DAUGHTRY AND HIS GRUFFED UP MOB , UK ARTICLE.
This is fun read.
I like thinking of JP, Josh , Joey and Brian as the Gruffed Up Mob! hahaha. Of course I am thinking of as a term of endearment befitting 4 cool rocker boys . So I hope that is how it was intended.
The writer is being a bit left handed with some of the compliments. But the compliments are there in an undeniably true way.
It's so typical of critics and music writers to only give a new band minimal comps..no matter how good they are. I've read articles about Nickelback and Creed and others that were similar when they first hit the rock scene. It just takes time .

...the way the author says 'wily ol' dog'
I think that they were basically saying that Daughtry are better than Nickelback and Creed which is an amazing compliment!
I like the article- it's definitely British humour!

For the link. It was fun to read. I liked his writing style but yes, he did load it up with lots of descriptives but over all, it was a good review. That is exciting. Last year at this time, I am sure Chris never thought he would be scanning the globe with so much success. How wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

COLO. DAUGHTRY GIRL
Yeh, overall it was a good review, and complimentary!
Just going a long way round to describe them and say it!
Think the writer wanted to add as many words and descriptions as he can - and has gone a bit overboard!
But yes, when you actually read what's said, he is saying good things about Chris and the album!
Thanks for putting it here Jellybean!
Good to read - one of the first reviews for the UK.
It's like..what more do you want them to do for god sakes ?? haha
Cheers

it will be interesting to see the critics review of their next album. Seeing that this one is the biggest selling album of 2007......hummmm ...wonder what they are looking for???
