First off Lisa G. Those are amazing pics. All the reviews were great. He didn't do blaze in pa on the 5th I was at both shows. I know somebody has a you tube video titles that but when you go to it it actually says philly, because that is the only dissapointment two shows no blaze. Anyway put up a vid of you don't belong. Sorry for the shaky camera work to hard to stand still.

I still haven't figured out how to do the pics on here but I am working on it but they are not as good as lisa...

YES HE DID... I forgot to add that I thought it was the best intro he has done so far. He even Steely'ed some Steely. Smiling

Yeah... $4.00 Beers... that is a bargain!!! Where we were 4 bucks was the special on draft. Doesnt matter we were Vodkie girls friday night.Eye-wink Daughtry girls Saturday night. Eye-wink

I need to know...did Chris introduce ALL THE BOYS after Steely's solo in TABA? I hope so!

Eye-wink

And, Rob...(below) $4 beers? You are getting a DEAL! Smiling
--

Lets see... it was umm... tight. The city is like 2 square miles by 2 square miles and cramped, and they LOVE St. Patty day. And their beer.

Word to the wise... if you are anywhere near Pittsburgh on St Patty's day weekend STAY AWAY FROM MARKET SQUARE. I think I still have a nervous tick. Lots of nudity, public urination, barfing, fighting... ahh... not making a good case for those who think it should be a national holiday. BUT it is the perfect place to get green and white feather boahs for a favorite drummer. Eye-wink

If you were in Pitt Sat night you were either at the Daughtry/Jovi show or getting trashed for green. Myself, husband and several of my friends were at Mellon Arena for Daughtry... a few were there for Daughtry and Jovi... some were there for Daughtry and just HAD to see Jovi so they could see SPIRIT FINGERS and Sweatin to the Oldies live. Yes... spirit fingers. My two girls love the movie Bring It On... so when I saw Jovi for the first time during my 3 show stint in Chicago I nearly died laughing because I could just hear Sparky Pulastri...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDbnkfHtD_E

This was my 4th Jovi/Daughtry show, Only watched Jovi the one time. It was enough. Jon ever decides to quit touring he would sure give Richard Simmons a run for his money. I sincerely hope and pray that Daughtry doesnt learn too much from this band. Like... for instance... I dont see Chris ever saying this during a show... but I would choke on barf if he ever told an arena of several thousand that he has "been helping guys get laid for years" *shutter* I know... the mullet and aerobic dance moves combined with the stench of nostalgia can be like an aphrodisiac for some of these Jovi girls... but I dont see it.

For this show my husband and I had 4th row seats on Steely's side of the stage. (We could touch the platform) Chris did a great job getting the audience pumped for Jovi... The guys sounded great... ONE HUGE difference in this show and the others is that Chris was able to use the stage completely... in Chicago he didnt go to the back over behind Joey but during this show he did... and the crowd reaction gave us goosebumps! HOME really gets a great reaction from the audience (singing along as loud as they can) ... and I love the new opening. It was the first time my husband had heard it and he was impressed with the change... he got all excited and yelled to me... "What are they doing? NICE!" There and Back Again is a concert favorite myself... and there is my favorite song... Breakdown. No matter how many times I see it it never gets old. Jp took off his shirt for TABA and SUPRISE!!! NEW INK. (Makes me wish I had picked a different instrument as a kid... not too many tattooed violinist rocking out... darn it.) Joey was wearing a green and red kilt with black and white skull skivvies. (We got the moon peeps!) AND THEE mask... I am scared of clowns... and the mask scares me a little. Ok, A LOT. It might be even more creepy when he turns it around and he is Man-E-Faces (he-man) suddenly... it is creepy... but... I love it!!! It's fun, off the wall and is one of those things that makes Joey, Joey. When I go to a show I know what to expect... another great Daughtry performance... pure entertainment and a break from reality for about an hour. BUT the one unknown is what Joey will do/wear tonight? It's always a suprise, in good taste and gives us a laugh. Smiling

My only complaint about this show needs to be taken up with Chris... (Which I am soo mad at myself b/c I forgot to have my people tell his people)... Where is the blue guitar dude??? Nothing against red, or the yellow and red, or the icey blue one... but... they arent dependable Ole Blue. I have grown quite attached to a quiet moment with Ole Blue... the lights dim... you soulfully singing "Open up the book you beat me with again..." ahh... it is art... many of us love it and miss it. We just dont want you to retire it. Silly, yes... but it is truely "eye candy". Smiling

The arena was decently full when the show started... I didnt pay too much attention to the rest of the crowd when we had some lazy deadbeats behind us... These women wanted to sit thru the concert... when they asked us to sit they heard "NO" "I didnt pay 400 bucks for my seat, I paid for my location." "It's a rock concert... it aint Larry the Cable the Guy!!!"
As soon as Daughtry was over we traded off our good seats to my friends Lori and Dawn because they love Jovi. Smiling The sucky people sat thru Jovi too... pouting and looking miserable.

COME ON PEOPLE... for one I think it is rude. A band you paid to see is doing what they do best on a huge stage and the only enthusian you can muster is getting to your seat to sit on your butt??? Why not just go to a movie??? OR... I know... if you are so lazy that you need to sit the entire time get a seat in the very upper bowl and dont try to ruin the concert experience for everyone else.

ok... rant is over... lol

This trip/ concert was one that will stand out from the others because Daughtry's performance was GREAT... spot on... I had a blast with my friends... made memories that will keep me smiling all the way to the gates... new pics with Joey and Chris... and 18 hours in the car with my husband... Who never stops suprising me, or making me laugh, and I love him with all my heart. The trip and the concert couldnt have been more perfect. Smiling

Here I go..I just love reading all these reviews...I am recovering from our ROAD TRIP still so, First of all awesome show as usual!! although it was a little shorter than on the 5th and was hoping to hear "All These Lives" again. It was still a GREAT SHOW. We did not have the best seats they were up and to the side of the stage ( I guess I was a little spoiled last time) and I think we were the only ones standing up in our section at first. But, this was my friend's first Daughtry concert and they loved it!! We had a great time. I think we all will be going to another show maybe this summer... I wish we would have got to the arena earlier though and maybe ran into some other Daughtry fans outside...(Judy!!! missed seeing ya) and after the concert we should have just stayed at the Marriott for some beers, I don't even want to discuss where we ended up...but anyway back to the show, I think "Breakdown" (with the Megaphone) will always be my favorite song and love it when they do "Hey Man, Nice Shot" at the end. The new song is just amazing!!! Love it all!!
Bon Jovi played for 2 1/2 hours again and is it is a really fun concert, he has alot of energy!!
Can't wait for the next Daughtry concert!! Will probably have to wait for a OHIO date though...

Daughtry was awesome! We really enjoyed the show...but I wish I could remember the set list?

I would definitely like to see Daughtry headlining their own show...I really wish Chris would have joined Bon Jovi on Blaze of Glory (but apparently they did that on the 3/5 show...)

Can't wait to see them again!

I am finally home and catching up!!
Pittsburgh was an AMAZING show as always!! Pittsburgh was definitely a good time, I just wish I was able to spend more time with friends!! I am definitely missing Crashed and Used to from the setlist. I think I need to make more signs! LOL, also missed all these lives. Seems like the setlist is getting shorter! TIME TO ADD ONE OR 2 BACK IN!! Pittsburgh crowd was AMAZING, lots of people in their seats!! (i thought more so here than at greensboro the next night) I FINALLY got a Chris pick!! Only 8 shows in this tour Smiling Still holding out for a VIP Smiling
I was very sad No Blaze, everyone needs to see this!! Its just amazing!
Lori I am SOOO GLAD I GOT TO MEET YOU!! I felt like I have known you forever! Cant wait to do more shows with you Eye-wink
Val, well my buddy, my neighbor! I foresee lots of travel and shows in our future FARGO!!

Judy, that's great that you were able to see the guys before the show. I KNOW you had a great time.
Maggie, I'm so glad that you could come out of your shell for the show! Smiling Daughtry will do that to a person Eye-wink
Alissa, you lucky girl!!! I'm really glad you were able to give Chris your drawing. I know he appreicates it since he's an artist also. And let me say, it is sooooo good!! You are really talented!

What an amazing show in Pittsburgh!! I've seen several Daughtry performances -- York Fair, 9/07; Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, 11/07; and in Washington DC, 2/08 w/Bon Jovi. This was, by far, the BEST, BEST, BEST performance I've seen from the guys yet. They had so much energy and enthusiasm -- from the first minute they hit the stage until the very end of their set. Of course, the crowd was awesome so I'm sure that helped. They truly blew the lid off the arena -- absolutely amazing. These guys are so incredible live. I wish they would record one of their live performances and sell it. What do you think Daughtry fans? Wouldn't that be awesome?

This was a girls-only weekend for a friend and me, and we had SO MUCH FUN! Our seats were on the right side of the floor about halfway back. It was amazing! I hope someday I can get close enough, though, to snag a guitar pick from one of the guys. LOL

What About Now is one of my favorite songs from the CD so I especially enjoyed hearing that one. The new song is fabulous, and There and Back Again was amazing. As others have said, I also missed hearing Crashed. And, of course, I was SOOO disappointed that Chris didn't do Blaze with Jon. I figured, though, that he was anxious to get on his way to Greensboro and get Home. Can't blame him for that.

The Bon Jovi show was also incredible. It was cool to hear that one song (I think Jon said it was called Fourth of July) -- he said they've only played it like twice in 10 years so that was a rare treat. When Jon came out into the crowd to do Make A Memory and a few other songs we were only about 10 rows away. I was doing some major swooning! Now every time I listen to Make a Memory, I just get an image of him standing there, not so far away, performing that song. Ahhhh. He definitely "made a memory" for me!

What an incredible night! The most fun I've had in a long time!

It sounds like you had the night of your life! Congratulations! Your drawing of Chris is really amazing. After reading your review, all I can say is WOW!

It sounds like you had the time of your life! That is awesome!! I know that you will never forget it, I know I wouldn't!!!! Also, the picture you drew is friggin amazing!! You are very talented!

The concert was amazing. Chris and the boys rocked out! Wished they could have stayed longer. BJ was awesome too! It was amazing to see a mixture of young and old! Now I don't feel so old! Recovering today with no voice and bruises on my palms from clapping so hard. It was ALL WORTH IT! Hope Chris and the boys come back soon! And I am happy to say I even got pics this time! Other fans have posted some great clips on YouTube, check it out! VIP winners, CONGRATS and I am sure this is something you will never forget! And yes I am alittle jealous! LOL

Oh. My. Gosh. Most AMAZING night of my life, no lie. I've been crying like a fountain for the past 4 days since I found out I won.
I'm from Connecticut so my mom's cousin and I drove 8 hours yesterday to see Daughtry and Bon Jovi in Pittsburgh...and it was SO worth it. I've been freaking IN LOVE with Chris from the very first second I saw his 'Idol' audition on TV.

I was freaking out the entire time after I found out I won VIP, especially the day of the concert...I could barely even pay attention to Daughtry's set because I was so nervous/excited about meeting them. They did an amazing job, though, and their new song rocked! They sang all their other songs and then a few minutes after they left the stage, a rep came to get us and THAT'S when I REALLY started freaking out. We followed her down behind the stage and we waited back there for maybe 5 or 10 minutes (just a few minutes before the guys came out, Bon Jovi came out through a door near us to get on stage!). Then Daughtry came out!!! And I thought I was going to pass out.

The first set of VIPs went to get their pictures taken with the guys first, then it was our turn. The guys were all standing in a line against the wall with Chris in the middle, and we went and introduced ourselves to Josh S. and Joey, and then when I got to Chris I just let loose and said to him "I LOVE YOU." (I think I may have yelled it...I couldn't hear anything, I was already deaf from their set, lol. :\ ) He looked a little surprised but then said "Oh! Thank you!" Sticking out tongue Then I went to shake Josh P. and Brian's hands but we were in a huge hurry and I was really flustered, so I accidentally kinda blew them off (which I feel really bad about :\ ) and then we all posed for pictures.

Then, I gave Chris a copy of a picture of him that I drew (this one: http://www.daughtryofficial.com/node/222755) and told him I wanted him to have it. His reaction pretty much made my life... when I told him I drew it he looked at it and was like, "holy crap, are you serious? I thought I was good but this is awesome!!" and Joey and Josh S. saw it too and they said it was really good too, and I thought I was going to die! Laughing out loud Then we said goodbye to them and Chris had his hand out or something and as I walked away I kinda grabbed his arm/hand and thanked him and just, ohmygosh. I just couldn't believe it. My dream of SO long had FINALLY come true!!

Then we got back to our seats, and where we were sitting happened to be RIGHT in front of where Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora came out into the crowd to perform a couple of songs. We were literally like 3 or 4 feet away, so that was amazing luck also.

I will NOT be forgetting this night for a LOOOOOONG time.
I wonder if Chris would remember me too from that drawing... one can hope, right?

Smiling

Alright! A show with the NDGs is always a blast! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE those girls! Got there early and saw lines and lines of people there early. The place was pretty full when Daughtry took the stage! I was so happy to see that.

We were really far up and back. The guys were awesome! The show was awesome! I'm just so happy to see them like that. The arena was packed ....I would say almost full by the time they did their second song. Daughtry put on a really good show. I will agree, they don't have much to work with because the stage is not really set up for them. But they make the best of what they have. Chris worked the stage better than JBJ did in my opinion. His voice was just perfect last night. Lots of people singing along. The only thing I would have liked to see was more people on their feet at the end of the show. Everyone was applauding then and yelling, but there were alot of sitters. But Chris seemed to really do his best to get the crowd worked up. I loved seeing "You Don't Belong" live and I got a video of it. My pictures are no good since I was so far from the stage. LOL No Blaze of Glory with Chris and Jon, either. Sad

As for Bon Jovi - well, it was wesome. Daughtrybug GAVE ME HER FOURTH ROW on the side of the stage seats and I am soooooo thankful to her and her hubby for that! Jon wore the red shirt I love. He didn't give us any love though. But we got Richie's rockn guitar solo!
Oh - I got to meet some of the girls from DO too. Lisa and Val. We have pics - they will go on myspace Eye-wink
Now I can't wait for Tampa. GAWD grant me GOOD SEATS PLEASE! LOL I don't think I can ever sit that far back again! Tampa's ON! (Lisa - you are going right? Eye-wink )

GOT THERE EARLY. GOT A CHRIS SITING. HE WAS TALKING ON HIS PHONE, WEARING BLACK, HIS BEANIE AND CONVERSE. HE WAVED AND SAID SEE YA! WE THEN SAW THE GUYS WALKING BACK AND FORTH FROM THE BUS. AT 7:00 CHRIS WENT IN TO THE ARENA AND ROCKED. THANKS GUYS FOR AN AWESOME SHOW. MET A COUPLE OF DAUGHTRY FANS (HEY KATIE AND LISA!!)

WE WENT IN AND SAW A GREAT SHOW!!! ONLY 45 MIN BUT HE SANG HIS NEW SONG TO START AND FINISHED WITH SHINE, USED HIS MEGAPHONE,LOVE IT.
GREAT, GREAT AND GREAT!!! CANNOT WAIT TIL THE NEXT CLOSE CONCERT. THE VIP WAS NOT UP FRONT LIKE ON THE 5TH. MAYBE THEY WERE NOT IN THEIR SEATS SOON ENOUGH?? BECAUSE JAMERZ AND JACKIE WERE UP FRONT BY THE STAGE ON THE 5TH. SO SAD.

BON JOVI SHOW WAS REALLY GOOD. ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS CHRIS DIDN'T SING WITH BON JOVI. (BOO HOO, NEITHER SHOW IN PITTS) MY HUSBAND ENJOYED BON JOVI. A LOT OF LIGHTS AND ACTION. WHEN WE LEFT, HALF WAY THRU HIS ONCORE (sp), DROVE DOWN PAST THE ARENA, DAUGHTRY BUSES WERE GONE. HOMEWARD BOUND. HAVE FUN N.C.

This was my first time seeing both bands live so seeing them together was a real treat! My mom loved the show just as much (and she's 67, lol!!!)

I rarely dance and scream and sing along at the top of my lungs at concerts because I'm an introvert and pretty reserved...but something came over me especially during any Bon Jovi song that came from the 80's, lol. And Daughtry...I went a bit nuts, lol. I figured I've been waiting since the 80s to see Bon Jovi and I've been waiting since Idol to see Daughtry so I may as well let my guard down and rock out! Smiling

I took some awesome video (one of Daughtry and three of Bon Jovi) which I am uploading to youtube as we speak. But here are two of the vids that I got up so far (including the one of Daughtry):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xByp-FCMdnw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTi72b-gdQ4

I didn't take a ton of video or pictures because I wanted to enjoy the show and make sure I was spending more time rockin out than looking through a camera lens, but I did fill up my memory stick! Smiling

It was one of the best concerts I've been too in a looooong time!

EDIT: Here is another video I finally got up (it's of Bon Jovi):

Obviously the show was amazing...Chris and the band are extremely talented and were even better than when I saw them in Hershey last summer. My mom, cousin, aunt, and I attended tonight's show. As a VIP winner my cousin and I were able to go backstage and meet Chris and the band. Of course, he is even more gorgeous in person (as you can see in the pic). To make things even more incredible we were right behind the stage where Jon and Richie sang a few songs...this was definitly the most memorable concert I have ever attended. Both bands were amazing and my cousin and I have tons of pics to keep reliving the night. Thanks to everyone responsible for making the VIP experiences possible and to Chris and the band for being so nice. Another amazing show...and by the sounds of their new song there will be many more amazing shows to look forward to in the future!!!

The show was great, but no Blaze again.
My big question is why there were no VIP winners on stage like last week??
I really hope they just didn't show up, because I would have loved to be there.
If you're out there VIP winner, let us know if you made it and why you didn't get to do the side of the stage for the show??

The arena was packed for Daughtry! Chris commented that he was glad everyone came early! From what I could see there were TONS of Daughtry fans singing and screaming!!

You Don't Belong was awesome!! Chris was great vocally and his performance was HOT! The band too! They moved around a lot and seem to be having so much fun. I loved every second! My friend never saw them before and didn’t know much about them and fell in love with Joey!

The only disappointment was that they did not have Daughtry on the big screens. OK, I was really upset! It made me feel a bit disconnected. The fact that I have watched their AOL and PBS concerts a million times help me create a visual.

And, Chris did not come out for Blaze of Glory. I wonder why? **pout**

It takes me awhile to come down from a Daughtry high!!!
