Thanks a bunch!
I wanna thank the woman who gave my 10 yr old daughter a signed picture of the band. She saw her looking at her friends and she said they had a meet and greet with the band and she already had one, so she offered it to my daughter. She is still talkin about to this day. That was very sweet, thank you so much! I wish I would've gotten your name, but the excitment of it all just took over. Also, to the lady who works for the local radio station, thank you as well for talking with my princess, she got a kick out of you. That night was absolutely amazing. I could not get over how small the PAC is compared to Wachovia Center, which is where I normally go to concerts. The experience of the PAC was sooooo much nicer. Im hoping one day they come back, but after all the drama, Im not sure. Best concert I have ever been to! Keep up the great work guys! You rock, your awesome!
AWESOME SHOW
My computer was "out of order" so to speak for a few days. Its a week later but I finally get to add my comments. What an AMAZING SHOW!!! I would love if they guys come back to Reading. Of course, who would blame them if they didn't. But of course, there's always ONE in the crowd who has to cause trouble. Other than that, all I can say is grow up, lady!!! How awful are you to fight with a young lady of all but 12 yrs. old! As for the everyone else, it was wonderful to meet Melanie and Amy! I hope you both enjoyed the show as much as I did. We didnt stay to wait at the buses as planned, figuring Chris was probably exhausted with being sick the night before and then had a long drive to CT. Here's to all the true Daughtry fans in hopes they guys will be back!

I am so sorry to hear about your friend and our prayers are with you and them. I hope things will turn around for you. I am glad that you were able to attend the concert. It was incredible. fill free to e-mail anytime if you need someone to talk to. I really enjoyed Day of Fire and also had to go buy both CD's and he has a great testimony. And his cd's are great and my fiance and I can not get enough of listening to them. I love that he is not afraid to share his testimony with everyone.

DAUGHTRY AND DAY OF FIRE ROCKED!!!
Wow! What can i say. I didn't even have a ticket for this concert, but I took a chance and called the performing arts center and got a ticket 4 hours before the show started!! MY SEAT WAS AMAZING! I was house left in box B!! This was the best DAUGHTRY concert I have been to yet! Day of fire blew me away too!! They are one of the best Christian Rock Bands out there!! I bought both their CD's. Josh Browns vocals are awesome and I am hoping he and Chris do a song together as Chris is saved too!!! Josh has an amazing testimony. DAUGHTRY WAS HOT!! the band, Chris, everyone, the fans, we ruled. I met some of you from this sight and it was all good. I know DAUGHTRY will walk away with all 4 grammys without a doubt!! I really needed to be at this concert and God heard my prayers. I am going thru some stuff and a good friend of mine is back on cocaine! Please pray for him, he is really a good guy he is really hurting right now!! If there are other christians or other fans that want to email me some time, please do. I would like to get to know some of you better. much love...

LOVED your review!!!! agree with you totally!!!
Merry Christmas to you too!
AWESOME, AMAZING, FANTASTIC, INCERDIBLE
Are just some of the words I can come up with to describe the concert on Saturday. It was the first concert that I have been to that was not at a fair. And I must say it was the BEST!!!
I've read these reviews and it discusses me the way people have to act, especially adults. Now what kind of example is that for the kids. Give me a break.
The people complaining about the wait, what's the point in complaining, you got to see him right? I would do whatever I could to get tickets or whatever to see him.
The way Daughtry added "Walk the Line" in with the song "What about me" was great. I loved "Paridise City" and the new song "Back to Me" was amazing. Josh's "Crazy Train" was AWESOME!!! The whole concert, the lights, the background and the expressions on Daughtry's face ( you could tell he was having fun) and that is what makes a show INCREDIBLE!!! He is an incredidable person, as I'm sure all of the guys are great too.
I had never heard of Day of Fire until this concert and they impressed my to the point where I had to go get both of there CD's. I was, what's the word, Twiterpaited
that I didn't even see what had happened in the pit and that is a shame that people have to act that way.
I loved the way the guys had fun up there on stage and the way they got the crowd going. Of course, that didn't take much. I wish it never had to end. I wish that I could post some of my pics, but they are all too big to post.
I met some people from this site there at the concert and we had some good conversation. It was good and I had a blast. I still can't believe I was as close as I was to him though. Almost got the hand, but not close enough. Just being able to be there was great, becasue I had been trying to get to the last few that he has had in the past and couldn't make it so when I won my tickets I was Estatic and that is all my fiance heard for a month and 1/2.
Want to say congrats
to the teacher that was able to get her kids' cards to Daughtry and the guys that is FABULOUS to hear that there was some good that came from this. Let hope he comes back for another concert. And I hope I get to meet them all the next time I get to one of his concerts.
Happy Holidays to all of you!!!!

I sooo agree with you.....The wait was wellllll worth I think, no wait I know. And as for Day Of Fire, they were good too. Midway wasn't the greatest but hey they try, you gotta at least give them that!

DAUGHTRY IS JUST AWESOME....THAT IS IT!
I agree with you Hot4theBaldness------quit complaining about waiting 2 hours for Daughtry!!!!! I've driven/flown to several states this year to watch Daughtry and stood in general admission lines for like 10 hours or sol, and every minute is worth it!!!!!!!!!!!! Ya'll quit doggin my boys---Day of Fire! I LOVE Them!!! For the one who said Chris didn't thank them---i cant remember if he did this time but he usually says something bc him and Josh (day of fire) are really close friends! Anyway---Midway state, wasn't that awesome........i sorta enjoyed the music but not the piano rocker guy....what in the world! i'm not tryin to dog them, so i'll just say that is not my type of music. Anywaysw--i LOVE how Daughtry has moved up with their lighting and fog and cool effects!! The fog sucked a lil bc of pictures tho....After a few songs, I seen that there were alot of ppl up front, so i took off and went towards the front. I was a few ppl back.....Love how Chris ran through and hit everyones hand.....he couldn't hardly reach myne and was wigglin his fingers and scrunchin his nose tryin to get my hand....finally he did-- it was funny!! I felt bad for the poor lady who i almost fell over bc i was right in her face!! I apologize! hehe!! Anywayws---i could go on and on and aon...but I won't. This was my 10th Daughtry concert and in my opinion, ranked right up there ...one of the best ones......probably 2nd compared to Cincinnati, Oh! hehe!! Anyways-----------------------------------------------Nice to meet some of ya'll Daughtry fans and hope to see ya in the future!!!!
DAUGHTRYROX85
Oh yeah.....
That was really cool about the cards. Great idea! Thank your kids for making them, from me! I bet they were cute! What grade are the kids in?
cops
I have to agree w/ you all the cops were out of hand, but if it's any consolation, my hubby who isn't even a big fan of Daughtry hackled them and outsmarted them, but after standing in the freezing cold and altho we conquered the porch next to the alley (the owners gave us permissiont to stand there) we threw in the towel and rolled our old arses outta there! Not even sure why were were there, think it was just a point for the hubby to give the cops a na ne na ne poo poo from everyone they chased away. And no it wasn't necessary for 4 cop cars and 2 vans, in fact hubby and I asked the cops if they didn't have a murder to solve or a drug bust to make a block away...tee hee!
Oh yeah and the pit is the pit, expect bruises, expect to be pushed and proded, but don't expect to be put in a choke hold. I've been on the rail for 4 NB concerts now and I've seen everything I thought, but I haven't seen that! Unnecessary and immature to say the least...hope everyone is ok.
This was the best show I have seen in a long time!!!!!!!!
Boys sounded great, looked great, and really entertained! I'd say we all got our money's worth at this show. I brought my 14 year old daughter with me to this one and she didn't want it to end (just like me). We were both singing at the top of our lungs till we were out of breath. I even thought I was going to pass out at one point.
I loved how they mixed in the other songs and I LOVED the new song! As much as I wanted to be up front closer to be touched by Chris, I am glad my daughter and I had the seats we did. We were on the right, second to last row, but towards the center. The way the seats were elevated and started close to the stage, we saw everything. Such a great night! Please, please, please come back to Reading!!!!!!
I have a feeling that the "fans" that acted inappropriate are not DO fans, but rude, ignorant people. All of us here know how to act and represent. If you are a DO fan, shame on you!
Hillary
Awesome review, well written!!!!! I'm so glad I was able to meet you on Saturday!
beetle4me
Thank you, I read your review too! Good thing these great minds need to stick together!!!
Hot4theBaldness............
More power to you girl!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't agree with you more and as a matter of fact I posted a similar review.....great minds think alike!!!
I have to say my peace
Okay, first off to anyone who acted in any way un human like at the concert SHAME on you!!! If you were a TRUE Daughtry fan you wouldn't have acted that way!! Second, anyone who complains about waiting "2" hours watching "horrible" bands SHAME on you too!!!!! Those 2 opening acts may not have been your cup of tea but they deserve the right to try and make it! Also complaining about waiting 2 hours to see Daughtry for 1 hour - think of this, had Chris not decided to wait hours and hours in line for his chance to be on American Idol, you would not have even been at that show on Saturday night!!! Thank god he did so we could all be there. BTW I was in the "mosh" pit and my seats were in Row B Orchestra center and I am sorry if anyone felt that because they spent a couple hundred dollars on seats they deserved to be up front more then I. It is ashame that someone sold tickets that should have cost the same as any other seats to make a profit.
Okay so I have spoken my peace, sorry if I offend anyone it isn't my intention, but I am the type of person who speaks her mind, so there you go.
BTW I am glad they got your cards.
Hilary-Cards
Soooo glad to hear that they got the cards, I was wondering myself if they were going to get them or not! I'm sure it made your students happy to hear that they got the cards that they made for them! I know I would've been happy to hear that.

Spectacular night - COULDN'T HAVE ENJOYED IT ANY MORE!!! :-D
What can I say about this concert?? It was an unforgettable experience and I truly did not want the night to end. Living in Reading, I was able to get there early – I got there around 4PM, but silly me, didn’t realize where the buses were and stood in front of the theatre to wait. It wasn’t until maybe 5:30 when I met up with fans near the buses. Although it was quite cold and we didn’t have any sightings, I had a great time meeting some wonderful people and fans – some I’ve spoken to on DO, some were brand new friendships.
Around 7:30, we headed inside toward our front row seats. When we got there, to make a long story short, we had some trouble with our tickets. Although everyone I was with had ticketmaster printed tickets, there were women who claimed our seats were theirs – Security took four of us out into the lobby to “straighten it out.” I was getting quite nervous because we paid so much for those front row seats, I wasn’t about to be told we had to move! Security told us our tickets were legit & removed the other two women. I was so worried that was the start to a rough night! But that couldn’t be farther from the truth!!!!
I actually missed the majority of Day of Fire because of the ticket/security ordeal. What I did hear, I enjoyed and I actually caught a drumstick & the lead singer gave me the set list. Although I appreciated it and was glad to have it, I thought a little girl sitting one row behind me that I met earlier that night might appreciate it more, so I gave them to her. She was so excited and made a beeline for the lobby to get the stick signed and buy the CD! I was very happy to see her so excited. I personally didn’t care for the Midway State, but appreciated their effort and respect their talent in their own right.
I was just so excited for the main attraction!!
And they certainly didn’t disappoint. The second the lights dimmed in the PAC, EVERYONE bum-rushed the stage!! We (those of us who actually bought front row tickets…) were NOT prepared for that! We just jumped up and ran to maintain our “front row” spot. It would have been more than a little upsetting to spend so much for our tickets and still not be up front. So many people crammed in behind us, we couldn’t move – not that we wanted to!! Each band member started playing/singing from behind a curtain, with a light shining on them, which was the perfect way to get the crowd ecstatic before even seeing any of the boys!! As soon as the curtain was raised, everyone went nuts as we sang along to “Crashed.” I loved having the experience of being that close to DAUGHTRY! I truly felt connected with each of them, and almost forgot about the 2,000 fans behind me! The whole concert, while I wasn’t singing along or screaming at the top of my lungs, I had the biggest smile I’ve ever worn plastered across my face. JP looked directly at me a couple of times and all I could do was smile and yell “I love you!” He smiled, even winked, and posed for a picture. What a sweetheart! Brian was rocking out, as well, and looked as good as ever!!
Josh Steely surprised me as he took over the mic at one point with “Crazy Train”!! In no way was I expecting it, but was pleasantly surprised!!! He rocked out and I completely enjoyed it!!! It was cute seeing Chris sing back-up as well!
I saw Joey (shirtless) hiding behind his drums and I was trying to figure out for the life of me what that man was wearing!! He definitely looked as though he was enjoying himself and did an exceptional job with the accompaniment during “Imagine.” It wasn’t until later that I saw his black socks hiked half way up his shins, plaid kilt, and the British boxers he sported as he exited the stage – he’s so funny! So many look up to his one-of-a-kind style and he’s truly a trend-setter, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the newest fad of 2008!!
Now on to Chris – I don’t know if I’m aware of the appropriate vocabulary to describe the amazing job that Chris did. He kept the crowd energized and in return, fed off of the energy and love the crowd was giving him. It was truly amazing to witness how he enjoys performing like that! I had the pleasure of getting two or three high-fives as he passed by the edge of the stage and am not embarrassed to say how excited a touch from Chris truly made me. I absolutely loved the new song, “Back to Me” and was glad I already knew some of the words after seeing the video posted from one of the NYC concerts! I’m looking forward to hearing it on the new album next year, along with other new material. Chris’s rendition of “Imagine” was truly touching and I was so glad they chose that song for this show. “Imagine” is such a beautiful song and I find it even more meaningful coming from Daughtry! Chris NAILED every single note and it’s not the easiest song to sing!!! It was also a pleasant surprise to hear some of “I Walk the Line” in the middle of “What About Now.” I loved being close enough to see the boys interact and laugh with each other while on stage. It seemed like they were totally enjoying themselves, and I truly hope they did. Knowing Chris was sick the night before, I would imagine he didn’t miraculously get cured overnight, but he definitely did not lead on that he was under the weather. He rocked just as hard, if not harder, than any other time I’ve seen them (live or recorded). Seriously, I cannot say enough about how much I loved this concert!!!!! Each band member did a spectacular job and far exceeded my expectations. I wish I could attend more concerts and be that close all the time!
After the show, I did hang around for a bit, in hopes to see our guys, but, like the others, was chased away by the cops. Although I had high hopes since we were in my hometown and I was slightly disappointed, I completely understand. I can only imagine how demanding this life has been for the last year plus for our favorite men…we, as fans, need to remember that it is not their job to greet us after the show…that if we do get the opportunity, it is an added privileged and that there could be any number of reasons why they could not or did not want to be greeted by hundreds of fans afterward. I just hope it was not due to the actions of a fan(s) because Daughtry has many loyal and true blue fans in Reading, PA and around the area that would not think of doing anything that is disrespectful to the band or other fans. I commented on the incident earlier, but will not get into it here.
I teach at the local city school and some of my students made cards for Daughtry. I brought them with me to the show, in hopes I could deliver them to the band myself, but once everyone rushed up to the stage before Daughtry entered, I couldn’t reach the bag of cards. I ended up giving the bag to the lighting manager, in hopes he would see the band got them, knowing the guys have a soft spot in their hearts for child fans. I was nervous, wondering if they got the cards when we were chased away after the show by the cops. I went out afterward with a new friend and left to drive home around 2:30. I drove past the theatre and saw that not only the buses were there, but there were five guys standing outside of the buses, talking to each other. I parked and went over to them – they were Daughtry’s roadies. They kind of laughed as I approached, I’m sure they were thinking, “Here comes another one of those crazies!” I just wanted to ask if they knew whether the guys received my kids cards…and ALL of them said, “We know they got them because we saw a lot of them!” and they started describing specific cards! That was the [nearly] perfect end to the night, knowing that my students’ efforts were well received! The only thing that could make it better is if I could have delivered them personally and hear their reactions, but in no way will you hear me complaining about the night because to me, it was absolutely magical. I’m just so glad I’m able to tell my students that I KNOW Chris, Joey, JP, Josh, & Brian got the cards! Knowing that was extra special to me.
Overall, I can’t say enough about the night and wish I could travel any & everywhere to see Daughtry rock all the time! Best concert ever!!

Free hugs, a big smile, and a thought of pure happiness...
♥ It's a DAUGHTRY thing! ♥
If I were Chris...
and saw the whole thing with the towel, I would've taken it back and decided from then on that I wouldn't throw anything else out into the crowd. That is pretty sad that there are some people out there that act that way. I saw and heard Chris pick up the microphone and say something about acting like adults, but some people just don't get it. I agree with the other person on here that commented about the incident, no wonder they didn't come out afterwards, and no wonder the security was that tight. But, of course we were in Reading, so anything is possible I guess. It definitely isn't the greatest city in the world by no means, and people like that just add the fuel to the fire.
I really hope everyone involved grows up a little bit and prays that Daughtry comes back. Maybe if they do they will come to the Sovereign Center and not the PAC again because of how out of hand things got. I only hope things weren't ruined for the rest of us by people acting childish.
WOW! Incredible Show!!
How VERY LUCKY I feel to have watched (from the mosh pit) those VERY GIFTED GUYS deliver "The POP/ROCK album of the year" to us! What an Amazing Show! And watching them from that OUTSTANDING - very compact- venue.......well, it was truly unforgetable. Thank You Soooo Much, Guys, You ROCK!!!! HAPPY CHRISTMAS & MERRY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!!!!!

This concert was unbelievable! Thanks guys!!
I don't know if it was the venue, the crowd, the music, Chris' voice, the guys energy, friends I was with, or a combination of all of these, but this show was the best I have been to!! The addition of Imagine was a treat for us too! Chris was awesome all night...totally into it!
This is why this band deserves the Grammy nominations they got! The shows they put on are fantastic ...they just keep getting better and better each time I see them!
Special thanks to JP for coming out after the show to pose for pictures even though it was freezing!
I flew from SC to NJ/PA to see two shows and it was well worth it..(except for the cold!)

Live, Laugh, Love,
Daughtry
As far as...
I heard. It was the PAC security that was responisble for calling the cops.
CHRIS IS AMAZING!!!!
This show was absolutely amazing. Chris is amazing live and I am just so thankful that I finally got to see him and the band. Could've done without the two opening acts and more of Daughtry!! I was so very lucky to have dead center front row seats. I was just in pure heaven.
As to the towel incident, I cannot add much except to say my girlfriend was involved somehow. The first towel was thrown and I guess she caught it when everyone grabbed for it. A woman actually put her in a headlock. When I finally turned around she was pushed so far back and I was like where did you go, what are you doing? I was too busy staring at Chris that I was oblivious to everything else going on. A man had the other end of the towel and she finally let go and was shocked that a man would fight so hard for Chris's towel. We actually laugh about it because she was getting beat up behind me and I didn't notice a thing. Chris has that affect. I think what was disgusting is that at least to me it seemed very apparent that Chris wanted the second towel to go to a young boy and an adult male ripped it out from Chris's hands. Just wrong!!
As to the "mosh" pit. I must say, I think it is terrible for people in the front row. Now, while I was there I didn't care about anything except enjoying my concert. But I have black and blue marks on my arms from being consistenly pushed into the stage. I wouldn't trade them for my spot, but I know people paid a lot of money for some of those seats and it wasn't fair for us to get "beat" up.
The only downfall to the show is that it ended. I wish I could go back and make it Saturday again. Daughtry is AWESOME!!!!!
Just wanted to add one thing. Chris Daughtry is without a doubt the defintion of hot and sexy!!!!!!!!
Let Me Begin...
by saying the show was awesome!!! I am sorry to anyone who had a bad time! Our seats were great I got great pics, I enjoyed the first 2 opening bands but when Daughtry came on I was on my feet and down by the stage which wasn't far considering we were in row B, I had such a blast I felt like a teenager again!! I have been to many, many concerts in my lifetime and this had to be my all time favorite, I enjoyed the smaller crowd, having been to the Soverign Center for shows and being allowed up front to snap a pic or 2 and then being shushed away, I was able to stay upfront the entire show!! I hope if they do come back they do to the Performing Arts Center!! Thank you guys for putting on an AWESOME show and keep up the good work!!!!!

towel
K i've gotta know now what happened w/ this towel? I was leaving and hit the potty first and a girl was in front of me saying I'd press charges there's a mark there and I heard something about choking but I'm lost...Nevermind I went back to the posts and read...all I have to say is INSANE!
C'mon People.......
I am very dissapointed in the way some people acted at the concert! Reading is my hometown and I certainly don't want it to be portrayed as some awful place to be. I don't want anyone thinking for one second that this city is filled with rude and obnoxious people! Most of us are nice and respectful and know how to handle ourselves! C'mon...we don't want Daughtry getting the impression that they should NEVER come back to Reading, do we? Look...I am not trying to put anyone down because I sure as hell wouldn't want it done to me but, Daughtry coming to Reading was truly an honor and we ALL should have treated it that way!!!! However, how do we know that they are going to come back now knowing how alot of people acted? I am ashamed of the people involved in the whole towel incident ( 4ever Daughtry....I don't mean you dear, I mean the poor girl who was nearly choked) and I didn't even know that someone grabbed Chris....how disrespectful is that? I would be absolutely thrilled if Daughtry came back to Reading and now, I sure hope they do!
-Melanie
AMAZING!!!!
This was the best show I have been to yet! The venue was awesome and the guys sounded incredible, as always!!!!! Steely's rendition of Crazy Train, a new song from Chris, and Joey SHIRTLESS...what more could we ask for!?!
I still didn't get to see the guys after the show thanks to the cops chasing us away, but there is always next time. I definitely see many more Daughtry shows in my future.
AWESOME PERFORMANCE GUYS! Thanks for all that you do!

came out
So he never even came out after waiting all that time? And someone grabbed him? The pit will be the pit regardless of who is playing, it's all part of it unfortunately some people just choose to take it to extremes.
SO AWESOME!!!!
My sister and I had a blast! This was the best concert of 3 that we've been to.
We were so excited to finally meet JP...even though he was hurried by the RUDE cop:(
It was worth the wait. I loved the way they mixed it up this time. Paradise City and Imagine
were a nice surprise. Steely was so great singing "Crazy Train". They all are so amazingly
talented. We were in the "MOSH" pit for the entire show and a bit disappointed in the rudeness a few people around us who were pushing and shoving. And the ones associated
with the towel incidences- unbelievable. And whoever grabbed Chris..it was written all over
his face how disgusted he was with the look he gave them. I can understand why he didn't
come out afterwards. I'm sure he was not happy with the actions that took place.
Don't we want them to be proud of their fans...not ashamed???
I love Daughtry and will continue to follow and support them! Even though my hubby has
cut me off from going to another concert for a while:(
Is there a Daughtry support group or rehab?...LOL
