I am a fan (and you should be too), because...
...there's HEART here. For most reading this who, like myself, were sucked in the minute Chris performed for his Golden Ticket to Hollywood on Idol, there's a resonance to what Chris (and now the band) does that makes me feel like a part of it all, and like they're coming from the same place I'm in. The strong vocals grip me and don't let go. The lyrics eerily parallel my life, and are expressed with such raw feeling that it's as if I'd written them myself... and the arrangements are unique; not just the same formulaic 4/4s and bridges you hear on every rock album; it is punctuated by its own sound. And it's one I can't wait to hear a lot more of!
I enjoy all the quality time I get on my computer, and in my car, sitting at redlights w/ big sunglasses on, hoping it's the CD and not ME people are hearing while I belt out song after song...
I also have to mention that Chris' faith, and his love for Deanna and his family, make him all the more deserving of the acclaim his talent will surely bring him.
I excitedly await each new success for you, Chris, and celebrate them like they are my own.
