughtry, well done!!

Their music is inspiring, it sounds amazing and is delivered so passionately. Oh, and Chris is a rock-guru awesome! I'm head over heels with Daughtry!! Good music = Daughtry.
