I'm a fan of Chris Daughtry as he made a profound difference in the music industry. He brought credibility back the to music industry which has been lacking for new artists for so long. Most new artists seem to be just "fluff" who are made in the studio and cannot carry a tune live in concert. Daughtry is just the opposite of that.
I have been a fan of Chris' since I saw him audition on American Idol. I knew he was different than everyone else who auditioned. The only disappointment was seeing him finish the season in 4th place but ultimately, where he finished did not matter. Look at his track record now -- selling millions of CD's and touring with one of the biggest rock bands in the world, Bon Jovi!! How awesome is that? Such a great fit for both bands!
Another fact that I love about Daughtry is the fact that Chris had a hand in writing the lyrics to the songs on his album. That is so rare nowadays. Listening to his lyrics is almost like looking into his life and his experiences. This is one of the many reasons why I respect him so much as an artist and musician.
Looking forward to seeing Daughtry in concert for the first time in March (I will actually get to seem them twice as a second Pittsburgh show has been added)! I missed the Diesel concert as the show sold out in 13 minutes...
