I am a fan (and you should be too), because...There have been few artists who have truly captured my heart and my soul the way Chris Daughtry has. As a rock and roller from way back, I have long been a fan of the harder rock genre and the artists associated with that genre. From the moment I saw Chris' audition on AI, I knew that this was a young man who could and would turn the world on its collective ear with his voice, with his presence. His simple approach to his art, his love and devotion to his family and to his dream, his smile, his demeanor, and notwithstanding, THAT VOICE!!! all came together for me, making me a fan forever. Last August, I overcame a fear of flying, having not been on an airplane for 35 years, when at the invitation of my new internet friend, Elyse, I traveled to Indiana to see Chris perform with the Idols at the Indianapolis State Fair. Elyse and I were fortunate to not just see an amazing performance, but to also meet this kind, sweet and gentle man who has now become so much a part of our lives and our love. I will never forget his kindness to us and to all of the fans he has met on this, his journey to the stars and beyond. I anxiously anticipated the release of his album and was not a bit surprised to find that the album, Daughtry, is an incredible presentation of music. The songs are well-chosen, the production is tight and even, and THAT VOICE!!! leaves me speechless, breathless and thoroughly THOROUGHLY delighted. I can see nothing for Chris and his band in the future but more and more accolades, soaring popularity, and only the best life has to offer. He has brought joy and wonderment to his fans and we are grateful always. Life is good. We are blessed. Thank you.
