If, by chance, you were wondering how you might send a special birthday wish to your favorite guitar player, then I have just the blog for you. Come on in.

Myself and 4 other enterprising DO members have decided to organize birthday projects for each member of the band. I am heading up the project for Josh Steely. This will be a work in progress, so the plan may change slightly according to the response received. As it stands now, the plan is to make a notebook (or notebooks) filled with pages of "Happy Birthday" wishes from DO members. Guidelines, mailing address and an ongoing list of DO members that I have received pages from can be found below.

Guidelines and Suggestions:

Keep your submission to one 8.5"x11" page. You can use the front and the back of the page. Use whatever kind of paper you wish, but keep it 2-dimensional (feel free to use photos). I am getting a box big enough that you will not have to fold your page.

Keep it clean...nothing off-color or anywhere near resembling porn, no propositions of any sort, no pictures of naked chicks popping out of birthday cakes. I will trash something that I think is inappropriate.

Keep it positive and confined to birthday wishes. This is not a general scrapbook or a way to request a tour stop or give your ideas for the next video or whatever.

If you want to include a picture of yourself or whoever holding a sign that says "Happy Birthday Chris", please do so. I am considering using pictures to decorate the front of the book.

Include your DO member name and an e-mail address with your page (not on it, unless you just want to).

The deadline for all submissions is AUGUST 1ST, nearly one month before Josh's birthday. Please don't wait until the last minute. Go ahead and do it now.

If you would like to donate a few bucks to go toward the cost of the p.o. box ($50 for 6 months)and supplies, it would be greatly appreciated. If I receive more than enough for the basic stuff, I will take suggestions for a gift to be included with the notebook.
