I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... I admired Chris' story on American Idol. I loved how his wife was so supportive of him. I loved how devoted he was to his family. I also loved his talent. He has such a powerful voice and presence. My husband and I rooted for him because he was the most talented person on the show.
When Daughtry came out, I purchased it right away. I loved every song. I know this sounds very cheesy, but it got me through some rough times. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo a very aggressive treatment because I was so young. Anyway, I listened to Daughtry through 1 1/2 years of chemotherapy. I just closed my eyes, put on my Ipod and sang while I was receiving my medicine. This album is always going to have a special place in my heart. I just feel good when I listen to it
