I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...they are simply amazing! Chris has the most intriguing voice I have ever heard. When my sister and I would watch American Idol, we would rate how good everybody was by whether or not they gave us goosebumps when they sang. Nobody ever gave me goosebumps like Chris Daughtry, and I am pretty certain that nobody ever will again!!!!!!
I am now not only a huge fan of Chris Daughtry, but also a fan of the entire band. They just keep the goosebumps coming! I can honestly say that since my teenage years I have never really followed or been a huge fan of any band until Daughtry came along. I just can't seem to get enough Daughtry - the CD rarely leaves my CD player (my 5 year old even asks for Daughtry), I am pretty much a DO junkie, and I've been trying to get to all of their shows in my area! My current plans include the Allentown, PA and York, PA shows which are both only weeks before the October 8th due date of my second child.
My dream was to meet the guys, and it finally happened. I won VIP tickets to the March 2 Philadelphia show. It was such an incredible experience that I will never forget. Just a few minutes before Daughtry was supposed to come out, a guy from their crew (I was too busy being in shock and not breathing to get his name) came and got us from our seats and took us to a platform right beside the stage where we got to stand for Daughtry's whole set. We were literally 2 or 3 feet from Steely!!!! Amazing!!!!! Then they took us back stage to meet the guys. We got to shake everybody's hand, got pictures, and Chris, Josh and JP took time to chat with us and sign our CDs afterward. A big thank you to the guys for being so wonderful to their fans and to RCA and everybody at Daughtry Official for making the VIP packages possible. Like I said, I will never forget such an incredible experince.
I am a fan for life. I sincerely feel sorry for those folks out there who don't like or don't listen to Daughtry - they have no idea what they are missing!
Chris, Joey, Brian, Josh and JP...thanks for all that you do. We love you guys!
