I am the LUCKIEST girl

I am so lucky because I was able to see Daughtry in Birmingham and in Memphis. Both concerts were outstanding! A friend of mine went with me to both shows. The Birmingham concert was out of this world. The crowd was so large and every one was singing every word. We were about the fifth row back and the view was amazing but my cell phone didn't take great pictures. It was surreal to be that close and to see Chris sing. The only small problem was this very nice guy in front of us was tall and it was hard to see around him. But we still got water thrown on us. We were on cloud nine when we left.
The trip to Memphis was also fun. We took Tuesday and Wednesday off from work and had a great time driving, listing to music and recalling the show from two weeks earlier. Wendy had listened to the cd but didn’t know all the words but by the time we got to Memphis she knew every verse. We got to our hotel, changed clothes and went to Newbys. We arrived there at 4:30 and they opened the doors at 8:00. We were standing right next to the bus. Different members of each band would walk by and take pictures with the fans. I could not bring myself to ask, which I regret now. We had a better camera but we ended up standing behind another tall man or should I say tree. Chris announced he still had a cold. But you couldn’t tell because he was still amazing. We loved Cinder Road and were excited to see they were still touring with Daughtry.
Daughtry is coming back to Alabama June 8th to the Riverfest in Gadsden. We will be there rocking our hearts out. There will also be a different game plan, find the shortest people and stand behind them.
I see another road trip in the future. Don’t know when or where but hopefully Cinder Road will be them. Wendy is smitten with the drummer Mac. I’m just crazy about Daughtry. I haven’t been this excited about anything in a long time. Daughtry hasn’t completely changed my life but they sure have made it a lot more fun.
