Good Daughtry day!
Good 'Daughtry' day today.
Had the radio on and 'Home' was played.
So then changed over to another station because I knew there'd be no more Daughtry on that one for a while, and a few minutes later 'Over You' was played.
Then went out, put a 3rd station on in the car and 'Over You' had just started.
That's 3 Daughtry songs in about 15 mins.
Got home and 'It's not over' was played on the first station I'd had on.
Now have come here and saw this fantastic new International thread - and now 'Home's playing on the radio!
And it's only half way through the day! Talk about 'be careful what you wish for, cause you might just get it all' - it is all happening to day!

Good Daughtry day again. Love that 'Home' won the People's Choice Award. So is the best.
Love that I actually helped it to win by being able to vote.
I sent info to main raido stations here in NZ, with link to results.
ZM just played part of Chris's acceptance speech, (along with JT's) and said they've put a link to results on their web-site.
Great that they played it though, so everyone else could hear it.
Also their site said they'd just played 'Feels like tonight' (as I'd requested, but somehow I'd missed it.

Been listening out on this radio station ever since I got the e-mail - and finally just heard 'Feels Like tonight' played!
Was soooo excited!
Just e-mailed the radio station to thank them and tell them how I love it and asking them to play it often. Telling them thanks to Mark too for getting them a new listener - because I've discovered I actually like this radio station and have become a regular listener!!

Haha - found out who it is! He used to work on the show that I won the CD's from that time, though not the main announcer. Said he remembers I was always sending messages to the studio asking for Daughtry and that I said how impressed I was they were playing it before the other stations were. Thought the name was familiar!
Didn't tell him though that I don't listen to the radio at night when he's on, so I won't be listening to his show.
Now he's moved to one of the other stations and is going to be playing the new Daughtry he says - and I guess he does mean 'Over You'. That's good though.
Told him I'll make an effort to listen, just because he's bothered to tell me!.
Thought it was a bit too soon for 'Feels like tonight' .
Wish I could watch that programme Sanmiguel! Is there a link to it?

Cause the guys were on THE SAUCE and they did say that they had a 36 hour shoot for feels like tonight.... but who knows maybe it is feels like tonight... I guess I did not help at all

Had an e-mail from a radio announcer - that I didn't know, telling me to listen to his new show and that he'll be playing the new Daughtry song from the end of this week!
Wondering how he knew I was a Daughtry fan as he's new, so I wouldn't have contacted him - I'm sure!
Surely not yet. Asked and waiting to hear!
And what 'new ' song is it. I mean 'Over you' has been played by all the stations - including his one for some time. Can it be 'Feels like tonight!! !!!!

It's is great that Daughtry has been able to travel abroad and allow the rest of his fans to see him! This band has truly been blessed it a short time. Can't wait for more videos and albums!

'Over You' up to 26 in the official NZ singles chart.
Was 34 last week!
Didn't realise 'INO' was released there that long ago - and that it was successful!
Definately about time you heard 'Home' then - and surprising you aren't hearing it!

Need to all target the same ones, so that more requests go in - rather than all doing different ones!

Its not over was released in April & got heaps of airplay, made the top 20. Home was released last month but I haven't heard it once on radio yet! grrrrrr..........hopefully they'll read my emails & start playing it soon.
Sounds like Daughtry are doing great in NZ. They should definitely tour there soon!
Well, I do send requests and messages to radio studios a lot! Guess that's why some have phoned me - because they've got to know I'm a Daughtry fan.
Thing is, once the music gets to be heard enough, others hear it and request it themselves!
The more you you do it - it must make them realise that people want to hear the music.
Especially if it comes from different people!
Do you get the same radio stations across the country? Be good to target the same ones!
Though I don't for a minute think that me asking them to play the songs has been the reason for the success of them here.
But do like to think that my little bit has helped.
If you keep requesting, at least you feel like you're doing something to help to get Daughtyry heard in your country!!
Wouldn't expect for you to get 'Home' or 'Over you' yet though, not if 'It's not over' has not long been released.. Each here has been released one at at time as in the US. Each one having a run of a few months before bringing the next one out.. Enjoy one at a time.

Heard 'Over You' on another radio station for the first time! The one that's had 'Home' in the top 5 of their air-play list for ages - and was 6 still last week.!
So exciting they've moved on to 'Over You'!
Had visitors and stopped mid-conversation when I heard it, realised what station I had on - and told them "This is More', they're playing it on More now".
Don't think anyone really cared. Just got told ''They play Daughtry on all the radio stations all the time now, even Classic Rock!"
Daughtry have become 'Classics' now!
So been busy sending messages to that radio station to say how excited I am and can they please play it often!
Just glancing down the new charts out today - and there was 'Over You' at number 34 in the singles chart!
'Daughtry' still in the album charts- down to number 39, but it shows people are still buying it 6 months after it was released here.
'Daughtry' the album back in the NZ top 40 chart sales at 36. Was in for 14 weeks, but dropped out until it's back this week!
Maybe because of 'Over You' being heard.
I am from the us but im so happy more of the world gets to hear him!!!

Wow - so exciting!
Just heard Chris talking on the radio - introducing his new song 'Over You'. That was so awesome - hearing his voice!
Doesn't usually happen here.
Will definately be listening to that station even more now! The station being The Ege who sent me the CD's!
3 Daughtry songs in 20 mins on the radio!
Got into the car today and 'Over You' was playing on the radio. When it finished changed to another station and it was just starting to play there. When it finished again, changed to a third station and about 10 mins later, 'Home' was played.
Good start to the day!
Love to squishy - but wrong country! Aussie is across the sea. Need to win Lotto in the next week or two!

This week on More FM, 'Home' was played at number 4 on the highest air-play top 40 of the week! Down from spending 2 weeks at number one, one at 2 and one at 3.
Never usually done - 'It's not over' was played straight after 'Home'.
Then the announcer spoke about Chris and his successes. Saying he left Idol at number 4 - and who was the winner that year?
That he's toured just about non-stop since then and that he's performed to more people than the entire population of New Zealand!
You'll just love hearing the whole album when you get it - and will likely play it non-stop like the rest of us. Every single track is really good, not one that's not!
I know I played it all the time for a very long time. But now back to listening to the radio in between - hoping to hear Daughtry songs played.
It's different when they've played on the radio. People who aren't Daughtry fans can't seem to understand that.
Funny everyone is talking about hearing the album in public or on radio.
We drive a mitsubishi delica BIG van we havent had it that long, (we have 5 kids) because its an imported vehicle we can only get am stations. Hell its killing me not being able to listen to real good rock music (daughtry) nickleback, hinder just to name a few. So i often listen to it on our top 40 on the net, that is until i purchase it (thatll be real soon). Cant wait !

When I bought the album I had a good chat with the guy at the counter, of course he hadnt heard of them, so he got the full history of the band, Im sure he thought I was nuts!! LMAO!!
I havent heard it in public at all yet, Oooooo can;t wait for that, but I know I will be bursting to tell someone!!! LOL!

Funny when you're out in public and it plays - cause you get excited and want to turn round and tell everyone and no-one else is taking any notice!
Once I was in a store that was playing the whole album in their music department, I was hanging round to listen (even though I had it on and had been playing it in the car just outside) and was looking at everyone to see if they were listing, and just had to go up to the shop assistant to tell how much I loved the music they were playing, and she didn't even know who it was - so I told her all about it!

Know here when INO was first being played, I spoke about Chris Daughtry to people and they didn't know who he was, but when they heard INO and I said that's Chris, they all said how they'd heard that song and really liked it, but didn't know who it was.
I love the fact that it's still being played on the radio. Not passed over now there's newer ones out.
