for tickets to the Altanta AI show, it's sold out! Last year there were many open seats in the arena. Good thing I got my tickets when they were on presale. I wonder if the shows are sold out in other areas of the country.

I agree about what you said about Simon, the expressions on his face are priceless, he cannot hold back.... I also agree there is no summer shows I am really into however I believe Entourage should be returning soon.. I love those guys... Lots of good movies out so that helps to.

Well I've still got a couple of weeks to go - yet to watch the top 3 here in NZ! But know who I'll miss seeing and it won't be any of the singers!
It'll be Simon I'll miss the most!
And look forward to the next year when he'll be back again.

No-one stood out for me this year. No favourites.
No-one that stood out like Chris did when he was on.

But in spite of that - still watched and enjoyed every week as I always do this show!

The real winners from this will be seen in the years to come!
Those who are hard-working and talented enough and have that something special to make a success of themselves now the show's over!

that DC was one of 100 in his audition city to have a "call back". They showed him in line with the girl who arm wrestled one of the judges, remember her? I guess that's what he studied Chris' audition tape. BTW, did y'all know that last year Jordin Sparks did not make it through on her first audition? She actually flew to a different city to audition again and then made it through. Isn't that amazing? Makes you wonder how many others who are truly talented get passed over.

A girl from my hometown auditioned and she said that you first must audition in front of producers for a couple of rounds before you go in front of the judges so I am assuming that is where all that stuff with his brother came in. I don't know how long you wait...days or weeks but I know you dont see the judges the same day as the producers. so David had time to prepare and watch Chris' audition before he went in front of the judges. What gets me is that means the producers pick all the people that make fools of themselves too!! What people will do to get on tv.

DC actually said that himself. I don't understand if he wasn't going to audition why study Chris' audition? Unless it was to help his brother. Also, he certainly sounded like he had put some effort into that BJ song he auditioned with. Did he come up with that while he was waiting in line, no practice at all?

I have a question for the Cook fans. I think it was the finale where he mentioned that he didn't plan to audition but that he was there for just moral support for his brother. But then when he auditioned he said that he had studied Chris' audition. Did the interview get it wrong about being there with his brother?

Lisa you should start a new thread about this!! I absolutely would LOVE it if From Where You're Standing made the next album. Back to Me and YDB are must have's too!!... Hmmm so that's three and typically they only put 12 or so songs on an album. I know there were several from the first album that Chris collaborated with other artists (Rob Thomas for example) that he was hoping would make the next album. But if they've already written 17 and he's STILL WRITING... then I think we need a DOUBLE ALBUM!! Whooo Hoo!

BTW - I've heard rumors that the next album won't be released until NEXT YEAR! Someone said they heard that directly from Joey. That will really bum me out. I mean seriously. And it doesn't make sense. If they're recording it in June 2008, why would they wait more than 6 months later to release it?!?

Im glad AI is over and i wish it was done for good. still not blown away by cook,but im happy for him he that he won , but i've been so tired of hearing and seeing his name so much. DAUGHTRY though will never loose my attention!! CHRIS HOT HOT!!!

I watch the show (at least once it gets down to the final 12 or less) and usually enjoy it, which is why I read this thread. However when a single contestant starts infiltrating nearly every thread on these forums, it starts to annoy. (not just the DC or AI threads, but MANY, non related threads). I have nothing against Cook. If it was Jason or DA, or whoever, I would be just as annoyed. ... anyway... I didn't mean to rub anyone the wrong way. I'm just glad we can get back to talking about the band that brought us all together here in the first place!

Cook say he wanted to do a pop album with some rock in it. Chris on the other hand wants a rock alburm with pop sensibilities

Lisa~I started this thread. Sometimes it feels that there is lots of talk about Cook on this forum. No offense to any of his fans, but it makes it uncomfortable for those who aren't a fan. I think lately it has been contained to one thread like the other contestants which is good.
And congrats to those who like him. I guess he will be going pop with a little bit of rock. At least that is what he said. I think that he will be suited well for pop, so good luck to him.

Now those on the show have got to prove themselves in the years to come. Disappear or rise to the top. They've had their chance and the exposure, now let's see what they can do with it afterwards! See who really has that something special.
Needs not only singing talent but musical ability, confidence in themselves, knowing exactly who they are and what they want to do, perseverence, dedication, hard work, and also they have to be truly likeable and earn the loyalty and respect of the fans. (did I just describe Chris. )
