Well, what can I say. The music was awesome, but the whole VIP and concert experience left a lot to be desired. The VIP meet & greet was disappointing to say the least. We drove 2 1/2 hours to get there, were there 15 minutes early and spent the next hour standing outside waiting for the band to be ready. We went into the sound check, which was cool, and then had our meet and greet, which was not. We were told no individual pictures of any of the guys, but we would take a group picture. So Chris and the guys come out and sit behind a table, we get literary 30 seconds to to walk down the table saying hello to the band and then out the door the shoved us. No group picture, not even a personalized autograph. I realize Chris is being worked ALOT, but he was so cold during our 10 seconds of face time that I was truly shocked. He said "how ya doin" while looking at someone across the room and then signed my book and pushed it down to the next guy. All the wind got sucked out of my sails my the whole meet & greet. I was suddenly thinking maybe the drive wasn't worth it. I didn't expect more time, just that he would at least pretend to be friendly.
We went and grabbed some dinner and got back to Jesters to stand in line for about 90 minutes until they open the doors. We then spend the next 6 hours standing like cattle all shoved together. You could barely move and getting a drink meant losing your precious 8 inches of floor space.
The band sounded great, but the whole experience gets a thumbs down.
