First things First

I am barely catching my breath. I have told this story maybe about 10 times and to me its worth saying it one million more times. Boy I will tell you... April 11, 2008 was the best night of my life. Okay I didn't have time to pass out. But let me tell you my story anyway... Cause trust me its a great story I don't know where to start from... The middle or the beginning or the end...
So I will do this in sections.. lol.. I bet everyone is like get to it already
PREPARATION TO MEET THE BAND THAT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME:
Ok Prep started the minute I won.. the countdown was on. I had to find a buyer for my tickets.. on so on and so forth.
YOu all know how excited I was... I was going nuts.. Everything from that Wednesday Morning to Thursday Night is a big blur... lol..
Thursday night I went and got rid of the unibrow.. lol.. Cleaned the car just in case.. and washed.. believe it or not I slept Thursday night WHAT... Yup I slept and boy did I have a cool dream... I had a dream that I won a meet and greet with DAUGHTRY...
I woke up Friday MOrning and then I was more excited and that cheezy ass smile was still stuck on my face... OMG that was my phrase of the day If I did not say OMG hundreds of times I didn't talk at all... I also bought thank you cards for each of the guys in which I wrote everything that I had a feeling I wasn't gonna get a chance to say to their faces... OMG to their faces.. Wow..that sounds sooooo cool.. anyhow..
I left work at about one went home and showered and then I went over to my best friends house to get ready. I was drinking Jack Daniels Downtown Punch so I drank 5 out of the six pack.. they were good.
It took me for ever to get ready... But Finally at 4:00 pm.. I was ready and too excited and well on my way to meet the men of my dreams....
ARRIVED AT THE STADIUM:
Ok it was cool I ran a red arrow.. I was soooo excited... My friend should have drove.. what was I thinking.. Oh yeah I wasn't...
My friend took a video of me on the way to the stadium just to capture my excitement... as soon as I upload it I will share it with you all.. Thats if you want to see it.. lol...
Anyhow we got to the stadium in two pieces.. Me and Her.. does that make sense? anyhow one piece.. whatever..
MEETING THE OTHER TWO VIP WINNERS....
1. I met Shar and her friend Lourdes.. they were really cool... we actually went to the FOX sports Grill where I had two margaritas... and it was pretty funny cause there were two sisters that we met there as well and they were there to watch Bon Jovi. What was cool about that is that they noticed how I was unable to sit still.
Yup the complete strangers.. politely said to me "excuse me are you nervous or something?" I said why and they said "cause you can't sit still" OMG it was sooooo funny cause during the conversations I soooo spaced out and didn't even know or care what anyone was talking about the only thing that was running through my mind was OMG OMG I am gonna meet the guys.. lol
We left the Fox Grill bout 5:30 to go to will call... and they said that they don't have anything for us...
OMG they said try back at 6:00. Mean while I met Yvette and her daughter the other VIP winners from El Paso they were really cool too..
So we actuall where chillen out there getting to know one another... and then GUESS what a local news station was there AZ news Channel 3.... They came up to us and asked if we wanted to be on the news... And I was LIKE oh Hell Yeah.. I was wearing my DAUGHTRY Shirt to represent...
Of course they were doing a piece about bon Jovi but I was on T.v. and it was pretty cool.. my mom saw it.. lol...
GOT THE TICKETS...
ok, I had the biggest problems in trying to get the tickets first they told us to go to some table at gate 5 this happened 3 times and then I had enough I told the lady at the will call window that she needed to look harder cause our tickets are back there somewhere finally at 6:45 we were entering the stadium... I will still super excited at this point I know that I didn't eat anything all day Yvette was like Girl you better eat something you don't want to throw up when you meet the guys. So then I decided that I would buy a hotdog.. which I ate in like a bite.. no ketchup or mustard I couldn't risk it you know meeting the guys with a big stain of ketchup or mustard.. lol.. I am a messy eater... I usually get a spot of something down my shirt when I eat its like my trademark or something.. if you see me with a clean shirt its cause I haven't eaten yet. the damn hot dog killed the buzz
so I bough a JACK and COKE $9.25.. but someone made a mistake they thought they were serving a child cause they put it in a tea cup lol...
After I ate the hot dog and drank my tea cup.. I called JOJO in Austrialia.. just to make sure it worked.. wow what an accent loved it.. I loved it so much that I had her talk to my best friend.. Ok mammas I have a confession starting tomorrow I am gonna find a way to make a 33-way call just for the next concert so I can have you all with me..
DAUGHTRY PERFORMED...
First they came out with You Don't Belong... What an amazing way to start the show.. The coolest thing was that I knew most all the words cause I learned them on Wednesday night Yup I have heard it a bunch of times before but this time I was reading the lyrics as a I was singing withthe youtube video.. lol so I can sing along with Chris.. Yeah a bit too much but I wanted to sing my little heart out..
then they played what I want, Its not over, over you, home then what about now with a bit of johnny cash I walk the line (so amazing), breakdown and lastly they performed There and Back again which was super amazing.. then OMG guess what it was time to go and meet the guys.... So the other to VIP winners when down to section 119 without me... before There and back again was even over... So there went my plan.. I had planned to follow them so I wouldn't get lost but they left me...
Good thing I was a big girl and I found my way.. nevertheless.. my nerves were all bunched up... OMG the time has finally come to meet the guys.... okay ladies I am tired I will write some more tomorrow...
I am just joking lol....
Here... it goes...
Ok we had stars on our Meet and Greet stickers so we were told to stay at the back of the line... because we were VIP and we were gonna take a group photograph with the guys..
before the line started to move the security guard was like if you have anything you want to give to DAUGHTRY you will need to give them to me... I said Oh hell no I did not come all this way and write all I wrote in the cards for them not to get them
so I kept the cards in my purse... and the line was moving sooooo fast...
But finally we were coming up to the table it was like wow.... I first saw Brian then JP then CHRIS then Joey then Josh Steely... I gave the card to Brian and he was like for me how cool.. then I gave JP his and I was apologizing cause my black nail polish had streaked the cards.. he was like thats cool.. GIRLS I was shaking OMG OMG OMG.. then I got to Chris and my heart skipped a beat and I was in SHOCK
Chris Looked at me and I looked directly at him and he said " HEY how are you" and he put his hand out so I can shake it ( I thought to myself I am never gonna wash my hand lol unsanitary I know) my best friend later told me that it looked like he reconized me from the site cause he was LIKE hey like in a surprised way... Anyway I felt sooooo special.. I was like Hey I am good... nice to meet you... I couldn't think of anything else to say... DUH>>>>> anyway he was sooooo cool and down to earth it is unreal..
anyhow my friend was carrying a bon jovi face fan and Chris got it and put it over his face and started singing a Bon Jovi song.. it was sooo funny... then Joey I gave my card to him and he was like looking at the card and putting it in his mouth ... it was quite cute.. then lastly I gave the card to steely and he's like oh for me.. I said yeah hes like whats in here ... a roofy.. I said no just a little something.. hes like cool.. then
it was time for the pictures...
first was Yvette and her daughter with the guys then it was me and my friend.. when it was our turn Chris took the camera out of the guys hand that was gonna take the picture and he started playing like he was gonna take the picture and I was like no... which gave us a few extra seconds to stand there with the guys.. which was cool then we all got to pose... So here is the cool part first pose.. Joey pushed everyone to the left which means I was pushed on to Chris and the whole group was shifted.. and Chris was liken "Damn it Joey what the hell you dowin over there" he said it in the cutest way.. anyhow the picture was a bit blurry so we go a second on Whoooooo hooooo for me... any how.. before I took the picture I went up to Chris and said I don't care I need a hug.. and my goodness what a great hugger he is..
love every second of it.. then I turned and got JOEY and said I need a hug from you too... then I hugged Steely.. BEAUTIFUL HUGS that I wouldn't ever forget..
after the picture I hunted down JP and oh no I am not leaving til I get a hug from you.. and he is a great hugger too.. SQUEEZERs... love it. and every second of it.. then it was over.. I took my signed CD and felt like I floated back to my seat... Joey was sooooo supporting the card I gave him he was like posing with it in every picture which made me feel really special and just wow.. You ladies can see the card in the group photo which will be posted somewhere in this story
I did get the prayer of the footprints in the sand on a keychain that was shaped like a footprint and gave one to each of the guys.. I also wrote alot in each of the cards and in every card I asked them to come and visit the pledge mammas and told them that we are a group devoted fans that pledge our love for them everyday.
It was the greatest experiance of my life and it went by so fast that I didn't have a chance to pass out.. point for me
The guys were sooooo wonderful and I am sooooooo happy and grateful that I was picked to meet them.. I feel truly blessed.
The night didn't end there... but for me if it did I wouldn't have cared.. I was already walking on air..
I went out side the arena and called Michelle back and told her how i felt and i was just soooooo excited I don't remember what I told her and I may have repeated the story to her today...
But hell this is the story of my dream coming true.. I didn't know that it was possible for me to love the guys more than what I loved them before.. but if it is possible I do I love and admire their way of being .. just so amazingly great and I can only hope that they read the cards cause that is where I laid my heart and all my gratitude for them ..
Anyhow.. after that I went back inside I heard a song of bon jovi and then GUESS what CHRIS came out and they did BLAZE of GLORY and wow I was jumping and screaming at the top of my lungs I was like I just met him I just met him.. I was like I love you
After that we were out of there.. I went to a friends house and drank a drink and was on my way home ... to upload the pics
I tell you and this is no lie.. I was sooooooo quite on the way home I was like in shock... not even I knew what I was thinking... Meeting DAUGHTRY was the biggest dream I have ever had and it had came true... and I couldn't ask or wish for anything else....
I felt special and I felt like I belonged... I felt like if they knew how much I loved them... My heart was just so full GOD BLESS DAUGHTRY and the things they do for their fans and I mean that from the bottom of my happy little heart.
I am thankful for all you pledge mammas and wonderful sistas that we standing by me during all my crazy panic attacks and wishing me good luck and everything.. my only hope now is that you all get to meet these wonderful men.
Oh yeah and I hope you all liked my story and I am sooooo excited still and I love and am pledging all my love for DAUGHTRY. They are the greatest...
