That was such a heartfelt message and I am so proud to be a fan of a band who is wonderfully talented but also realizes that none of us is truly great if we don't try to uplift others in need. I am so proud of you guys. I remember crying the day Chris was voted off AI but I also smiled inside knowing he had a different calling. The same I feel for each member of Daughtry. Keep on rockin!!! You guys are just awesome and I am sure not only are your fans proud but your families are as well.
sharing that heartfelt message with us and also for your caring visit to Uganda.
I can tell how deeply touched you were.
I was too, when I watched the "Idol Gives Back" show.
I was especially sadened and moved by seeing how many young children are living without parents and are literally RAISING other young siblings!
It made me want to adopt them ALL!!!
We are so blessed to live in America!
I feel it's our duty to "give back" for sure - to those who are less fortunate.
Anyway, thanks for being such a good role model.
God bless!

It's only Rock 'n Roll until you see and hear Daughtry!
Thank you Josh for bringing this blog to us.. for sharing what you have experienced and reminding us all just how lucky we are to live in the United States of America! One thing I can say is that Daughtry fans from all across will do all we can ... because we are true to you all .. and we believe in the cause just as well. The video you all did was so touching.. it was amazing to see you interact with the children.. the smiles that you brought to their faces where on a normal day to them... there would be no smiles. You definitely made a difference .. you touched many hearts over there (and here too) and for that.. we all stand behind you guys... and "ONE"!!!
Thanks, Josh, for sharing what you found in Uganda. The video y'all made for American Idol was the best! Loved how you and the guys played for and WITH the kids. Bringing some fun and laughter into their lives was soooooo good. You know the old saying, laughter is the best medicine. Who knows, you may have given some of them the cure they needed. A big thanks to you all for caring and doing all that you do for others. God bless.
Thank you for letting me know what an impact going to Uganda had on you, and your take on the situation. I have signed up on ONE to help in whatever way I can. Thank you so much for being you and expressing your sentiment. You ROCK!!!!!
~~in these ever changing days your the one thing that remains~~
Thanks so much for your blog. We don't hear from you too much so we are thrilled to have you come on the site to talk to us.
I just have always known that Daughtry would be about more than playing some good music and somehow you would make an effort to change the world for the better.
You guys don't have any idea how happy you make people just getting up on stage and doing your thing.
It would be my honor to make a donation in the name of Daughtry.
Love and Best Wishes,

Josh, what a touching & emotional blog. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts & feelings about your time in Uganda. I can only imagine what it's like---seeing the clips of you guys over there really helps us back home see what people are going through. Yes, their spirit is amazing, and I'm so proud of you and Daughtry for going there, giving of your time and your love. Thank you for having such a big heart---it was great to see you, Chris & Joey there, reaching out in person.
Proud to be a Daughtry fan---even more than ever now!
For showing your appreciation to your fans for donating to this great cause. You guys bring out the good in us!! And most of us (like myself) wouldn't even know about this cause if it weren't for Daughtry!
Josh,
What an awseome messsage. We started donating to fight world hunger a few years ago when my husband and I decided to provide more than for our family. Your words should and will motivate others and WE are proud of how YOU represented America and showing that we do care for all children!
Thank you for a wonderful blog and keep rockin out on tour! See you in Oklahoma (2x!!!!)!!!

Thank you Josh for expressing your personal experience. I don't think anyone truly understands someone else's suffering until they have shared the experience. I could tell that you were sincerely affected by your experience. It's good to share so that people can investigate and explore avenues where they can make a difference.

Thanks for the update. Such a sweet, inspiring message. I did watch Idol Gives Back and sat there saying, " I really wish I could afford to donate some money to help out these people." A few weeks passed and with kids and everyday life you just forget, it's terrible, I know. Thanks to your blog I have decided to donate to the One campaign. I don't have much, but every little bit counts right?! It makes me feel really good inside knowing that I have helped. Thanks again to all of you guys!
for sharing with us all your experience over in Uganda! The IGB show brought tears to my eyes and heart! I love the clip that you guys put together for the show and then to have you post this clip is awesome! I can't imagine how that trip impacted each and everyone of you........thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! Thanks for going the extra mile (or extra thousands of miles) to show us what is going on over there. The love you spread while you were there and the smiles that you brought to those children will forever be priceless to them and I am sure...for you to!
Thanks again for sharing!
I have wondered wha impact the trip had on each of you personally and it was very clear in your eyes and voice that it was life changing. Your IGB performance was something I won't forget, because for a few moments the kids with you were smiling and having FUN..something that must be very rare in their lives. You guys give US that, and you gave it to them too...I am so proud to say that I am a fan of you and this group...for reasons more important than the music.
With love and respect,
poverty and disease will continue to strike millions around the world as it has done since the beginning of time... hopefully over the decades we have made some impact on ending this suffering thru the many aid organizations. Keeping the cause front and center is key, as we all so easliy fall back into the comfort of our own lives. I can imagine seeing it first hand would leave you even more heartbroken. Hopefully organizations such as ONE won't let us forget about the millions who need our help, and how easy it is for us to make a difference - and not just once a year - .... What About Now? .....what about always?.....imagine if everyone could find an extra $5 to $25 a month to give.
Josh your video blog shows just how much of an impact your trip to Uganda has had on you.It is very clear in your voice and the expression on your face how deperate their circumstances are there. Hopefully with all the fans that are joining ONE that some relief and hope will soon come their way. Thanks again to you all for being a bunch of great, thoughtful guys. God Bless. ROCK ON DAUGHTRY FANS!!!-deannarockmama4
for bringing so much attention to this very important cause. It's great to see such a young band have such a tremendous impact , and see that the power of celebrity can be used for good instead of nasty headlines! These are the stories that need to be heard. Josh, you can see your beautiful soul come through, and see how the people of Uganda have had an impact on you. Peace and God Bless!
Thanks Josh you really are a great guy, it was so humble of you guys to share your time with people that needed it. You all really are incredible guys, much love!!!!!
