I am a fan (and you should be too), because...

Ok, maybe I need to say a bit more. It's just hard to put into words why I'm a fan. The obvious reason is his talent and his amazing, unique voice. And as my mom puts it, "he's not hard on the eyes either". But there is so much more to Chris and the band than that. His soul......despite being thrown full force into the limelight, he continues to remember his fans and does what he can to help them. His heart......his main reason for doing this (besides his love of music) is to make things better for his family, which is unfortunately like a double edged sword, his family is the thing he misses the most. When he talks about his wife and kids, his eyes light up like nothing else. He remains true to himself, which will keep his fans around for a long time.
I've been a fan since Chris walked thru that door on AI. I was like, "Holy crap, a rocker!" From that moment, he had my mother and I's undivided attention and support. My mom is wheelchair bound, so I try to spend as much time as possible with her. Our favorite thing was waiting for Chris to come on every week. When Chris got the boot, we about died (I could said another word, but, I'll refrain due to the youngins). We refused to watch any show completely after that (recording the last show and fast forwarding until we got to Chris). So, we've been long time fans and we plan on staying that way. If there was some way that I could get my mom to see you, it would be great. My mom may be 68, but she's a young 68 despite the wheelchair (hey, how many 68 year olds do you know who tend to favor hair bands??). She's my inspiration for being so strong. I'm not sure if I could be that way in her situation, but I leave all of that up to my faith.
Ok, so I'm done rambling (honest). If I could win two VIP tickets for the Pittsburgh show and be able to safely get my mom there, it would mean the world to me. If I don't win or if I'm not able to get her safely there, then it wasn't meant to be. Thanks for the opportunity. So, I will leave it at that for now.
Anyone who isn't a Daughtry fan is that way because they haven't stopped to just "listen" to Daughtry.
