Just have to say I was really disappointed with how this was actually handled when all was said and done. Here are the directions I read:
"go to any Daughtry merchandise booth during the show (anytime from when the doors open to when Bon Jovi completes their set!) to learn how you may be able to get that pair!"
Well, I went to several merch booths during the show (missing the actual concert for which tickets were not inexpensive) and nobody I talked to had any idea about a Daughtry VIP contest. Finally, after several attempts both upstairs and downstairs, one gentleman advised me that there was a ONE booth upstairs making a VIP list for the contest. I didn't want to miss Daughtry singing BOG w/ Bon Jovi (especially since he didn't sing it at the other show I attended in Anaheim), so I went back in thinking I could head out before BJ's set was over- as per the instructions- to sign up for VIP. Well, by the time I made it to the ONE booth, it was completely deserted.
I am a HUGE Daughtry supporter, and a contributing (donating) member of ONE, so I was really let down that I missed out on this VIP opportunity.
I don't mean to over-react or be dramatic, but when I see something on this website in terms of contest rules and instructions, I'l inclined to believe them. It makes it even more disappointing when what's "supposed" to happen doesn't (kind of reminds me of the PBS Soundstage contest).
The Revolution show was great regardless, and I am grateful to ONE and Daughtry for putting on a show like this for charity, but I just wanted to express my disappointment for trying to follow directions, only to be let down.
Hope everyone else got to sign up in time, and that the winner had a blast!
