I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...Chris is the ONLY reason I watched American Idol for the FIRST time. I have never watched any other season because I didn't believe that American Idol was the way to "make it" in the music industry. I thought it was cheating the system. Quite frankly, it irritated me! And so didn't the judges! But then one day, I was flipping through the channels & saw Chris on American Idol. I had to stop & watch, for one thing because he reminded me of my husband. Then as I listened I was in awe with how well he sang & I was a fan ever since. And I guess I feel differently about American Idol too, although I believe Chris could have made it without them. And boy, did he show them!! If AI is what it took for the world to love Chris Daughtry sooner than later than so be it!! Chris is a very powerful & talented performer & I wish him the best with his new found rock star status!!
8/28/08 - Why I am a Fan part 2.......now that I've been a member of this site for over a year, I felt the need to update my reasons! Chris was the initial obvious reason but now I want to give major kudos to the rest of the guys! Steely, JP, Joey & Brian are amazingly talented musicians & Daughtry wouldn't be complete without these 4 guys. They have an extraordinary chemistry. Daughtry has come a long way & they will continue to be successful not only because of their incredible talent but also for their great attitudes & their dedication to their fans. I've met many fans on this site that I can truly call my dear friends. The world needed DAUGHTRY! I've loved many bands over the years but I haven't loved one this much since the ROLLING STONES & we all know the time gap there!! So thank you DAUGHTRY for doing what you do!!! LOVE YOU GUYS!!
