I hope the Grammy's do a better job recognizing Daughtry talent

Great video...I was not surprised that it was not the same old "break-up" video! I've not been disapointed with anything that Daughtry has done. This is just another example of Chris Daughtry's musical genius. Keep up the GREAT music and videos...Looking forward to the next Daughtry CD.

with everyone on here saying the the award show was terrible!! I think the concept was creative, but it just didn't seem to work!!! The show seemed sparatic and unorganized to say the least!!! I do enjoy a lot of other types of music, but what I don't want to see is a bunch of people lip-syncing!!! Hate that!!!! I also agree with Justin Timberlake about MTV focusing more on music and playing more videos! Obviously Chirs agreed with that too (only glimpse I got of him all night and he looked good!)
Hopefully the guys had a great time people/star watching and being in Vegas!!! On to the next awards show.........shows that actually really mean something!!! Billboard awards, American music awards and the Grammy's!!! They WILL be recognized when it is most important!!! I have faith!

When I mentioned on Joey's myspace page that the VMAs should have been shown on BET, I was totally BASHED! I wasn't making a derogatory comment about a whole race, just the (C)RAP music that dominated the whole show!!! I'm glad to see that at least a few true music fans agree with me! I did get a lot of "private" messages, saying that they felt the same way. What is so wrong with expressing your feelings about the obviously biased awards show? If it were the other way around and (C)RAP music was being snubbed, you can bet that there would be accusations of discrimination! Oh well.....I don't want to get a whole big "THING" started. Just commenting.

did you guys hear him say something about Brittney? I swear I watched the whole thing, but never saw him or heard him talk...confused...

MTV awards - a definate disappointment - did get to see a glimpse of Chris though!! I would never sit through all of that mess if Chris wasn't going to be there! Can't wait to see the guys tonight on Letterman!

of just how tough this business is and oh, the things the boys have to endure to bring home the dream to themselves and us fans.....can you imagine their travel schedule and sitting there most of the night with all that going on around them just to get an award....some of the nominated artists didn't even show up....I don't think I could do it and that's what makes the guys so great....they've got the drive and determination to get it done and with class....and yes, Chris' remark about Brittney was kind.......I love these guys!

It's only Rock 'n Roll until you see and hear Daughtry!

I was quite disappointed with the show if I do say so myself and it was a waste of time. I agree with those of you who didn't understand why Daughtry was not nominated for Best New Artist. That was a disappointment and Carrie Underwood has been around for awhile and plus she's more country than anything so don't even get me started on that!! I was really hoping to catch Daughtry there b/c afterwards it was advertised through some of their commericals but imagine my surprise when no....Daughtry didn't do a thing and that angered me. I was also very disappointed Daughtry lost the one award they were up for. I think it was wrong that so many songs were up for the Monster single. I hated the way the music was set up, it was overbearing and I did not have fun at all. If I knew I wouldn't get a chance to see Daughtry, I would have stopped watching after they lost that first award but whatever. MTV is mostly the stupid hip-hop, pop music and rock does not get as much air time. Plus it's true what Timber-fake said "they need to play more videos!

Why we love you so much???? Your songs actually have meaning. Most of what was on this crazy show, means absolutely nothing. The lyrics are not realistic, they lack meaning. Keep doing what you do. You are number one in all of our hearts. This award show was a whole different world. Love what Chris's response was to Brittney. "She needs a hug". You are a truely a good hearted person. Stay grounded and don't change.

So was anyone else wondering why Daughtry was not nominated for best new artist, or is it just me?? It was messed up how they had Carrie Underwood nominated for best new artist. While I like Carrie Underwood, I wouldn't consider her to be a new artist. Daughtry definately should have been nominated. A performance would have been nice too. But at least we got a glimpse of Chris looking hot as ever.

I haven't watched the VMAs since that year when Snoop Dog took over the show with his "fizzle in my shnizzle" type of stuff. I'm not old, but I'm not young. LOL Just a 30 something who loves music. I love all kinds of music including some of those featured on the VMAs this year like Justin Timberlake and 50 Cent. I admit I even like Kanye West as an artist (not as the person he is though). But with that said, I was extremely dissappointed in the VMAs this year. I don't think I can waste my time with it even if Daughtry is to be featured next year.
I think Justin Timberlake was the only one to really put out something good the other night. "Play more videos" he said, as Chris Daughtry whistled after him. I agree 100%. MTV lost me years ago with the Real World, and Laguna Beach, Sweet Sixteen, etc......reality show central. What ever happened to the Music? I would LOVE to know. Hey - I like a little "Cribs" and even "Punked" does it for me, but for the most part, I stay clear of MTV because it.......sucks. sorry! Ya'll know I really try to stay positive. But Sunday night was the last straw.

I couldn't get a vote in without lying about my demographic. And for that - we get Rhianna's "Umbrella" as the winner of Monster Single of the Year. Nothing against Rhianna, but "Umbrella" is a newer song! It's just......not all that good. I mean, I could accept someone like Avril Levine winning. But Rhianna? I'm just so over the manufactured music. I think that is what it is.

So Daughtry didn't win. I wanted them to! I really did! Guys - you are the real deal! I'll be watching for you on the award shows that matter.

I FINALLY GOT TO WATCH THE VMA'S LAST NIGHT DESPITE THE BAD REVIEWS HERE. I LIKE DIFFERENT KINDS OF MUSIC AND THOUGHT, WELL, EVEN IF I DON'T GET TO SEE CHRIS, IT IS STILL SOMETHING TO WATCH! I SHOULD HAVE JUST BRUSHED MY CAT OR SCRUBBED MY SHOWER INSTEAD!! THAT WAS HORRIBLE!!! THE ONLY THING THAT I REALLY ENJOYED WAS CHRIS BROWN'S DANCING... THAT BOY CAN MOVE!! I agree, all the guys look fabulous...love the suit, Joey! I went back to the recorded show and found Daughtry's table thanks to that white suit! I think I can see them all sitting together, but it's hard to tell. Looking forward to the TV appearances Wed, Thurs, and Friday!

I haven't read one single positive comment about the VMA's, so obviously everyone is pretty much on the same page about that joke of an awards show. But...I'm sure the guys won't be able to tell us what THEY REALLY thought about the whole fiasco. They are going to have to be politically correct, not burn bridges, and definitely not give anyone anything bad to say about them. That's okay guys...we know it sucked!! It was a waste of time that you could've had with your families! BUT you looked so-o-o-o SMOKIN' HOT!!!!!

Man I was the first to post after someone else won DAUGHTRY'S award, and came back and was reading all the other posts! Glad everyone agrees, that show should have been on "another network" MTV was great back when they first started out, back in the early 80s, I watched it all the time, but after they quit showing videos and started all those stupid shows they have, they went down, in my opinion! Being nominated is a great honor!!! But winning that award is nothing compared to the REAL awards!!!!! We have plenty to look forward to!!! Our guys are just starting out, and look at Bon Jovi! I know DAUGHTRY will still be rockin down the house in 20 years Though I will be in my 60s LOL I will still be rockin and rollin right with the best of them! DAUGHTRY RULES AND WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

went back and watched the awards that i recorded on my DVR.. looked for daughtry and only saw chris. i didnt catch JP before cutting to commercial. kinda crappy they only showed chris but he was lookin damn sexy.

the whole VMA show was basically a disappoitnment. its all crap that should be on BET. the chris brown performance was kinda cool but NOTHING compares to DAUGHTRY♥

What a waste of 3 hours. I watched the preshow and the whole awards show. Saw two shots of Chris. When Beyonce won and when he whistled. What can you expect since they only play about 20 videos a day and the majority of them are Timbaland, Nelly Furtado or Justin Timberlake. Uugghhhh!!!!!!!!! Never again!!!!!!!!

Plus, how does Rihanna take monster hit. Who has sold over 3 million copies of their album. Whose videos have ranked in the top one or two (on VH1 of course). Who is selling out every concert. And best new artist??? I love Carrie Underwood, but she's not exactly new. Her albums been out for two years and how many awards has she won. And who the heck is Bjorn, John and whatever!!! Amy Winehouse should be Amy Whinehouse.

Chris, in my opinon, was the best part of the show! They were not interviewed nor were they asked to preform. They would have brought the house down!! Let's hope they folks at MTV wise up and start recognizing DAUGHTRY for what we know them as: ROCK STARS! I like Rhianna and all but she is not a "ROCK STAR", like she said before her preformance of "SHUT UP AND DRIVE" Nor are the SHOP BOYZ! They can party like "Rock Stars" alll they want! We know where the real talent is! Right here at DO! OK, I am going to get off my high horse now! I guess I should be grateful that they were even nominated. I hope the guys had fun in Vegas after all, that is what really counts, right?

Well, as all of you have said the VMA's were a big waste of time. I sat through it in hopes of seeing the guys but missed the two seconds they were on. I did see the pics of Chris and the guys on the MTV website. They did look great. They should have won. We know who rocks out hard--DAUGHTRY!! Hope the guys had fun anyway!

The VMA's was one of the worst I have seen in a long time. What the hell was Brit thinking? You can go to any freakin strip club and see her act. And...........she totally was NOT singing! She was lip syncing. What was up with all of those VIP parties? The party should have been at the ceremony.

The couple of glimpses they showed of Chris were great! He looks great on camera! He fits the lime light scene! Where were the other guys?

Where was he? I let my kids stay up late just to see him. I stayed til the bitter end hoping he would be on!! Did they replace him with Brittney? I think so because later on in the week they stopped announcing he would be on and went on and on about her. How very very disapointed we all were!

I was very sad that Daughtry didn't win, nor did they perform. I am a HUGE Brit fan also, but she didn't look quite comfortable on stage, Daughtry would have been awesome on stage!!

What is this world coming to? I wanted Chris to perform so bad so I could stop seeing girls in bikini's prancing around on stage with barley any clothes on. I was quite disappointed that Daughtry didn't perform!! The VMA's were simply ridiculous!

Yeah, my daughter and I watched it for Daughtry, saw Chris for like 2 seconds I was speechless he did indeed look VERY good!! I could not believe they didn't win, and the only two songs I thought were contenders besides Home were that Delilah song and Thanks for the Memories, and neither one of those won either!! My daughter was grouching because that "umbrella" video won, and she says while she likes the message of the song, the video has absolutely nothing to do with the song!! Oh well, we'll see what happens when the "true" music awards are on!!!

okay so the VMA's totally sucked last night!!!!!!!!!!! was so disappointed in all the performances, except for maybe chris brown,,, hahaha. and even then. i only happen to see chris (daughtry) once, when he was whistling for justin when he said that we need more videos! but thats it. kinda crappy but oh well..... i respect all artists, but that was one of the worst VMA's i have ever seen..

I was so looking foward to seeing them again myself, but people are saying they saw him in the audience. I didn't see him at all. The only other one that I cared to see at the VMA's was Carrie Underwood. Chris and Carrie were the 2 best people with any class nominated for anything on the show. Neither one of them won. I remember when MTV was all videos too. Or atleast mostly videos. Now it's nothing but a bunch of college soap operas. STUPID!!!!!!!! I thought B.E.T. was for the hip hop stuff anyways. We need a channel of nothing but rock. There is CMT for country. B.E.T. for the hip hop and r&b. And VH1 for the easy listening. " What About Us!!!!! "

Atleast we get to see them on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for a new cd. I wonder what it's gonna be like.

I usually don't watch most of these award shows, but since D A U G H T R Y was a nominee, and according to my understanding, D A U G H T R Y was going to perform, I watched the program. I'm with everyone else, what a waste of time!!!! I do believe I saw Chris and heard him whistle, but not sure. D A U G H T R Y should have opened the show, at least it would have gotten off to a better start!! Whoever put this show together needs to have his/her head examined!!! Even though this was a waste of time, be sure to watch David Letterman on the 12th and the Early Show on the 14th. At least this week won't be a total bust!!! D A U G H T R Y is classier than any of the people who won or performed!!!

Okay that sucked for me. I watched the whole VMA's thinking Chris was going to perform so it was a major let down to watch 2 hours to see a one second glimpse. I think I am getting old. It has been awhile since I saw the VMA's. The commercials drove me crazy every 2 minutes. I can't have MTV on at home when my kids are awake so I don't get to watch it much but if I do I never see music videos. I remember the day when I was 8 and MTV first came out. All you watched were videos. I am rambling, I know. But totally bummed.

Too much crap, not enough talent. Don't understand how they put that together.
They let Britney perform & not Daughtry? Makes no sense to me.

I did not see Chris and the band. The show was awful. Britney probably destroyed what was left of her career. Daughtry has more class than anything I saw on this show tonight. What a waste of time.
