Presenting the 2008 Daughtry + Bon Jovi Tour VIP Giveaway!
We're changing the rules for the VIP giveaways for the Daughtry dates with Bon Jovi. Here's how it will work:
*Become a REGISTERED user of DaughtryOfficial.com. If you are not registered on this site, we will not be able to reach you if you win! You must be registered - NOT anonymous!
*Fill out your profile on www.DaughtryOfficial.com COMPLETELY. Entries from users with incomplete profiles will be disqualified. A complete profile includes: user name, age, location (city, state and country), age, What I Am a Fan and a profile picture. (Profile picture does not have to be of you.)
*Go to your show's date in the Events section (http://www.daughtryofficial.com/events) and add yourself as an attendee by clicking 'Add Me'.
*(Your show's page in the EVENTS TAB section will detail what, if any, type of giveaway there is for that particular show.)
*Your user name will then appear on the right side of the screen in the list of people attending the show.
*Once you have added yourself as an attendee, you are officially entered to win! (Note, your name may not appear on the event's first page, but that's OK, we'll click 'more' and make sure to include all entrants.)
*Winners will be selected randomly from the group on attendees who have their profiles filled out COMPLETELY! Dates for each drawing will be announced on each event's page.
*Winners will be contacted via Private Messaging function here at DaughtryOfficial.com! (If you have received any Private Messages, you will get a block on the top of the screen that lets you know to check your message!) Make sure your profile is set to allow you to receive Private Messages if you enter!
*Age restrictions for each individual venue still apply for contest winners.
*At least one winner will be chosen for each eligible show.
*Shows with contest giveaways available are detailed as such in the events section. Any show with a giveaway will contain info on said giveaway in its respective EVENT page. The specific event page will also detail the type of giveaway offered (ie: Poster and/or Tickets and/or Meet & Greet).
*We are looking to give everyone a chance, so site members who have won VIP giveaways from DaughtryOfficial.com in the past will not be included in the drawing unless there are no other qualifying entries. We hope you understand that we want everyone to have a shot!
*Giveaways do not include meet and greet sessions with Bon Jovi.
*Transportation and accommodations are NOT included.
*No exchanges can be accommodated (if you win for one show, you cannot exchange your tickets and meet and greet for a different show).
*DO NOT enter for VIP in a comment or review of the show. Such submissions will not be considered. Drawings will be random - nothing you say in a comment or post will increase your chances. That being said - please do feel free to chat with fellow attendees on each event's page all you like!
If an event's page does not have details on a giveaway, it means that one has not been confirmed for that date at this time. Please DO NOT private message or email moderators and administrators asking if and when VIP contests will be confirmed. We promise the first place it will ever be announced will be on each event's page.

Answers to questions that have been posted here...
Q - Can you enter for multiple shows or just for one?????
A - You can enter for as many shows as you like. Please do remember, though, that you have to provide your own transportation and accommodations if you need to travel to get to the show.
Q - Do you have to have a ticket to win?
A - Check the page for the event you want to enter for. On that page, it will state what a winner receives. If it states that tickets are part of the giveaway, you won't need a ticket to win because it will be part of the prize!
Q - I am just curious is the contest is for Local fans only based on concert venue?
A - You can enter for any show(s) you like - whether they are near you or half a world away. Please do remember, though, that you have to provide your own transportation and accommodations if you need to travel to get to the show.
Q - I had already added myself as an attendee for the show in Dallas, TX but my profile was not complete...no favorite lyric. How do I need to go about fixing this so that I will be included in the contest? 'Remove' myself, fix my profile, then 'Add' again? or just complete my profile and leave myself as an attendee as is?
A - Your profile needs to be filled out by the time we pull the list of entrants to pick from. No need to remove and/or re-add yourself.
Q - If you have added your date of birth but requested it not be displayed publicly, does this disqualify you because it is not listed on the profile page? I believe it is a great security tool, especially for children, but hope that would not negatively impact those of us who use it.
A - We need to be able to see your age so that we can make sure you are old enough to get into shows that have age restrictions.
Q - jwblondee - re: Profile Pic:
A - I see a picture you uploaded in your profile spot now.
Q - I noticed when I go to look at my profile on the main page of it it shows my city and country,not the state but when I go in to edit my profile the state is already listed. Just trying to make sure my profile is set up all correctly. Any feedback would be great.
A - This is fine - currently the state does not appear publicly.
Q - Will more VIP chances be added to other concerts?
A - As is always the case, the first place a VIP contest is confirmed for any show is on its event's page. It would be silly for anyone to confirm it here, via PM or in another forum, doncha think? You never know when a giveaway will be confirmed, so please keep checking your event's page.
Q - First, when you say previous winners are disqualified or not eligible, does that include ALL winners or just those who won tickets and/or meet & greet? I won a poster, but have never met the band. Am I eligible this time around or not?
A - To clarify - everyone is eligible to some extent, BUT, if you have won something in the past here on the site, whether it was tickets or a poster, etc, your name will be placed in the random drawing only if we don't have enough other eligible entrants.
Q - Are we only supposed to add our name as an "attendee" if we are entering the contest? Or can anyone who plans to attend the show add their name?
A - Of course anyone attending can add themselves to the list. Those already attending may end up winning and getting a meet and greet or better seats. Plus, in the past when our winners already had tickets, they often gave or sold them (at face value) to a fellow fan in need. We love when Daughtry fans pay it forward.

I'd love to fly out and see DAUGHTRY and Bon Jovi, this will be an awesome tour, U guys ROCK! My brother Charles is stationed in El Paso TX @ Fort Bliss in our US Army, Chris, U guys and Bon Jovi have a show in Dalis TX on April 14 2008. Charles said" if I could fly out there, He would go with me to your show on that night. We would drive his truck. My brother Charles knows about my music background and how I've traveled for music and also the music reviews that I've wrote. He also knows that I've attended all of your shows Chris, in New York State, That's where I'm from. Charles joined our US Military in 2002, so he's been pretty much all over the United States, but he's stationed in El Paso TX. I thought it be awesome to attend one of DAUGHTRY's shows in another state besides New York, this will also gave me a chance to spend time with Charles, other then when he's home on military leave. I'll have to see what I can do. If not Chris, then I'll just have to wait until U guys come back to New York State, but believe me, Id love to see DAUGHTRY and Bon Jovi LIVE! Oh My God, that will be so AWESOME. U never know Chris, maybe I will be able to attend your Dalis TX show. Id also love to write amusic review about this one, WOW! For doing the VIP's this way, I think it seems like everyone has a chance now. I'm a huge Daughtry fan and would absolutely love to meet the guys, but good luck to everyone that wins. Just wanted to let ya 'll know....
Some people, like myself, have entered for VIP which is NOT local...but the only reason I did that is because I do have access to get there. I wouldn't enter myself for VIP if i didnt plan on making a way to get there. Does that make sense?
Just wanted to clarify that....bc i know some of you were thinking ppl signed up just to see if they could win, then wouldn't show up for the concert.

Confirming the "display age" question.
Hi Karen,
I thought I was all set but someone asked the question about displaying your age. I do NOT display my age so I'm assuming based on your answer that I'm disqualified. I just assumed RCA has access to whatever we don't display. But if this will affect my chances of winning, I will display it although I don't want to!! And it's not because I'm underage!!
One more question & don't shoot me!! Believe me when I say I LOVE EVERY SINGLE SONG BY DAUGHTRY but I chose to post a different band for my favorite song lyric. Again, if this will affect my chances of winning, I'll gladly change it! That would be an EASY task!!
