Saturday night with DAUGHTRY was absolutely wonderful!! I am driving everyone nuts by telling them all the details over and over again!! But, hey, the concert was that awesome!! I was pleased to see how DAUGHTRY'S music reaches people of all ages - both male and female. I was there with my 10 year old son, my sister-in-law and my 7 year old neice. We all sang along to each and every song - oh yeah, the kids know all the words, too!! This was such an awesome first concert for our kids, they had a blast!! Chris has such an amazing voice and a great stage presence. Small Town Sleeper was a great opening act. Love their sound. Can't wait to see DAUGHTRY again (and hopefully STS). My sister-in-law just bought us tickets for the Fresno show - what a way to celebrate the big 4-0!! Thanks Micheala!!
The show in Paso Robles was FABULOUS!! I had so much fun with all my fellow California DAUGHTRY friends! It was as great to hang out with them as it was to be at the concert!
I had waited since February 8th to see my favorite band perform and I was so anxious to get to Paso Robles! It took about 5 hours to get there. For those that think California is all beaches, here is a pic of the surroundings right before Paso Robles...
Yes you see that correctly, it's in the middle of NOWHERE and it's HOTTER than h*ll! Even though we drove such a long way, it was worth every minute to finally get to see DAUGHTRY! They may have had concerts in California since Feb. 8th, but it is a HUGE state and since I live in NorCal this was the first time they had been remotely close to us in over 5 months! (BTW, has anyone ever taken a map and tried to fit as many east coast states in the state of California? Somebody needs to do that so we can get a true idea just how far it is from top to bottom of the state). but I digress....
At this particular fair, as with most rural fairs in California, they revolve around a rodeo...the concert stage overlooks dirt where many dirty folding chairs are lined up for the audience. Yes, our chairs were in dirt! And directly to the left of the stage, there is a horse arena where they practice calf roping and such.....and there are many cows!!!! Hahaha...Eu De Cow Dung....I wonder what the band thought of that! 100 degrees and the glorious stench of cows!! Here is a pic of the cows....I know this has nothing to do with the concert but I needed to paint that picture for ya'll.
Hey Bessie! You are going to hear DAUGHTRY soon! Moooooooo! Happy Cows from California!
So, I went to willcall and received my VIP tickets...I am grateful for winning VIP, I had already gotten the signed poster from Fed Ex the day before, and I gave it to my daughter who is a big fan and has always wanted a poster with all the band members signatures on it...she really lucked out that a poster was part of the VIP win! However I was a little disappointed that the VIP tickets were row P (16th row) because I was hoping they would be closer than my own purchased tickets in the 7th row. We ended up using my original tickets and it was all good! Thank you Daughtry Official for chosing me for VIP for Paso! I already knew in advance there was no Meet & Greet for this show.
After we got the tickets we found a margarita hut and took some pictures. We could hear the band warming up with soundcheck outside the grandstands - that is always cool! Here is a picture of me and my friends at the DAUGHTRY concert!
The opening band was called Small Town Sleeper and they ROCKED it!! I was pleasantly surprised! During their performance they announced they had a surprise guest to help sing a song with them...it was none other than Joey Barnes!! Woo HOo!! He sang "She's Got the Look" by Roxette with them. My friends (Jen, Amy, Karyn) and I all stood up while Joey sang and we really stood out because I think we were the only ones standing!! IT WAS GREAT!!
FINALLY it was dark and here comes DAUGHTRY and the crowd goes wild! They have really changed since I last saw them at The Boardwalk in Sacramento at the beginning of the small club tour. I was also blown away at the crowd! When they started with Crashed the whole crowd knew the words! AWESOME! I knew we were in for a great show! There were kids, teens, women, men, grandparents, all walks of life. I would say there were more men than women! Alot of people made signs and homemade t-shirts supporting DAUGHTRY! Who knew there were so many fans in Central California! Well Chris and the band fed off the energy from the crowd and they threw their energy right back at us! Chris' voice was SPOT ON and the band was incredibly tight! As the concert went on I was blown away again at Josh Steely's guitar playing! At the previous shows it always seemed that he held back some, so finally he unleashed his fingers and graced us with some HOT LICKS! Josh Paul was there and was doin his thang all over the stage - I am so lucky that he has been at every show I have seen. The energy he brings to DAUGHTRY is wonderful! JP's mohawk is growing back and is black on the bottom and blonde on top - really cool! He also had some vocals and was great. Brian is now a veteran rockstar and he seems really comfortable onstage...and I remember seeing him at Slim's in SF for his debut night! Great guitar Brian! Joey - well Joey always completely rocks it out! I could also hear his vocals which meld with Chris so perfectly. Joey came out front with an acoustic guitar to play with Chris for "Fell on Black Days" which was FANTABULOUS and the crowd LOVED IT!! Everyone was singing and rocking...to all the songs! At one point Chris told the crowd that this was the best California show EVER! I agree! (well except for the debut performance at the Viper Room last year, nothing will ever top that night). I got to hear What About Now for the first time live, and after the encore of Home and There and Back Again, they started into yet ANOTHER SONG!! It was SO FRIGGEN COOL! I cannot stress COOL enough! Chris had the megaphone again and JP and Joey were just going at it rocking out and we realized the song was Filter's "Hey Man, Nice Shot"!! WOWOWOWOWOW! Chris, Steely, Josh Paul, Brian, and Joey - you all made this one of the best concerts I have ever been too and I thank you!
*I don't have many pics because the batteries ran out in my camera, and they aren't great quality either*
My sister and I loved it! You were even stronger than when we saw you in Sac at the Boardwalk, and we already have tix to see you in Fresno (on my birthday, no less!) . Thanks for working so damn hard, it must be tough to be on the road so long. See you in October!
The concert was amazing on Saturday nite. My sister , mom and I had a good time. My sister was kinda disappointed about not being able to see ya after the show. But you did put on an awesome concert. Cant wait to see ya in Fresno!
We had a great time Saturday! You rocked!!!! My 7yr old daughter, 10 yr old nephew and sister-in-law had a blast! It was our kids first concert! We will remember it forever. I still close my eyes and picture you singing! Great venue! See you in Fresno!
Daughtry ROCKED last night!!! I love the music & the venue. We brought our girls to their first concert, they had a great time and will remember it forever.
Just wanted to say thanks for an AWESOME show! I acted a bit crazy because I was sooo excited to have a front row seat-- my first time ever and for my FAVORITE band, just couldn't help myself. You all did a super job, and it continues to impress me that you can perform so well after being on the road for so long (I also saw you guys at the OC fair- super fun, too!). Thanks, Chris, for coming down from the stage to slap hands w/ your fans- made my night. Can't wait to see you all again, you're absolutely the best!!!
The concert was fantastic. It's the best one I've seen any where. Chris and the rest of the band you guys really rock. I hope to catch another one of your concerts someday.
My sister & I took her two daughter's to their 1st concert. Jenna is 8 and Haley is 13.
Daughtry performance was awesome! The girls were very impressed and all of us can't wait to attend another Daughtry concert.
WE LOVE YOU!

You will have plenty of time to get there tomorrow from SF...the actual fair doesn't even open until noon. We are coming from Sacramento so we have a long drive too. Should be a great show!! WOO HOO!
I live in Malibu but right now I am in the San Francisco area so I have a very long drive as some people say. And I have no choice but to leave on Saturday morning and hope to get there before it's to late. It will take at least 5 hours but you know how often you stop when your cooped up in a car for a while even though 5 hours isn't long a long time in a car for me. This will be my first concert and I knkow I wont be dissapointed!!!!!!!

Daughtry concert is on its way...like me, I'm sure all of you who are in attendance are looking forward to hearing Chris rock our world. It will be hot! (in both ways!) Anyone know who won the VIP for Paso?? It would have been nice to have a meet and greet....but a signed poster will do! Hey Chris...any way you can let us know if you will be out and about for autographs and pictures and can you let us know when and where you will be??? Just a thought! I would love to have a picture of you - signed!
Looking forward to the concert on Saturday....keep hydrated so you do not hurt those precious vocal cords!
Dude,
I just really enjoy your music and style. It's a breath of fresh air in this mundane music seen today.I would enjoy talking music with ya,but your a busy Man..VIP....be Blessed

I also am driving five hours to see you guys even though my family is going to be flying all the way to visit from Canada and will be here that day. I did not get a picture with Chris so I'm heartbroken. Have not removed you CD from my car since it's release and I know every song by heart. I have a major Daughtyr addiction and will not stop telling everyone around me every reason under the sun to love you guys and buy your album. This is the ony thing I do for myself beacuse I have a 21 month old son and a hubby who is in the police academy so not anytime for me so this is it. So please pick me. I think I am your "hugest fan" by a landslide!!! Please give me a chance!!!!!! Make me a VIP. Love you guys.
Dude... I voted for Chris so many times during his AI season that my fingers are still swollen! I'm stoked that I'll get to make the trek down from San Francisco to see Daughtry up close and in person!
I've done concert photos for Snow Patrol, Silversun Pickups, OK GO and many bands from around the SF Bay Area... so I might even be prevailed upon to bring my rig and snap away!

I think i deserve it because i was hit by a car a year ago, and i have been wanting to go to your concert anywhere but i have been in and out of hospitals and never had the chance to goto one of yours. To go to a concert of daughtrys would meen the world to me. I listen to your guys cd every day non stop. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pick me to be your VIP!!!!!
Both my husband and I love Chris Daughtry. We refused to watch American Idol after he got voted off......Not Fair but glad he is doing really good in his career! We are going to Paso Robles in July!
