I love Daughtry but I'm a litle annoyed
This was my fourth Daughtry concert and it was absolutely incredible, as always. However....a friend of mine has a relative that works at the fair and was able to get us on the Meet and Greet list. How excited am I?!?!?! Only come to find out that we were not able to use our own cameras (the fair took pictures which we could PURCHASE, and they sucked by the way) and all we could do was walk past them sitting at a table signing whatever item we had brought, then out the door. No stopping and talking, no taking our own pictures, NOTHING!!!! Apparently this was not the case for the Meet and Greet that occurred after ours for radio station winners. What's up with that? Am I less of a fan because I was there through different means? I guess I can say I did get my ticket stub signed by all the band members and did get to see Chris up close, who is absolutely gorgeous! But come on, a fan is a fan is a fan. Have they forgotten how they feel about their favorites and how they would feel at the chance to meet them? Alright then.
Maybe next time Daughtry???
I'm sure it was great!
Saw you guys at Little Brothers in Columbus in March...I'm sure this one was equally amazing!

Peace, love and DAUGHTRY!

Ohio State Fair- Celeste Center
Once again, Daughtry rocked our world! CRUSHED to find out we missed him signing autographs outback after show!
Thank you Daughtry!!!!!!! You saved me from going insane!
I’ll try to make this as short as possible but it’s going to be really hard, I'm even leaving out tons of details!:
I won the VIP contest and drove all the way to Ohio to see Daughtry It was about an 8 hour drive from Michigan where I live. Since you can only bring one guest I invited my sister along. We map quested the Ohio State fair and almost took a wrong turn about ten times because my sister gets a little confused with her left and rights. So the day of the concert we walked to the fair from our hotel room and met the lady at the front and told her that our names were suppose to be on the will call list. She looked through the paper 3 times and finally said that my name wasn’t on it. Quickly after we got the manager and he was nice enough to let us in the fair for free. He told us that our tickets for the Daughtry concert should be waiting for us at the box office. So right away we went to the box office. When the lady at the box office told me that my name wasn’t on the list again, I felt tears welling up in my eyes and I was so scared that I wasn’t going to get a seat. As we waited outside for a little while I got to the point of just wanting any seat at all, I didn’t care if it was the worst seat in the whole arena. To be honest if they didn’t find a seat for me I would have stood outside the building and rocked it up all by myself with all the people passing by pointing and thinking I was a complete psycho, I didn’t care. I was just happy to be there! After waiting around a while we went back inside the lady told me she still hadn’t heard what was going on with our tickets. Since I thought a head and figured that with my luck something like this would definitely happen to me, I printed out all the e-mails that Daughtry official had sent me before I left Michigan. The lady asked me if I needed the e-mails, I told her she could do whatever she wanted with them as long as I got into the concert. Soon after a man who looked to be quite in a hurry walked up to the crowd of people and asked,” Is Emily here.” I said I’m right here as I waved my hand in the air. The man looked at me and then said,” follow me, here are your tickets.” As he handed me the tickets, I was relived that I wouldn’t have to stand outside of the arena and rock it up with Daughtry all by myself, I would actually get to rock it up in the arena. I was full of pure joy. The man then started walking extremely fast towards the front of the stage. All I was thinking was… oh my gosh he’s seating us and we are going to have amazing seats. Once we got up to the first front rows I started slowing down thinking that he was going to turn around any minute and tell us to sit down. But he didn’t. He walked past the first row, past the stage, and out the door. I was so confused. I knew that I won the VIP but I knew that I didn’t win a meet and greet. I won a signed poster instead (which is amazingly awesome I must add )-- We walked past the bus and into the trailer out back. I was in such shock I didn’t know what to do with myself. I wanted to jump up and down and scream and wave my hands in the air because that was definitely what I was doing inside my head, but I didn’t because I knew that I would look quite weird since it was just daughtry, the manager, and us. I managed to control my excitement enough but…The only thing that would come out of my mouth was, “ oh my gosh I have to get a picture no one back home is ever going to believe this!” The man standing by the door then explained that we weren’t allowed to take pictures. At first it was a HUGE let down, but then I wasn’t let down at all because that is impossible when you are standing in a trailer with Daughtry a foot away from you. The man then handed me a picture of Daughtry so that they could all sign it. I took the picture and happily explained that I already had a signed poster but It didn’t matter because you simply can’t get enough of Daughtry! The man laughed and I passed him by and walked right up to Chris. He was sitting at the table waiting for me to hand him something to sign but I didn’t hand him anything to sign because I knew that I would never get a chance like this ever again. I said, “Chris I know that you have a lot of diehard fans out there that probably chase after your bus, but on august 15th 2006, American Idols Live tour in Grand Rapids Michigan, I was the girl in the pink shirt who chased after your bus and you blew me a kiss and I fell on the ground crying and laughing and making a fool of myself. You and Ace were laughing.” Chris paused while he was thinking and said, “wow that was a long time ago… but I think I do remember that.” The guy that met us at the door then approached me and said, “ Ok I’ll take your picture.” I was overwhelmed with excitement. I thought back on how many times I had joked about getting a real picture with Chris Daughtry to everyone back home. Then Chris and the whole band got up. Chris walked around the table and stood right in front of my sister and I. My sister was standing in front of me and I watched as Chris Daughtry hugged my sister. Then he turned to hug me. Before he hugged me the only thing that was going through my mind was, …”UM CAN THIS ACTUALLY HAPPEN?.. I’M GOING TO HUG CHRIS DAUGHTRY!!! AHHHH!! Chris asked where we were coming from and he was surprised when we explained that we came from Ludington Michigan. He said, “ You came all the way here from Michigan!?” I answered by saying, “ Of course….. you are Chris Daughtry!!!” He smiled and we turned around to take a picture. My sister stood by Chris and J.P stood on the other side of Chris. I was thinking, “ This is a once in a lifetime chance I have to stand by Chris!”… well I thought that I was thinking it, but then I realized that I said it when Chris smiled, moved over, held out his arm, and said, “ here you go.” I stood in between Chris and J.P as the man snapped our picture. After the picture was taken I could tell that all of them were in a hurry so some of them started to leave the trailer. Chris asked where we were sitting, and we explained that we just got our tickets and we weren’t sure at all. He said that he would look for us. I thanked Chris for everything and we talked to him for a little bit longer. Then he gave my sister and I one more hug good bye. We left the trailer and hurried to find our seats. Our seats weren’t bad at all! They were about 10 to 15 rows back diagonal to the stage. Day of fire played first, and they were awesome! When they were done my sister noticed that no one was sitting in the front row. She turned to me and said, “ Emily no one is sitting up there lets just go sit there.” At first I said no because I didn’t want to get kicked out. But then I thought, “ I already met Chris Daughtry and the whole band, what do I have to loose.” So we walked up front and talked to the security guards. After a lot of pleading and smooth talking they finally said that we could sit wherever we wanted but if someone came to claim their seats we would have to move. We happily agreed and ran all the way to the front of the arena, and sat directly in front of Chris’s microphone. We said a short prayer that no one would come to claim the seats that we were sitting in and sat and waited so full of excitement that I could barely stand it! Daughtry finally came out and started performing! I was ecstatic.. I couldn’t even believe that it was happening, nothing this good ever happens to me!!! Through out the show as I was jumping up and down screaming Chris would point at me and I would start screaming louder and jump up and down even more than before. I had so much fun. The security guard moved right in front of me though. Anytime I would get to close to the stage he would push me. I thought it was hilarious because If I really was a psycho stalker who the security guard should be keeping an eye on, why would I be drawing so much attention to myself. My sister and I got some AMAZING pictures of Chris and the whole band. Once during the show Chris threw his guitar pick at me but since it was so small and so dark I didn’t catch it nor did I ever find it. Another time Chris threw the cap to his water to me, but my hands were so sweaty it bounced right out of my hands. Of course I dove on the ground after it, but it was dark and some little girl stole it from me.
But it’s ok because Joey threw his drumstick to my sister and she caught it and gave it to me! The concert was AMAZING!!! Daughtry is AMAZING!!! After the concert my sister and I along with a bunch of other people waited by the fence to see if the band members would come out. J.P came out and I talked to him. He recognized me right away as being the crazy girl in the front row. I tried to get a picture with him, but I couldn’t because of the crazy prison fence that was between us. Instead I just held his hands over the fence and told him how awesome he was. Joey came out and I talked to him for about a rough 5 minutes. Joey explained that he couldn’t see who he was talking to because of the black netting that was zip tied to the fence. I then lifted myself up over the fence so that he could see me. I tried to get a picture with him but it was nearly impossible. So when Chris came out to sign autographs, I took it into my own hands to break three zip ties so that I would be able to talk to Chris through the fence without cutting myself on the crazy spikes! When Chris came by I just stated the facts, “Chris I ripped down this crazy black netting so that I can see you through the fence.” He laughed, looked up and said, “ Oh there you are,…. HEY!,….. I saw you earlier didn’t I….. and you were in the front row!” For once in my whole life I was actually speechless, Chris Daughtry actually recognized me!!! My sister and I explained that those really weren’t our seats at all. Chris laughed and said, “way to go, way to make the move!” Then He was bombarded with people trying to get autographs and I felt bad for him, so I stopped talking to him because I didn’t want to bother him. When he started walking back by after signing autographs, I lifted myself over the fence and said, “Bye Chris!!” He looked up, smiled, pointed right at me and winked! I left the fair that night so overly happy I couldn’t even sleep. It was the best day of my life!!!! But it’s a funny thing because the best day of my life was fallowed with the worst day of my life..................
So on the drive home to Michigan the next day the brakes went out on my car, and my sister and I almost hit by a semi truck head on. I had to then drive my car 25 miles an hour on a 75 mile an hour highway so I could take my car to a shop and get the brakes fixed. I called my boss and told him that I would be late for work since I was suppose to be at work in 2 minutes and we were not even half way home yet. After a 4 hour wait I dished over $500 to the man who fixed my brakes and we started home. An hour later my car overheated and we pulled over on the side of the road. A man who looked like he could be a dateline child molester stopped and asked us if we needed a ride 5 TIMES!!! When my sister and I finally made it clear that we would not be taking a ride from a guy who we don’t know, in a town that we don’t know, with dead cell phones he finally left. My sister then tried to move my car farther off the highway due to cars almost hitting my car which was now parked on the side of the highway, but when she tried to turn my car on…. it wouldn’t start. A police officer then stopped and called a tow truck. After waiting in a police car for 45 minutes, I had to tow my car for over 44 miles, and pay $3 dollars a mile. We then found out that the battery on my car was dead due to my brake lights being stuck on from when the shop fixed my brakes earlier. I then called my boss and told him that I wouldn’t make it to work that day. Then I went to another car shop and paid another $135 to have someone else fix the overheating problem with my car, and the problem with my brake lights. Since I had no money at this time to buy food the manager at the shop told me that he would buy me food. Thinking he was just being nice I agreed. But…when we were at the restaurant his wife called him and he awkwardly said, “ Oh it’s my wife, can’t pick that up now I’m busy!!!” At this point I felt disgusting simply wanted to run home. When my car was FINALLY finished the same guy hugged me goodbye AGAINST MY OWN WILL and told me to call him. CREEPY! I pushed him away, got in my car, and was full of so much anger and confusion I almost ran him over. I then started to drive to work already late, and found out an hour later that the man had not fixed my car at all…. due to the fact that it was overheating again, and to make matter worse I was LOST in a BIG city which I am definitely not use to at all!! But then.. I blared Daughtry through my car speakers and everything was better, I remembed what happened the night before, and even though I knew I have to go in debt to buy a car, I was happy! I stopped crying and forced myself to drive all the way home with the heater on, when it was 92 degrees outside to cool down my engine. I don't think I've ever been that hot in my entire life!!! I finally arrived home only to go to workfor 6 hours with no sleep at all. I tell you the truth.. even after all that…… IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!! COMPLETELY WORTH IT!!! THANK YOU DAUGHTRY YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!!!! !!!!!!

Ohio State Fair-Thank You
We drove 4hrs. to see you guys. Husband, wife and 4 kids in a Suburban. Joey and JP thank you for being such great hosts. My kids got to meet you and they will never forget that trip. You both are so sweet and patient. My oldest now takes guitar because of you guys and my youngest can't wait to start the drums. I'm so grateful for you guys being such a great group of rockers. Not only creating great music, but doing it clean enough for my kids to listen to and love. What a great show! The whole arena was shaking. Everyone was rocking those stands. Love it!

What an AMAZING night!!
mmmmmkay...it's kinda lengthy but I here I go...(Sorry I had to include every small detail)
Anywhoo...I hung my cd and sharpie over the fence and said, "Joey would you PLEASE sign my cd?" He looked at me (Gah he is gorgeous!) and said, "Come around darlin'!!" O MY GAWD!!! I coulda melted! I couldn't think straight cuz HE CALLED ME DARLIN'!!!! Atop of that he told me to come around the fence!!!!! So I walked up to the gates which were already open but guarded by two cops. The cop informed me that I couldn't go past him so I just stopped and Mr. Handsome came to me!!! I handed him my cd and pen. He opened it up and signed the actual cd.
I kept thanking him and then I gave him a HUGE hug. I said thank you again and he thanked me. I ran over to Larissa to show her that Mr. Barnes signed my cd. (3 down, 2 to go!) Joey was still mingling with fans so we decided we were gonna get back up there and get our pic taken with him. We asked a girl to take the pic 4 us and she said she would. (THANKS!!!) When we got to him I asked him to take a pic with us. So we got on each side of him and he put his arms around us. He kept rubbing my arm!!! (AWWWW...He is SUCH a sweetie!!) We thanked him again and stood closeby to hear him talkin to other fans. I love how he communicates with the fans. He stood out and talked forever. After he left we went back to our wall. J.P. came out and eventually came over to the fence. He was GREAT too!! I just watched him cuz a larger crowd had gathered that time so I didnt have a chance of gettin to him. I wanted my pic taken with him!! After several pics and autographs he went back into the building. During all of this, Chris walked in and out of the door talking on the phone. We would scream so loud...and he would wave at us. A little later all of the guys gathered into a small trailor and soon after several fans followed. They were gettin their poster signed. They came out and we went crazy again!! How could you not? Seein all five of the guys at once.
Chris threw his arms up in the air and smiled (which I thought was so CUTE!!! Pic of this in my album on myspace! Check it out!) while heading back to the building along with the other guys. The show started with Day of Fire at 7 and it was almost that time so we went into the building and found our seats. Sec117 RowL Seats1 and 2. They were the last row of the floor seats which wasn't bad. They were actually pretty good BUT the pictures weren't all that GREAT BUT it's all good cuz there's more in the end!!!!!! Day of Fire took the stage and they were AWESOME!!! This was my first time seeing them with Daughtry and they were GREAT!!!!!! As DoF performed Daughtry time got closer and closer and we became more and more excited! After DoF and a brief break it was TIME!!!! The stage was AWESOME!! It said Daughtry in the back with red curtains on each side of the stage. And...there they were...Chris with his beanie!!! O how Larissa and I love the beanie!!!
It came off pretty quickly though. They started with crashed which ALWAYZ gets the crowd goin!!! What am I sayin? They coulda really started with any song and we would've been ecstatic anyway! They also sang INO, Over You, Home, There and Back Again, What I want, Feels like Tonight, Breakdown, Gone, and Used to. I'm not really sure that there is a word to describe how amazing their performance was!! AMAZING, AWESOME, WONDERFUL, EXTRAORDINARY!!! Trust me I could go on and on in an effort to describe how GREAT they were but it just doesn't do any justice! I just can't explain it!!! I love how Chris interacts with the crowd! Before they played INO he said that that was the song that pretty much got em started. Before he sang Over You he said that it was a song about breakin so I knew what song it was. He was like breakin up...YEAH!!! So we (the crowd) screamed and then he asked how many people had ever broken up and we all screamed again. LOL!
The really funny part was after that when he said, "I hope nobody just broke up, I mean like just now!" He told us that he was gonna let us sing during one part and asked if everybody knew the words. He said "who doesn't?" Hands stayed down besides like 2 or 3 ppl. He said, "well if ya don't just make up somethin good. I promise ya I'll never know!" LOL! So they played Over You and it was AWESOME. During one part he let the right sec, left sec, and mid sec sing seperately to see who got the loudest. It was AWESOME! I sang as loud as I could to the top of my lungs! Right b4 they did Home he said, "we will probably NEVER go home but 4 tonight Columbus is our home!" He also asked during the show who owned the album. I think every hand in the place went up! I mean of course...I had mine right with me!!! One time he left the stage 4 a minute and when he came back he thanked everyone for not leavin. As soon as the show was over we ran outside and jumped back up on our little wall to see over the fence. Idk what the deal is with the fence anyway and the black meshy stuff? Do they think we would attack the guys or somethin?
Nah, not us!!! LOL!!! I couldn't hear anything and I was hoarse!! A girl that was also standing on the wall b4 the show walked past us, exiting the building, and asked me somethin. I couldn't make out what she said so I said, "huh?" And she repeated herself and I still didn't hear her so I said, "huh" again! She said, "I know I can't hear anything either!" and she repeated herself again. She had asked me if we had seen any of the guys yet. I apologized to her for not bein able to hear and told her no, not yet. After a few minutes we saw Joey walk out the door with no shirt on!!!! OMG! We tried takin pics but he wasn't close enough to us so they were just dark. He disappeared and reappeared with a shirt on though. The guys kept walking in and out just as they did b4 the show and we kept screamin just as we did b4 the show. I screamed, "JOEEEEEY!!" but he didn't hear me so Larissa and I screamed together and he waved. Brian finally made his way over to the fence so I jumped down from my wall spot to squeeze in at the fence. After a couple people got autographs from him they moved so I took the spot!
Larissa stayed on the wall to try and spot Chris. I heard someone ask Brian 4 an autograph and he replied, "idk, do you have an appointment?" LOL!! I held my cd over the top of the fence and he came to me!!! I said, "thank you so much! Just sign it anywhere!" He opened it up and took the little booklet out and signed the front of it up by Chris' head. I told him that they were AWESOME!! He said, "so ya had fun?" I said, "oh yeah, I had a BLAST!!!!" And then I reminded him again how great they were and thanked him again for signing my cd. He said "thank you." 4 down and 1 to go!! Come on Steely, where ya at???? I stood for a few minutes and watched some fireworks and I noticed that J.P. was standing and watching them too. I went back to the wall and we saw Chris!!!! He was walking into a trailor right by the fence!!!!! We went cRaZaY!!!! He motioned "just a sec" with his finger!!!!! O MY GAWD!!!! So there he came!!!!! He actually walked over to the gates which were opened but guarded by two cops. We ran over and tried to squeeze through. We wanted him to sign our ticket stubs, well and u know...a pic woulda been nice!!!
It was crazy. The cops made us move back cuz a car needed through the gates. He kept sayin, "move back!!" Well I didn't wanna move back cuz I thought if i didn't I would get closer to Chris. I ended up just gettin pinned up next to the fence by people that were thinkin the same as me!! We got pretty close to Chris. I heard a girl ask him to take a pic with her and he smiled real big and said, "take it!" The guard said, "no, no pics we don't have time for that!" Chris apologized. Awwww...what a sweetie!! The cop finally said, "okay, no more autographs!" We ran over to the fence cuz Chris started signing autographs over the fence. I squeezed in a spot and got my hand over the top with stubs and pen in hand! I watched as he signed other autographs. He handed a pen back to somebody and said that all the pens were gettin mixed up and said that the pen was all sweaty...I guess from his hand!
I also saw him holding a cigarette pack (I guess that somebody had him sign.) He asked them if they smoked and they told him yeah. He said, "but if I sign this for ya, then you're gonna quit, right?" He or she (couldn't see for all the people) said that they were gonna finish the last two in the pack. So Chris said, "just these two?" LOL!!! He finally got to me and signed both of my ticket stubs and I thanked him twice. I didn't get to say much to him cuz there were so many people. I had already lost Larissa cuz she was tryin to find a spot at the fence. I found her and showed her our ticket stubs. HIGH FIVE!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO! She was excited that I got em signed. We wanted some pictures of him so we moved on down the fence and stood. A cop told us that he wouldn't be comin that far. I told Larissa that if he wants to that he will and a cop aint gonna stop him! LOL! So, guess what, he came down that far!! Since we already had his autograph on our ticket stubs I just held the camera up over the fence and snapped pics as he moved down the fence. I got some really good ones. When he got in front us (AWWWWWW I love makin eye contact with him!!!) He looked at us and looked up to see if we wanted somethin else signed and I said, "will you just smile for me?" So he did and it was the BIGGEST smile ever. I held the camera up over the fence (UGH!!) and just snapped it cuz I couldn't see the screen! I looked at the pic and I cut his chin off! Oh well, as long as I got his face!!!! I thanked him and told him again how AWESOME they were. He thanked us. Larissa asked him if we could have the guy's job that was holdin the light for him to sign autographs!! LOL!! He said, "who, his?" He kinda laughed and said, "y'all couldn't handle it!" We laughed as he laughed and said, "oh yes we could!!!" I said, "we most definitely could!!" He just grinned. We thanked him again and he said, "LOVE Y'ALL!!!" and we said, "We LOVE YOU!!!" It was time for him to go back in the building so we left. We were both so excited. I had already warned Larissa that once she saw the guys in person that she would turn to a huge fan!! This was her first show. We made our way through the fair and I had to get me somethin to drink cuz I was HOT!!! I told the girl that I wanted a LARGE Diet Pepsi and she said, "you are from down south somewhere, where?" LOL! I told her KY and said Mount Sterling. She said she had family in KY and that she loved to hear the way I talked! LOL!! I said, "well thank you!" By this time Larissa was already on the phone and sendin picture texts! WOOOOHOOOOOO...once again I have created another Daughtry fan!!!! She was still in shock. I was too from talkin to him!!! We got to the car and she was still callin people. Which of course I was on the phone by this time too!!! We had a 3 and a half hour drive home so guess what we talked about the whole way!!!! DAUGHTRY of course!!! Our night was AMAZING!!! We had a BLAST!!!! Chris, Joey, J.P., Brian, and Josh- U GUYS ROCK!!! MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH LUV!!! ♥muah!

WOW!! I am literally still speechless from Wednesday nights show in Columbus! This was my third time seein the guys and it never fails...every time they succeed in taking my breath away!! I'll just tell ya bout the whole day!!! Gah...What a GREAT day it was!!! According to mapquest the drive from my house to Columbus is 3 hours 37 minutes. Larissa and I planned on leaving about 9 to get there early and hang out. We didn't leave until 11 cuz I changed outfits like 5 times!!! LOL! I was sooooo EXCITED when we finally got on the road. Let me just go ahead and say...mapquest directions confuse the HECK outta me so...yeah u guessed it!! We got just a little lost! Luckily Larissa got us back on track. When we finally got there and got parked and figured out where the building was...I was ecstatic. We walked on around the building to the back to find a few other fans hangin out. (I recognized a couple of girls from myspace- Dawn and Lori. Dawn was handing out Joey cds and she gave me one!! That was AWESOME!! They were so sweet!) So we did too...ya know the usual...climbing on walls and listening through doors!!! We walked down to the exit doors and omg...we could hear them doin souncheck! This got me pumped to the max!! Even though I thought that was no longer possible! LOL! We listened for a few minutes and then headed back towards the wall so we could stand on it and overlook the fence. My eyes were glued to the door that kept opening and closing just waiting for one of the guys to walk out or peek out or somethin! We just wanted to see their adorable faces. After a few minutes the door opened and it was jOeY!!! YAY!!! Cameras started flashin!!! He is a character!! I love him!! He was carrying a water bottle and he put it up to his face and pretended to take pics of us!! LOL! He moved closer to a trailor as he motioned that he would be over in just a sec with his finger up. A couple minutes later there he came...over to the fence. I jumped down off of the wall in hopes of gettin him to sign my cd. I even brought my own sharpie! I was readay!!! Chris and J.P. signed my cd in Louisville so I just needed Joey, Brian, and Steely to sign it! I have a poster with all of their autographs but you know how it is!

Tonya*LUVS*Daughtry
OK so i didnt know the lyrics
I have seen many many many rock acts in my far too many days. Daughtry was amazing and i stress that as a band. Not only did chris have a commanding presence that showed he deserved his success the band was just rocking. I was 4th row left of stage. Me and my wife tried to make it to verizon in indiana where we live but like many the traffic monster got us so that night bought more because she's a huge fan and absolutely loves him. I was like ehh whatever. I liked him ok but i had decided he's and idol person sounds great but ehhh we ll see. Well i was completely wrong he was freakin amazing. He asked during "over you" for everyone to sing along, then asked who didnt know the lyrics. Well me being an overly honest person i raised my hand. My wife was horrified i think. Dont worry i faked it and no i dont think you knew any different. Either way i listened more intently and do know the lyrics now which are quite good. Either way i look forward to seeing the band again in concert
awesome
I have been to many concerts, and even though I thought Chris was awesome and should have won "Idol", I wasn't too excited about this one, just because I thought it would be "Idol-ish" wrong!! It was so cool-starting with the cool megaphone in "Crash" and ending with "Nice Shot" the whole thing was great. I took my 15 year old and we both loved it. Little Brothers sold out fast last time, but if Daughtry comes again we are going. We had great seats too.
YOU ALL WERE GREAT!
Thanks guys for a very exciting, and a completey fulfilling night! The concert was great, meeting JP and Joey before the concert and meeting Chris after the concert were the BEST. Its so great that you all take time that you could be relaxing and come out to meet your fans. I can't wait until the next concert! Love Ya'll
Best Show Yet!!!
This was our 3rd concert and probably my favorite one so far!! Even though I was not nearly as close as at Little Brother's (we were in section 210) this was still an amazing show!! I am totally addicted now. I can't wait until the next one. You guys ROCKED!! Sang along to every song and what an unbelievable cover of Soundgarden's "Fell On Black Days" Loved it!! I am also a new fan now of Day of Fire I thought they did an awesome job and knew a few of their songs. Come back to Columbus soon!!

Jamers "Learn to laugh at yourself, everyone else has."
wow
You guys killed it in Columbus. Me and my family drove two and a half hours to see it and it was so worth it. We had 5th row just a little to the right of center and I couldn't have asked for better seats. Chris actually pointed out my mom in the middle of the set and said "She looks excited". After the show we waited outside for like 45 minutes to get autographs and I got chris and Josh's. But yeah you guys deffinantly killed it and I cant wait to come see you guys perform again.
O yeah P.S. The megaphone thing you do on crash is awesome.
Later
one word....WOW!!
I've spent the last couple of days trying to come down off my high from the concert! Took my 14 year old son with me. We had amazing seats (5th row right on the aisle).
**I was the "excited" one Chris pointed out about half way through the show :)**
I just can't find the words to describe it! We had tickets to see Daughtry open for Nickleback at Blossom on July 10th. After sitting in traffice for hours, I never got to see them perform at all. I was completely heartbroken. I am now a firm believer that EVERYTHING happens for a reason! I probably would not have gone to the fair show if I had seen them at that concert, and man, am I glad I did!!! Not only did we see a great show, but we were 2 of the lucky ones, we got to meet Chris and Brian!!! The wait by the fence was well worth it. They were both soooo sweet. We talked to Joey as well, but he didn't have a pen to sign an autograph for us
Wish I could write something clever, but my mind is still a blur!!!
All I can think to say is....WOW!!
Rock~On Daughtry!!!!!!

I never felt like this before.
Just when I leave, I'm back for more.
Nothing else here seems to matter.
In these ever-changing days,
You're the one thing that remains.
I could stay like this forever.
FRONT ROW ROCKED!
Front row center for last night's show at the fair! Worth every penny! Couldn't have been better, only wished I had brought my stinkin' camera...keep the picture postings coming for me everyone! Loved the Soundgarden and closing it out with There and Back again rocked! Thanks for the great show guys! We had a blast. Can't wait to see you next time...I'll be up front again!
To Amazing for Words!!!!
I took my two girls, 17 and 18, to see the the show and I must tell you we had the time of our lives!! The band is more amazing live then there already amazing CD. You guys absolutly ROCKED Columbus!!!! Thanks for one of the greatest memories, for me and my girls!!! We are already looking for your next show close to here to come rock with you all again. Cant wait!! Thanks guys, you gave an AWESOME performance!!!
Daughtry Rocks
Just got back home from seeing Daughtry for the first time. I live in WV, but it was so worth the trip. Can't wait to see Daughtry again! Would love it if they would come here. I am so jealous of you guys that saw him after the show. My friend and I waited for awhile at the fences, but then just figured they wouldn't come. Great concert...I am so excited for the band and all the success I know they are going to have.
See my pics
If anyone wants to see my pics from the show, you can go to my MySpace page. I'll probably download a couple of them on to this site, but not all. Hope you enjoy!

Daughtry or Die!
Daughtry ROCKS
This was my first Daughtry concert. I was blown away. Chris was awesome on every song, he is so talented. To anyone who has not seen them live I would seriously recommend it as soon as possible. I can't wait for them to tour in our area again, I would see them any time. Day of Fire were really good also.
Great Concert!!!

I was in the 2nd row on the left side of the stage. Awesome!! My daughter bought me tickets for my bday. One of the best b'day presents ever!!I didn't care if my ears were still ringing hours later. I definitely want to go to another concert and I hope that I can sit in the middle and catch something he throws.
First Daughtry Concert
Last night was my first Daughtry concert. It was awesome!!!!!! I can't wait to go again and get closer seats. We were in the 16th row center stage, but that's just not close enough for me. I want to see them up close. AWESOME concert, guys. You ROCK!!!
1st Daughtry Show!!
Last night, was my first Daughtry show ever. It was an awesome show!!! I can't wait to go to another show in the future.

~*~Daughtry Rocks!!!*~*~
I saw them live 8.1.07 from the front row!!!
1st Daughtry concert!
Lastnight was my first Daughtry concert, and I can't wait to go again. I have been to a lot of concerts and this was by far the best performance I have seen. I never wanted to sit down, or stop singing. He looked awesome. I wish I could have had closer seats, and I will next time. I had never heard of Day of Fire, but I liked them they put on a good show.. All in all it was an awesome concert and I can't wait to see them again!
First Daughtry Concert
WOW!!! My 12-year old daughter, my husband and I went to the show last night. Although we weren't particularly fans of the opener, it was well worth sitting through to get to see Daughtry. He and his band did an incredible job. I've seen my share of concerts and I think that for being fairly new to the scene, Daughtry delivered a fantastic show last night. He got personable with the crowd and man, he just can't HELP but be sexy, can he? Just a great-sounding band, too. Chris sounded as great in person as he does on his CD. I'm definitely a fan. I missed the Little Brother show but I bet that's the last show that I miss in Columbus!
DAUGHTRY ROCKS!
This was my first Daughtry concert. What an incredible performance! I could have stayed and listened to him all night. But I'm not telling you guys anything you don't already know! If there is anyone reading these reviews that has NOT been to a concert.... YOU NEED TO GO!!! I would love to see him in a big venue. I've seen a lot of concerts over a lot of years and Daughtry can rock it out with the best of them. Awesome vocals, awesome music. One more concert in Ohio, right? I have to be there.
Amazing.
When I first found out that Daughtry was coming to Columbus I freaked out and knew that I had to go. I've been excited about it ever since I got my tickets. The concert was absolutely amazing. Daughtry rocked it out. It was by far the best concert I've ever been to. And just to top of an amazing night Chris Daughtry signed my ticket. I was very happy lets just put it that way. Daughtry is amazing and i guarantee if they come back to Ohio I'll be there. Congrats guys you put on an awesome show!!!!!
Daughtry is amazing!
I'm still on a high the next morning after the Daughtry concert. I want to do it all over again. I was counting down the days since I bought the tickets in May. I had seats in the three hundred section and ended up buying new tickets in the 3rd row. I am so glad I did. It was worth every penny. I had butterflies the whole time Chris was on stage. He totally rocked and his voice sounded amazing as ever. If I had the time and money I would follow them around the country. It was the best concert I've ever been to and can't even find the words to say how much I loved every minute of it. Love ya Chris keep up the great music making!!

ohio state fair- GREAT SHOW!!!!!
seen daughtry at the fair it wasw a great show. The guys all come out and took the time to say Hi. Thanks for being so good to your fans. See ya soon.
Little bit of Soundgarden and Filter topped the show!!
I've been waiting months to finally get to see Daughtry in concert since the last time he was in Columbus he played at such a small venue. It was worth the wait. Not only were all the tracks performed from his album awesome but his cover of Soundgarden's "Fell on Black Days" was so great I think he gave Chris Cornell a run for his money. Then at the end of the concert, he threw in some Filter "Hey Man Nice Shot". I couldn't have asked for more. Not sure some of the younger crowd knew the songs but that just made it even better for me. Chris is amazingly talented. I already can't wait for a new album!!!!!
Daughtry ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!
The show was GREAT. My first concert ever and I LOVED IT. Can't wait to see him in concert again. Next time I'm getting closer seats. I loved his version of Chris Cornell's - Fell on Black Days. Just another one of my favorite Chris'.
Once again, the show ROCKED........and Chris sounds just as good live as he does on his CD.
It Couldn't Have Been A Better Birthday!!!!
08/01/2007 was the best birthday i have ever had. My mom bought me front row left center tickets to this show and i had the best time ever!!! at one point i almost cried. He always gives me chills when he sings but now i almost cried. He sang one song so slow and so soft it was just incredible. He feels what he is singing everytime and he puts enough emotion into his performance to deliver it to the crowd. i now understand why my 14 month old loves him. Ever since before she was out of the womb, i would watch american idol and his voice would be the only one she would kick to. Now that she is out, his cd was the first one she sang and danced to. if she is playing and he comes on she stops what ever she is doing and just listens and shakes her butt....it's so cute. When i figure out how to upload video i will get it on here for eveyone to see. Originally she was my purpose for going to the shows. I wanted to get her something signed but i have lucked out twice now but thats ok. i will get it one of these days for her. This show was a hundred times better than the last one i saw. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!! thanx for making my birthday wonderful!!! ill see you in indiana next month!!
sending lots o love across the miles
Jessica
Awsome!!!
I Loved it! I hope he comes back SOON!! He was amazing!!! I Really hope he will hit it really big and i wish the best of luck to him and his band..... KEEP ON ROCKIN!! I Hope to see him again!!
You Really Rocked it tonight !!
Peace!!
Too funny...
I didn't realize the air wasn't working at Little Brothers too! Poor guys! Hopefully they'll keep coming back even though we don't have air...LOL...
I actually thought of driving down for the TN show tomorrow because the opener is Small Town Sleeper and they are awesome! You'll be quite happy with them if you're going to that show. If you go to their MySpace page (URL below), you'll see after each show they play with Daughtry, they pick up a zillion more fans. They also have a few video blogs where you can hear some of their songs. They're from Urbana, OH and got the opening gig for Daughtry for Summerfest in Milwaukee and then got picked up for about eight more shows. I'm so happy for them! They've been having a blast and Troy, the lead singer, said the Daughtry crew are "stellar people".
If they would've opened tonight I could've seen them both for the first time at the same time.
I did love Day of Fire though, as much as I wished STS would've opened for them today since they are from Ohio and all...kinda funny...the TN band opened for the OH show and the OH band's opening for the TN show
Unfortunately didn't get to meet Chris and the guys tonight, but did notice the Day of Fire lead singer in front of the soundboard and got a pic with him...he was really nice!

Oh, and I don't know who Vegas is (this was my first show) but it sure looked like JP to me!
YAY ANOTHER GREAT SHOW!!
It was great!
I did crack up about Chris's coment about the air. It was a ZILLION degrees last time he played in columbus, the air was NOT working in Little Brothers either! I laughed when he mentioned that.
Here are a few of my pics
CANT WAIT til BUFFALO but again I wont be in front, I was sooo spoiled at the last few shows, today was hard being so far away! My pics arent as good as they normally are!
Questions
Did you guys love Day of Fire or is it just me.......they are my favorite opener for Daughtry.....
And was Daughtry complete with Josh Paul or was Vegas filling in again......My show is tomorrow night in Jackson, TN......
Reading your reviews builds the excitement for those of us with upcoming shows.....Thanks for sharing.

It's only Rock 'n Roll until you see and hear Daughtry!
A-MA-ZING!!!!
I'm with you Missy! I just got back myself and it was the best show I've ever seen! I know so many people on this site have traveled to see them several times and now I know why!! I sure wish I had the time and money to do the same...LOL
But OMG he's so interactive with the audience (and funny - how 'bout when he asked if Columbus had air! Hilarious!
) and every single one of them gives 150-percent on stage. I would pay whatever I could to get up front for the next one, however for this show it was awesome that they were letting us walk up front to at least take some close up pics...very cool!! I want it to be about 7 p.m. so I can watch it all over again
Please tell me "It's Not Over"! lol...
