Hey all - I was in Sioux Falls for the show and loved it! I have a question - I always have problems taking pics at night concerts with my digital camera - so I had a film camera too and I just got my pictures developed and back yesterday and well my camera must have been acting up because they all didn't turn out It is really sad! I knew he came close for some good shots! So would anyone be willing to email me some pictures. I love to scrapbook and I have done pages for all my concerts and would love some for my first Daughtry concert. If you don't mind - please email me if you can or have any questions. Thank you!

That concert was such a blast! I lost my voice from screaming so much but it was well worth it. I am beyond happy to have had the chance to see you live. You guys put on an amazing show! Please come back to Sioux Falls soon!!!!!

faterayI have been a fan since the first audition of AI.12 of us drove 5 hours from MN to see the show. It was totaly worth the drive. This was the best concert I have ever been to so far! I could understand every word you sang, every word you said and the light show was great. I was incredibly amazed at the great turn out of eveyone there. I don't know if there was a place to by things. I would've like a T-shirt. I wish we could've had a beer with the band too but the beer could've been colder!

This is my 3rd time seeing you in concert now and I have to say that SF was the best so far. Considering how long you have been touring now, it's amazing and refreshing to see you give it your all night after night. You and your band are an inspiration...keep rockin!!!

I got in line at 3PM. It was 90+ degrees, hot, humid and there was no wind. My hair went up into the pony tail soon after! So much for diva hair in the pics later! The wait wasn’t bad and was made much better by DAUGHTRY’s preconcert warmup! Clearly the guys were hot too because they were all shirtless. By standing on a transformer box and peering over the fence I could see really well! Woot Woot!!

Warm-up set included full versions of “Crashed”, “Gone” and “Breakdown”. I forgot about the heat for awhile as I watched their glistening bodies and fortunately snapped a few pics too!! Thankfully security was slow on the arrival and didn’t make us all get down until the guys were almost done with their warm-ups! I positioned myself at the break in the fence and gate and got Joey, Chris and Josh Paul as they walked back to the bus!!

Gates opened shortly before 7PM. I rushed to the stage and ended up 2nd row on Josh Steely’s side. Opening band was The Toby Kane Band. These guys were an odd group. Mostly middle aged men. They did their best to warm up the crowd, but frankly I think we were all just a bit uncomfortable. It felt like we walked into the garage and interrupted Dad and his buddy’s attempting a jam session. If you’d like a sample, then visit their website at www.tobykaneband.com .
Next out 12 Stones! These guys were full of energy and rocked it!!! I knew nothing about them going in, but was very impressed by their set! Their new CD comes out on Tuesday but they had copies available at the show. Perfect opener for DAUGHTRY – got us all in frenzy and ready to ROCK!! My 6 year-old spent this set perched atop Daddy’s shoulders and all the guys in the group acknowledged her!! They were exchanging air-kisses with her and having a blast!! It was hilarious! Finally, time for DAUGHTRY! This was my fourth concert and it was interesting to see how their stage has evolved. Yes, they still have the awesome backdrop (that everyone cheered for as it went up), but now they also have two red curtains on the sides of the stage to dress it up a bit. My favorite decorations are still Chris, Joey, Josh, Brian and Josh Paul, but the rest was nice too! The smoke machines were pumping like crazy when the boys finally graced the stage!! Powerful and awesome as usual! I was so pleased to see Josh Paul back on that stage! It all seemed complete again!

“Crashed” was the opener with all of the album in between it and “TABA”, except “All These Lives”. This was the first time I’ve seen “What About Now” live and OMG!! How powerful, moving and amazing!! Almost brought me to tears! They also did covers of songs by Alice in Chains and Filter ("Hey Man, Nice Shot"). Damn, no Joey vocals for me (only his usual background vocals!). I was so hoping he’d come out from behind those drums because from where I was standing all that he seemed to be wearing was his white tie!!



Early in the set Chris asked the crowd it they all had the album, then asked if they had it legally – inferring that many had downloaded it illegally! It was hilarious. During the “Home” encore, he asked us all to hold up our cameras and phones, then counted to three and had us all shoot at the same time. The result - flashes en mass – was super cool and clearly Chris and the guys thought it was fun too. Chris almost couldn’t keep singing because he was cracking up! His rapport and connection to the audience was palpable and awe-inspiring!

Post concert while the crowd thinned I checked on the hubby and my daughter riding the rides, then positioned myself over by the gate. Joey came out and we hugged. I told him Suzie and Lu sent their love. He said to tell those ladies, “Howdy!!”. I told him Happy Birthday and how much I liked the new shirts. We also spoke briefly about the street teams and he seemed pleased to see them taking off like they were. He’s so cute and modest when talking about himself. Especially when we discuss his music and his singing! It’s so endearing to see him almost bashful! Silly boy! He was real cute with two 13 year old girls and walked over to the fairgrounds with them to get funnelcakes!! I asked Joey to see if he could get Chris to come over and showed him the picture of Chris and Rhiannon I wanted Chris to sign. Joey walked right over and within minutes Chris graced us with his presence!
Chris was his usual friendly self once the 13 year olds stopped screaming!! He took pics with everyone and I got at least 3 hugs!! Oh my those were nice!! He took two pics with me! Damn camera didn’t flash for the first one (of course I looked better in that one), so darn, we had to take another! He signed my daughter’s picture and another I took of the guys at the Kansas City concert! I congratulated him on the VMA nomination and he said they were real proud of that! Some stupid fans of course brought up the “you should of won AI” comments and Chris gracefully brushed it off with “Oh, are we still talking about that?!” He was only with us for about 10 minutes, but it felt like forever! I asked the security guy if he could get the other guys to come over, but he said “No” and that was that. No one else came out and I floated back to the car for the 2.5 hour ride “Home”!

hey daughtry! that was the absolute best concert that i have ever been to!!! Chris i love you! You are so awesome!!! Glad that the band is doing so well. You are my all time favorite band!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!

What else can I say? You guys rocked last night!!! And to top off my night, I got pix with Josh Paul and Joey!! The show was nothing less than absolutely fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see you again!

That was the most intense experience I've ever had (besides the birth of my daughter). I cannot even describe the feeling I had during the entire show. It was almost like an out-of-body experience.

I have never seen the other bandmembers before this, and they are all awesome! ...and way hot, may I say...

Please come back soon! I wanted to go with my Mom, but she had surgery on Wednesday, so obviously she wasn't able to recover by Thursday to come to the show. So come back VERY soon so I can go with her!

The band is so amazing in person! I just can't get over them!

Post a new video on your South Dakota experience!! Personally, I couldn't BELIEVE how many people were there, especially down below in the General Admission area! Keep up the good work!

So I couldn't believe that Daughtry was actually in South Dakota! I attended your concert in Minneapolis with Nickelback and it was AMAZING! I enjoyed your concert more at the fair because it was outdoors and included more of YOU! Chris, you're an amazing performer; I love how you get the crowd going!! I especially liked it when you had everyone stop and take a picture at the same time. Your reaction was incredible!
