Why I am a fan

I am a fan (and you should be too), because...

It has been a long time since I have heard a rock band that I wouldn't be ashamed to let my parents know that I listen to. I have never believed that musicians need vulgar language in their music to make it sell and Daughtry has proven my point. I remembered Chris from his audition for Idol and I voted for the full 2 hours every week. I marked my calendar for November 21st and I was at Wal-Mart at midnight to get the CD. I am a little embarassed to say that when the CD wasn't on the shelf at midnight I asked someone to go to the back and get one for me. I knew from the beginning that he was the best not only vocally but personally. His dedication to his family makes me admire him. He doesn't fit the profile of what a rock star used to be: loud, ungrateful guy who trashs hotel rooms and hook up with random women in every city they visit. He is someone who truly deserves to succeed at everything he does. The entire band is amazing. It is great to know that every song on an album is fantastic. Daughtry is a band that I will follow because they are real people who are lucky enough to get paid to do what they love. They are appreciative for thier fans and I am truly blessed to be able to call myself a Daughtry fan. Chris and the rest of the guys are the perfect role models: they are good people who can rock. The entire band is an inspiration that one day you can be working making minimum wage and the next you can be living your dream. Daughtry is the first and last thing I listen to everyday. I bought two copies of the album: one has been in my car since November 21st and the other is in my stereo in my room. Chris' story inspires me to achieve my dream. I will never be a rock star but I will be the best at what I do whatever that may be. The majority of who I am comes from my parents, from God and a small part comes from the role models that I allow to influence my life. Daughtry is a part of that. Thats why I am a fan and you should be too.
