That was such a heartfelt message and I am so proud to be a fan of a band who is wonderfully talented but also realizes that none of us is truly great if we don't try to uplift others in need. I am so proud of you guys. I remember crying the day Chris was voted off AI but I also smiled inside knowing he had a different calling. The same I feel for each member of Daughtry. Keep on rockin!!! You guys are just awesome and I am sure not only are your fans proud but your families are as well.

I was too, when I watched the "Idol Gives Back" show.
I was especially sadened and moved by seeing how many young children are living without parents and are literally RAISING other young siblings!
It made me want to adopt them ALL!!!
We are so blessed to live in America!
I feel it's our duty to "give back" for sure - to those who are less fortunate.

Thanks for the update. Such a sweet, inspiring message. I did watch Idol Gives Back and sat there saying, " I really wish I could afford to donate some money to help out these people." A few weeks passed and with kids and everyday life you just forget, it's terrible, I know. Thanks to your blog I have decided to donate to the One campaign. poverty and disease will continue to strike millions around the world as it has done since the beginning of time... hopefully over the decades we have made some impact on ending this suffering thru the many aid organizations. Keeping the cause front and center is key, as we all so easliy fall back into the comfort of our own lives. I can imagine seeing it first hand would leave you even more heartbroken. Hopefully organizations such as ONE won't let us forget about the millions who need our help, and how easy it is for us to make a difference - and not just once a year - .... What About Now? .....what about always?.....imagine if everyone could find an extra $5 to $25 a month to give.

Josh your video blog shows just how much of an impact your trip to Uganda has had on you.It is very clear in your voice and the expression on your face how deperate their circumstances are there.
