I am a fan (and you should be too), because...

Through the business of our lives we must take time to reflect on what is important and what makes us happy. Being a 28-year-old wife, mother, and elementary teacher, I find myself caught up in the business of life. My family is what is most important in my life. Along with my family, I enjoy listening to music. Music is a way for me to release from my busy, daily routines. Music evokes an emotional response in me, and I turn to music for solace and comfort. Music is the one form of communication of emotion. The beauty of music is that no matter who we are, what we have, what we have or have not done it connects to us all in certain ways. This is what DAUGHTRYS music does to me. Each song has a different meaning and emotion. I have had the CD in my player ever since I bought it! My 4-year old daughter knows almost all the words to the songs!

There are many reasons I am a DAUGHTRY fan:
The first reason is Chris Daughtry--what a sexy, talented, and appreciative family man! I have been a fan of Chris Daughtry since the first day he appeared on American Idol. I knew he would be the winner, and I voted for him each week. He maintained his style each week and worked extremely hard on his songs to make them his own. He has created his own musical identity with the band, DAUGHTRY. I respect Chris because I believe that if you do not give up, you can reach your goals. You will land among the stars if you try your best and continue to not give up. Being a part of Absent Element and various contests, such as American Idol, has shown that Chris does not give up on his dreams. I am honored to have Chris as an American Idol. Our society needs musicians that deliver positive messages to children. He delivers a positive message to others that it is ok to have dreams, follow those dreams, and remain strong in the process.

Another reason I am a fan of DAUGHTRY is all the members of Daughtry are fantastic artists. They create and perform art. This quote by Henry James hits home when I think of DAUGHTRY. It is art that makes life, makes interest, makes importance, and I know of no substitute for the force and beauty of its process. DAUGHTRYS song lyrics are thought provoking and passionate. The lyrics touch my emotions in many different ways, and I feel an undeniable connection. The bands sound is a sensational experience, and Chris Daughtry's voice is powerful, affectionate, and heart-warming. DAUGHTRYS performances connect with the audience because they are electrifying and powerful.

In addition, Chris also shows he is loyal and has an interest and respect for his fans. It is such a great feeling to see that you are cared about as a fan. Chris has taken time out of his busy schedule to post video blogs, comments, and updates to his fans. The guys have taken time to post blogs/videos on the site for fans to be updated regularly with the latest news and information. I think it is so wonderful for the band to think of the fans while they are on tour.
