Promotion in the UK......................................
I really dont mean to make a fuss.....and I apologise if I am out of order....but I am sure there are others here in the UK who agree with me that the promotion for the band really needs to be stepped up a little now?!
For example
The AMA's were just shown here last night.....and as I predicted to a friend they were cut!
We got to see the guys collect their first award...Breakthrough artists....then....nothing....errr Hello...they won 3 awards...AND they performed....but you wouldnt know it here....nothing else was mentioned...!!!!!!!! I know it was probably more down to the tv broadcast people in this instance....but there has to be more promotion here in the UK.
Its what us Brits get stuck with pretty much every time...when the new videos come out we dont very often get to watch because we are outside of the USA.......surely if nothing else the gigs at the Borderline and Scala prove the demand for Daughtry here....The 'powers that be' really need to get their fingers out and start promoting BIG TIME here!!!
There is a huge demand for bands like DAUGHTRY.....and this band are on the top of the pile.....no one shines like them right now.....the UK needs music and bands like you guys!!!!!

I am kinda miffed why are they are doing '6' gigs in Germany and nothing here!!

It's got to be more than a visit though. They need a campaign.
The UK is small, but we're the next biggest music market in the world after the USA, and excluding Japan.
It's good business to set up a visible presence here.
They need to actually be seen here!
OK, I know we get Daughtry played on the radio a lot. But that's all.
Never seen Daughtry on the TV - including AMA's.
Only ever heard one small interview at the begining of the year on the radio.
Never seen even a small pic or mention of them in the press or any mag!
Often seems this country is too small to worry about! Even though the music has been successful!
You people who have had Daughtry visit their countries are very lucky!
Know what you're saying about needing to be promoted more though. They've actually visited the UK, but sitll you don't get to hear the music or anything else much! Can't get support and build up a following if people don't get to hear them and know about them!

It's clearly not enough, and I'm sure 'the powers that be', as you put it, know this. It's got to be scheduling or conflicts or something that's preventing this promotion from stepping up a gear.
Sometimes it makes you wonder who the heck is in charge, as we could all do a far better job.
If Daughtry are to make a go of it in Britain then they need to give up their time to do so. You can't break a country from the other side of the Atlantic. We may be a small country in comparison to the USA but we've a vibrant music scene of our own, so Daughtry need to be stand up and counted.
Unfortunately, for me, the promotional campaign for this album is now damaged by the fact that it stalled back in August. Sure it can still be revived. But they've only really got one more chance. Then they can forget it.
Here in Germany same story... There has not even been a show for the AMA's yet. EMA's was all we got. Sucks eh?
Daughtry performed in Stuttgart in the beginning of Dec. As this event was more a pop music than rockin' event the crowd wasn't that great (Check out Tour Talk Section/Europe and follow "Ur lil concert in Germany" and the videos shown there). I just hope DAUGHTRY doesn't think Germany is all that. THERE ARE heaps of rockers out there who just wouldn't go to such an event.
DAUGHTRY was in Germany for promotion only BUT did not play a gig (besides Stuttgart later on). Chris and Brian went to several radio stations which was cool but not enough. As "INO" and "OY" are the only aired songs here I'm happy that they played in Stuttgart 4 other magnificent songs.
Love to have them over here soon too.
Read about you & KAZ went to the US to see DAUGHTRY - awesome!
