It was suffocating in the pit, but joey's shirtless performance brought the real heat ! Great show

I was up in the stands, but the show still rocked. I have been a fan of Daughtry since American Idol. I stopped watching the show once he left, and will never watch it again. It was super hot, but Daughtry made it all worth it. It was my first concert, and it was absolutely amazing. The energy the band has and the love for their music and fans is so apparent in their performance and music. Please come back to the area really soon. You have a lifetime fan here, and I will come to every concert in the area. Keep it up guys!!!!

OMG!!!! I am sooooo freaking pumped about the Springfield show last nite!! I had the best night of my life!! Front row, center stage , close enough to touch Chris (if only !!) - how can it get any better??!! All of u guyz rocked!!!! Waiting in line with my best friend Cheyenne & Alyssa was an added bonus!! The almost 12 hour wait in the 100+ degree weather was worth every minute! I swear!! It was also nice to meet some D.O. members! Michelle & Terri - hope u all had as much fun as we did!!!! N E Wayz - Thanks Daughtry for the best nite, great music, and most excellent eye candy EVER!!!!! I cannot wait to do it again!!

I took my twin 8 year olds and my 16 year old daughter to this concert and it was the all time "hottest" show I've seen yet. I've been to 3 shows (this one being the hottest in every way) but it was my boys' 1st concert....now they want to be rock stars...gotta love it. Thanks for being so inspiring.

omg! i went to the daughtry concert last nite and it was amazing. it was really hot but it was completely worth it! i def. want to do it again. i sat in the stands but it was still great. keep up your good work guys! I LOVE YOU!!

We got there a little before 8am but it was so worth it! I got worried a few times about my daughter, thank God we had her wheelchair or she wouldn't have made it.

First,...would love to thank my friends for helping me so much yesterday with my little girl Alyssa. They let me take her in out of the heat and held our place in line. They helped me barricade her from the crowd to keep her safe and I can't thank them enough for helping watch over my little girl!

Second.....the State Police and the staff at the fair were amazing to her!!!!! I don't have long to go into detail, but just know they treated her soo good.

Third......Daughtry was absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was our first time being up front and I cannot thank the guys enough....especially Joey and JP for interacting so much with my little girl!!!!! The smiles, winks and all those things made her night. Mr. Barnes....you bringing her a drumstick was something she's talked about all day long! It meant so much to her and she loves you....we all do!

Daughtry was amazing.....they have such energy and bring so much to a show! It was so great to hear songs we hadn't heard at the other concert!

Thank you to each of you who played a part in making my little girl's night!!!!! We loveeeeeeeee you all!!!!!!!!

To all those who passed out...I am so sorry that it happened to you. The heat was horrible. I hope you all are feeling better today and you are in our prayers!

Thank you ever so much for putting on a kickass show Chris and band. The heat was really getting to me standing there while the opener's sang, and then you came on and took all the pain away. Not joking! What a great show ya'll put on. Driving all the way from Chicago was well worth it! You guy's must have been dying up there under the lights, too bad that shirt didn't come off Chris! I especially enjoyed the water spray's. And THANK YOU for opening with Crashed! Best song on the album!!!!

Numerous times you Chris mentioned we were loud. Now were we the loudest crowd to date? My group off the right side of the stage were the non-stop screamers. Not being able to talk today suits me fine too. I can't wait till Daughtry is back in town! Hurry to Chicago!

GREAT show, except, well... except the fact that I passed out/fainted due to heat and lack of oxygen/water during the set up of Daughtry's band, right after 12 stones had already gone. Yeah, I'm the girl that fell unconscious. So if anyone has pictures/video of me unconscious... or video of Chris Daughtry saying something about someone fainting/passing out (I know he did, I had just been re-seated in the wheelchair area), then I'd love you forever! lol. It was a wonderful show though, I'd do it all over again, including the passing out part. That's saying something.

The song they sang by AIC is called "Nutshell" . It's on the "Jar of Flies" album - GREAT song!

In spite that Springfield had a heat index of 112 yesterday the Daughtry concert went on. This was an early birthday present from my sister and was I ever so excited! I had not been to a concert since I was 16 and when I saw Daughtry was coming to our State Fair I had to go!
I have to say I have not been so impressed with such great musical talent from a band in a long time. What impressed me most is to see a performer who has an incredible talent and can actually sing!
Thank you, for the great show!! It must have been 200 degrees on that stage but Daughtry and the boys gave it their all.

I knew when we were watching AI, that someday I would go to this man's concerts. Despite the heat, the band did an awesome job! After seeing them in St. Louis, I was really impressed at how personable and fun they have become! Even the roadies kept us entertained during the fireworks! I just wish it would have been cooler, so that we could have heard more and stayed longer. Already can't wait for the next show!

AMAZING SHOW!

FINALLY...my kids got to go to a DAUGHTRY show...and they can't stop talking about it! The fair organizers, the state police, the volunteers...EVERYONE involved in the show and the fair made this VERY HOT day very FUN. Did I mention it was HOT??? lol OMG. I was pouring sweat just trying to get earplugs in my kids ears! It was hilarious...sort of.
Anyway...I cannot say enough about the state police who provided crowd control in front. They were sooo nice...and even let our kids over the barricade to come out of the crowd and watch the show in the front! Best seats in the house. And, it saved me...since I held my little one 2/3 of the time! Truly, this was a once in a lifetime experience for them -- one they will never forget!

Daughtry fans...DO girls...equally as amazing! Thank you for being so great to me and my kids! I truly appreciate it!

JP -- you rocked the ENTIRE STAGE! Thanks for coming to the Steely side to spread the love! Your energy is contagious! We love you!

Despite the heat Daughtry put on a fabulous show with lots of energy. We drove in from STL and were in line at Noon and it was well worth it! Hope everyone had as good of a time as I did. Kudos to the fair organizers for providing us diehards with the ice and drinks! Keep on rockin!

We drove 5 hrs from South Bend, Indiana and stood in line for standing room only for 2hrs then waited for what felt like forever to hear that sexy voice. I had a great time and can't wait to go to another concert. The heat was well worth the wait. You guys rock!!! Hope to see you soon. My only disappointment of the concert was the t-shirts. I was hoping for a shirt with a picture of you and or the band and nothing what's up with that. I thought the shirts would be different for the web site. Plus no pics of you and the band. Hope you can change that for the future. Love you guys.

Not sure if you have chosen a winner or not. But when I found out that I could actually get a girls night out, tickets were gone. It is really hard for a mom to find a sitter for five kids. Oh well, now I have and I can't go. Unless, you have not chosen a winner and you pick me. I need a night out. It has been a loooooonnnnnnnngggggg time. I am so jealous of all that got tickets.

Only a few days and I finally get to see Chris live in concert once again! I saw him on the Idol tour last year in Peoria. He only got to sing a few songs then. Now him and his band will be the stars of the show. It will be all him, finally and so well deserved!!

I have loved Daughtry since I heard the first song. Of course, we followed Chris on Idol. My 4 year old son knows all the words to all the songs and my 17 month old daughter dances everytime she hears them. You guys are awesome! Can't wait to see you. Hopefully I'll get a picture to show my son. It will make him so happy. It's nice to be able to let kids listen to rock that is clean yet so good. I am so glad you made it. I would love to meet you because you are an inspiration to all musician's. Perseverence pays off.
