I had the best time ever at the Daughtry concert I met Chris while he was hanging out on Granville street during the day I met new friends while waiting in the line-up to get in - i couldn't ask for anything better

The beginning

Met Hollie and her friend Amy in the line up. So cool to meet them and hang out with them. They rock! Woohoo! And met other DO girls too. Naina and Jess. Naina was standing beside me during the show. Such a nice girl.

Two members of the opening band, Small Town Sleeper walked passed the line up (Dann Burd- Drummer and Will Greider –Bass Someone yelled… “What are you?” Haha- too funny. They laughed and said they were members of the opening band “Small Town Sleeper. I said…”oh I saw you on u-tube. You guys rock!” Then the Drummer –Dann screamed a silly fan scream and came towards me and high fived me. Then I did the same silly fan silly scream back and high fived him and Will.

The next thing that happened was too AWESOME! Hollie and I decided to go see if the tour bus was in the alley and as we rounded the corner Chris, Joey, Steely and Brian were walking straight towards us! We looked at each other and froze completely star struck. All we managed to get out was a goofy hi and a giggle. LOL They were nice and smile and said hi and walked by us as we stood there in awe and shock.

Inside

So we finally get inside. Man! Daughtry fans are the nicest peeps but they’re Crwaaazy. (including me) lol. We were one of the first few inside the door and we had to run up the stairs and run across the room to the stage to get a spot. LOL But we got right in front. Phew! YEAH!

The show

Small Town Sleeper was awesome. Really cool sound. Troy has a beautiful sexy voice and the band rocks! I was truly impressed. Bought their CD after. You can check them out at their my space. Go to www.smalltownsleeper.com to hear their tunes. Not surpised at all that Chris wanted them to open for them . I took some pics of them but they didnt turn out very good.

Main Event.

Wow. Chris opened with Crashed. He really rocked the house down. I was so in awe standing so close. His voice was perfect, and he is so hot in person. And the guys rocked. I was standing right in front of Brian. Such a cutie and soo cool to see live whipping his long hair around. Got the best pics of him cuz he was so close. I vowed to buy a better camera. Most of my pics did not turn out as good. :0(

The highlights of my fan experience

Chris was singing and came right to where I was standing, Looked right at me at, smiled and reached out and squeezed my hand. OMG! I was so thrilled..as you can imagine.Thank god I had the railing to hang on to .haha

After the last song he came over again to where I was standing and jumped up on this platform in front of the railing and I got my arms around his waist (squeeele) and then he squeezed both my hands in his before leaving. (double sqeeeele)

It was amazing from start to finish. I love his CD but hearing him live…as most of you know already, is a heart pounding, incredible experience. WOW!

After the show , Hollie and Amy and I we were walking around and ran into 3 members of Small Town Sleeper. Troy (lead singer) Will (Bass) , and Dann (Drummer) . We yelled ...hey you guys were awesome and they came up and hugged us, chatted and laughed with us. We got to take some pics with them and they were so nice and autographed our CD’s. Really cool bunch of guys.

I have not come back to earth yet. It was the best rock experience I ever had. The only thing that would have made the night better was if JP was there. Really bummed I missed out on seeing him live. Hopefully one day!

Thanks to Hollie for sharing the great pics of us with Small Town Sleeper and the one she got of the Daughtry boys walking towards us. Wohooo!!

Hey guys....Just wanted to say thanks for taking Small Town Sleeper with you to Canada!!! Have a great show tonight!!!! Wish I could be there!

The opening band is Small Town Sleeper - they were added a couple weeks ago. They've opened for Daughtry for about ten dates or so and their MySpace page fills up with new fans after every show. They are awesome!! Touring with Daughtry has been so successful for them that their upcoming CD (not due out until Winter) has been preleased on iTunes - check 'em out!

WOW....I just found out that I'm going to see Daughtry on Sunday in Vancouver!! My girlfriend and my husband have been holding out on me as I knew the show was sold out, but they secretly had tickets and are taking me to the concert for my birthday!!! If there is a VIP, winning it would be the best birthday present ever!!!!! A dream come true.....See you on Sunday!

Seeing these guys live and being able to meet them would be amazing!

THREE MORE DAYS BEFORE WE LEAVE FOR CALGARY!!! I'm SO happy that at least I'm going to see DAUGHTRY in Calgary. DAUGHTRY with Nickelback? It doesn't get much better than that!! My 14 yr old daughter, who is going with me, is also REALLY excited. She's hoping to get some autographs, too.

Jellybean, if you see this, I sent you a private message. I may be able to make your day, hun. I have to fly to Atlanta, GA to be with my Mother as she is very shortly about to undergo major surgery. My Mom has other serious health issues that have me very concerned about her undergoing any type of surgery and I really want to visit her before she has to go into the hospital. The earliest flight I could get with airmiles was August 16 - August 28; therefore, I won't be back in Vancouver in time for the concert. I only have ONE ticket to the show since I had planned to go alone and I had hoped to meet up with some friends there.

You have NO idea how disappointed I am to be missing this concert, but if I can make another Vancouver fan happy, then that would be a good thing. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing the one ticket and we can make arrangements to meet somewhere to make the exchange. I'm not looking to profit from the ticket, but if it's alright by you, I'd really like to recover the full cost of what I had to pay for the ticket.

To the guys: I'm really sorry that I will have to now miss this concert that I had looked forward to for so long. Vancouver is my hometown and for me to see you guys playing here was a dream come true. I'm disappointed but I must be with my Mom, as she needs me now.

Thankfully, I have already made all the arrangements to see you with Nickelback in Calgary and I'm very excited about that.
