Well, I got back a few hours ago from seeing my 1st really really big concert tour show. I got some rest and I've had time to think and reflect on what I thought of the show. 1st off, and the reason I went to this show, lets get to Daughtry. I was surprised that there weren't more obvious Daughtry fans there. The Bon Jovi fans were out in force. The people next to me were obvious Bon Jovi fans, but were willing to give Daughtry a chance. I think that by the end of his set they were impressed and possibly new fans. As far as his set went, I thought he was great. My wife and I could tell that he was struggling a bit adjusting to the sound. It seemed that he kept motioning to people off to the side to make adjustments. By about the 4th song he seemed to have all the bugs worked out. He opened with his new song and not the normal Crashed which was absent from his set list. The new song was good what I could hear of it. I'd like the chance to hear it again. It had a good sound musically and a good chorus. One disappointment: I wish they had the screens going so we could see more. I was up in the 300 level. Not bad, but the screens would've added a nice touch. As the crowd started filling in (obviously not there to see Daughtry), Chris started heating up as he ripped through his set. He got some nice participation from the Bon Jovi crowd on Over You and really started heading home with Feels Like Tonight. When I 1st bought and listened to the CD this was one of, if not my least favorite track. It has really grown on me though with each listen and when I saw him perform it last night, it became one of my favorites. The band performed it great and really got the crowd going. Speaking of Home, Daughtry had a little bit of a twist leading into the song Home. He started off with a little Motley Crue Home Sweet Home and then broke into Home. It was a nice touch and very cool and had great participation from the crowd. He ended with his usual There and Back Again with a little Hey Man Nice Shot mixed in. I love this song and performance and it really is a great song to end his set on. Great set, Great Daughtry as usual and he did his job and got the crowd going and ready for the reason most everybody else was there, Bon Jovi. I will give it up to Bon Jovi. He put on a really good show and his fans were insane. They were really into every song of the show. As I predicted, alot of his newer songs had me bored and wanting the hits and favorites. I judged these parts of the show on the crowd who he never lost no matter what he did. When he did his hits though, man was he awesome. The guy is a great perfomer and really had alot of energy and knew how to work the crowd. I hope I'm in that good of shape when I get to be his age because for almost 3 hours he was non stop movement. About midway through his set and for MY highlight of the night, He tore into Blaze of Glory. After the 1st verse of the song Daughtry came back out which was a surprise. Him and Bon Jovi traded verses of the song and it was just an awesome and great performance and good to see Daughtry back out. Just a great performance and the crowd was very appreciative of what they witnessed. For me personally and as I already touched on, the Jovi set had alot of ups and downs and could've been about an hour shorter in my opinion. Again, the crowd was great throughout and mostly what I judged my "down" parts of the show on. He seemingly closed out the show with Living on a Prayer which was AWESOME!!! I forgot to mention Bad Medicine. Also awesome. Anyway the encore was One on One (not sure if thats correct title) followed by Wanted Dead or Alive. Great way to close the show or so I thought, but I'll get to that in a minute. There was a chance to really close the show with a bang and JBJ blew it. He SHOULD have brought Daughtry BACK out to pump some youth into this classic and really blow up the crowd. Needless to say he didn't and it was a disappointment, but it was still good. And then utter stupidity followed, just a HUGE mistake. How you go from closing a show on a great song to doing yet another encore with Jukebox Oldies? So he closes out the show with Wanted, says good night and the whole band takes a bow. Crowd still going nuts for what seemed like forever and they decide to play another encore of a couple of songs. The songs? Shake it up baby now and a song that I didn't stay long enough to hear. Yes at that point my wife and I, who were there to see Daughtry and troopers throughout, appreciative of the overall GREAT Show that Bon Jovi put on, decided that we had had enough and left. You don't end an Encore on a great song like Wanted and then do another on oldies. Worst part of the night and really my only complaint aside from the ridiculous concession and souvenir prices. I just couldn't believe that they did that. It was an overall GREAT night and a GREAT show. Like I said it was my 1st big tour concert. I'd seen Daughtry at a couple smaller venues where he headlined. He really has come a long way as a performer and just gets better and better. You can see that he is just going to keep getting bigger and better. He is a bona fide Superstar and will be HUGE!!!! Not to be overlooked is his GREAT band. Well there you have it. You have heard my take on the LOST HIGHWAY TOUR. In closing I just want to say one more thing. Richie Sambora was great on guitar and impressed me with his skills. He Rocked!!

EXCELLENT & INSIGHTFUL REVIEW!
I had the pleasure of seeing DAUGHTRY with Nickelback & Staind. We were in the PIT, about 2 rows from the stage! I was very disappointed in the fact that DAUGHTRY only performed about 5 songs, and one of them was a (Chris & Joey only) cover of Soundgarden's "Fell On Black Days", which I had never heard before. It was good, only because it was DAUGHTRY but, not a song I'd want to hear again. I splurged and paid around $300 for the tickets, travelled an hour and a half to get there, paid $100 for "VIP" Parking and "Club Access" and we weren't even allowed to take pictures! The so-called "VIP Experience" turned out to be a big tent with fans blowing and no empty tables! All in all, it was an awesome experience but, I very much preferred seeing them at a smaller venue, when DAUGHTRY was headlining!
I have some killer DAUGHTRY videos on my MySpace page. Feel free to check them out!
