It is fair to say that life for Chris would be very different if it wasn't for AI. It is also fair to say that they want us to know that they discovered him. I can understand why! Chris and the band are way beyond STARS and that makes AI look very good. SInce I am still a fan of AI, I am glad that they continue to feature Daughtry's music.....it feeds the addiction!!!! (This message is in no way saying that Chris wouldn't be a hit without AI - just that it probably would have taken longer and been more of a struggle. I have faith that he would have made it!!!)
It seems to amaze me that Daughtry is constantly brought up on Idol. Not only his songs, but I picked up a recent gossip magazine and there was a picture of one of the current contestants and the title was something to the effect of "is this the next Daughtry." It just seems crazy to me....
Ok this has absolutely nothing to do with AI, I just saw a commerical for Ellen for Monday after the Grammy's and Chris is going to be on !!! I'm sooo excited ! I wanted to shout it from the rooftops, but figured this was better ! Everyone make sure to watch !

I think it's awesome that Idol is using your music on the show. you rocked Idol, and you've truely enspired rockers everywhere out there who want to pursue rock music in our music industry. Chris, you definatley proved that even without winning Idol, you still can be a success. I am and will always be a true DAUGHTRY fan. I'll keep attending your concerts and suporting you man, both in our music industry and on VH1's top 20, well that's part of our music industry also. I had no idea that the band was going to be featured last night. I had the tv on but was not really paying all that much attention. The audition process with all the idiots who dont take the show seriously really gets to me. But I still watch anyway just for the few talented people that are on in between. I screamed like a teenager when I heard FEELS LIKE TONIGHT .My kids think Im crazy because any time Daughtry is on tv I act like a crazy person. So needless to say I do still watch AI . I enjoy it much more once hollywood week is over. I know alot of Daughtry fans stopped watching after Chris was voted off but without that show we probably wouldnt be listening to Daughtry today. So, how can you hate a show that let us get to see how truly talented Chris was and still is. I think him getting voted of was sad, I cried, I really did .But it all turned out great. He has had more success than most of the shows winners. I have not enjoyed it nearly as much since that season and I don't think the talent is as good as it used to be...but for some reason I just keep watching.

AI may have had a down year last year, but if it wasn't for that show we wouldn't have our DAUGHTRY like we do. So I'm thankful for the show!! So far I've been happy with the show this season. There has been alot more emphasis on the people with potential talent instead of just the goof-off's.

and I must say that I can't even begin to express how proud I am of our guys! That little piece on Idol last night was great! Chris is "one of the biggest success stories in Idol history!" Best part of the show!

When I watch American Idol I generally just have it on as background noise and I am doing something else. But as soon as you guys came on I spun around in my chair and watched every second. It was a great thing for them to be promoting you guys again, considering you are some of the best people to be promoting. And it was a great link to going into the rockers.
I'm sure there are more people in those thousands that show up for the auditions that can actually sing - but the producers go thru all those people and pick out ones that they can make fun of and throw in a few that can sing. It may have been slightly amusing seven years ago but it's really getting to be a sad statement about our society. (along with most reality TV).
It was nice to see a "flash" of DAUGHTRY, hope it helps CD sales this next week.....
and DAUGHTRY, don't make me do that again !!!! I've stood in lines for hours, drove in storms, stood in rain and mud, and don't even mind sitting thru award shows to see you.... but no more early AI auditions.
All that stress about offending AI was for nothing. They know they can't ignore one of the best talents to be on that show. I will definitely be tuning in!
There are so many people talking trash on AI. I among everyone else was upset when Daughtry didn't win, but..........talking trash isn't going to change anything. We all know that Daughtry should have won, but the fact is, he didn't need to win. Look at his accomplishments without winning.
As for last night, I agree that they should have given Daughtry a little more playing time, but I am at least glad that they showed it. Afterall, they didn't have too.
Now on another note.....did anyone see the guy that sang after they showed Daughtry's clip? I didn't catch his first name, but I think his last name is Cook. He had the red bangs. Anyways.....even though I am not devoted to watching AI each week (rather, I don't have time) I think this guy sounded good. I also liked his comments about Daughty...So....we'll have to see.
