I am a fan (and you should be too), because... Daughtry is awesome. Ever since watching Chris on Idol I knew he was going to be big. When Chris didn't win Idol my then 6 year old son was devastated. He cried and was so upset. I assured him that Chris would make a cd and when he did I would get it for him as soon as it came out and thats what I did. He listens to it everyday on his ipod. He knows all the songs word for word and gets so excited when he hears the songs on the radio. To see him get so excited over someones music at such a young age is just so amazing. Daughtry's music is so emotional and wonderful that the song Over You helped me get through a really hard time when the man I thought I was gong to spend the rest of my life with and be a father to my son left. Over You hit so close to home because every line in that song played out that day perfectly, rigth down to the slamming of the front door shut. I cried the first time I heard it because it was so true every word. He wasn't what was best for me and a alot of other doors have opened up and made me realize that no one has the right to tear a person down so much they feel like nothing. There was a time I thought I would never get over him but I did and I am much better off and so much happier. It is just so amazing when the right person sings the right song it can have so much impact and help someone so much. That takes a special talent and that is Chris and his band.
