i really really hope they start touring there eventually, i heard alot about elliots week and it seemed to make him even more popular.

hi! im from manila, philippines! the very first time i heard all the songs of daughtry i got inspired more! im a drummer here and i really love their music! i wish they would come here in manila and have a concert! there are two songs that i like first is gone then the other one is over you! inspiring lyrics and the way they arranged the songs is like almost perfect! i wish one day i could jam with you guys!

I'M A HUGE DAUGHTRY FAN!

I just exchanged YMs / chat on line and emailed my favorite djs and asked them for a feel of Daughtry in the country. In light of the recent slews of concerts here, I asked them how they think Daughtry will do here if he comes. The guy DJ said, "Duh! I think he can fill the Araneta Coliseum (thats our most popular venue here) it will be great!!" The the girl dj said " So yeah let them come, let them!!" (Joey and Miles, Magic 89.9)

Elliot's new single was boosted up after his mall tour, imagine what Daughtry's album will be like when we get to see him live!!!

Is there any way to petition the band to come??? Beyonce is coming on Novemeber, Justin still for comfirmation though.

And yeah squishy- Over You is doing just great here especially now that people are becoming familiar with Daughtry after Home.

Dani - So pleased that you've come along here to chat to us and tell us about yourself. Know just how you feel - I'm in New Zealand - and feel just like you - I could have written a lot of what you say myself. We hear Daughtry songs on the radio all the time, and I'm loving it, but would so love for them to come here. Yes, like you we've been getting other big acts here lately. And like you thinking of Daughry being just 3 hours away in Singapore, I'm thinking of them across the sea in Australia right now, though a bit more than 3 hours away, but at my nearest 'neighbours'.

g.mac - fantastic to have your join us here in supporting Daughtry because you've just heard the music and love it! So many people from round the world have been coming along to tell us just that. It's what Chris wants - for people to hear the music and love it, regardless of who's singing and playing!.

It's sooo good to hear how successful Daughtry is in different countries round the world.
Hope to hear heaps more from both of you here.

"Over You" is doing so well over there!!!

hey gmac, maybe we are rotating on different circles so i wont contradict what you said, but ill welcome and congratulate you for being a new fan, glad to meet you on this site!

The difference though with us is that I have been a long time fan and I watch with eagle eyes and i am constatntly vgilant of Daughtry's success that's why I know which songs are his and when exactly the album hit the Philippine shores. I got my album long before it did. And I remember the first time I heard Its Not Over on the radio because I almost screamed except I was on a train. I keep a tab on his every single and Im on the radio most of the time because I do a lot of travelling so I know how his songs are progressing at most of the stations.

So maybe there arent a lot of fans here as much as hmmm, older foreign band, ( icant think of one right now) but he is getting there. A lot of djs have only good things to say about the band and the man, I have a lot of friends who bought his album ( maybe because I kept promoting every chance I got ). Check out the daily countdowns at Magic and Rx for Over You- thats his 3rd single.

I am sure his concert here, if there will be any, will be a blast!

I am a Filipino and I am a recent addition to Daughtry's huge fan club. Honestly, Daughtry as a band is not at its peak of fame here in the Philipppines. If not for Limewire, I won't be able to know this band. Last week, I was just browsing on the recently most downloaded songs in Limewire and I happened to click the song "Over You". Since that moment, I have been a fan.

Before that momentous day, I really haven't heard anything about Chris or the band. It is not because I am not into music. Actually, I am a viewer of music channels in Philippine TV but they are not playing so much of Daughtry's singles. Aside from "Home" which I heard played on the radio a couple of times before and as background music in some TV shows, I am not aware of any of his other songs. That time, I just knew that song to be entitled "Home" from an anonynous artist and that's it.

But now I have discovered the band, I immediately got hooked. I basically memorized the lyrics of four of his songs in just a week's time and I have programmed my mp3 player to play only Daughtry songs. Sadly, still up to now, only a few knows the band and the temperature for a "Daughtry fever" hasn't started to build up. Hopefully, Filipinos would discover Daughtry and eventually get attached to the group the way I had been. From now on, I will be watching over the rise of Daughtry in the Philippines and I will be preparing for its invasion.

Im a Filipina and im in the country, and ive been a member of this site for awhile now but havent been really active coz i was usually over at a sister fan site which was around since Chris started at AI. I just saw this thread today and im so glad to know there are Filipinos who are Daughtry fans like me on this site.

Ok yes you're right, we are big time AI fans over here. Let me update you how Daughtry is in the Philippines. The first single Its Not Over hit the Top 10 of almost all radio stations all over Metro Manila. But Home took the cake I guess because of AI this last season, and well, we have to admit Filipinos are really a sentimental bunch. Home can be heard all day on the airwaves and enjoyed so much playtime-the acoustic and the usual version and hit No 1 too. Right now Over You is the number 1 song in Magic, 89.9, the hippest radio station in the Metro, amd is consistently on the TOp 5 of the other radio stations closely followed by Elliot Yamins new single.

When the Daughtry album was reviewed the first time on air, I was so ecstatic I had to keep muffling my giggles and covering my smiles. I was hiding earfones while I was in the middle of a conference, facing my laptop and sending YMs to the djs. hahaha, i tell you they got more input from me than all their researches combined-all because Daughtry fan sites are my favorite online hangouts! And yes, I do creep people out when I starty yapping about Chris in case you're wondering! So about the review, after playiong all the songs,the guy dj gave it a 4.5 and the girl gave him a 5 which is the perfect score. Nice, right?

I am a radio and ipod junkie so Im updated about these things ( must be why Im a little hard of hearing lately, hehe). Last night I was at the fall out boy concert and it was rocking! But I cant help envying the fans out there in Singapore instead-and thats what soured the whole evening for me, knowing that at the same time I was with FOB, Daughtry is just a 3hr fight away from me giving love and wowing Singapore!!!

Switchfoot was here a week ago ( I got mixed up about the dates so I wasnt able to come) and I'll be at Elliot Yamin's mall tour on Saturday. I cant help but wish and wonder when Daughtry is ever coming here!!! I am so tired of being green with envy about all the Daughtry sightings, hugs and pics with the rest of the lucky fans! I want to experience the same! Sniff, sniff!

I get so excited and so unbelievably happy whenever I hear people request a Daughtry song on air and you should hear me whoop everytime he gets to No1 in any countdown. So yeah, Daughtry is doing great here and I would really like to let them know THAT and that they- Daughtry should come here and experience Filipino hospitality and the great beaches and sights we have to offer! Not to say, how many crazy fans they've got here!!! INXs after Rockstar enjoyed a good number of audience here( they had a concert here last year), so much more for Daughtry.

If Fall Out Boy rocked the whole Coliseum last night, I bet Daughtry will kill and spare none. Anybody here can help me convince the guys to drop by here and make a lot of us superlatively happy????? Pretty please??
