The Charlotte show in December was amazing!!!! I really loved it, from beginning to end. This is by far, BY FAR, the best show I've ever seen LIVE!! Of course, I loved all the Daughtry songs and the new song is AWESOME, too. You guys really made it come ALIVE that night!! I also loved all the cover songs you sang and played. Throwing those in was a nice touch, it was hard to choose a favorite! Josh was awesome on vocals, too! That was pretty cool. Chris and his voice and the band & their music did NOT disappoint!! Smiling) Way better than I ever could have imagined!! I have worn the CD out and was crazy about all the music before seeing you live, but after the concert it's even better!! It's completely different listening to the songs now, you really brought them all to life that night! I loved how personal Chris was with the audience, cutting up and joking around. And especially when he asked everyone to rush the stage, that was awesome! Having us all sing along was pretty incredible too! The whole show ROCKED, especially once the band really, really started getting into it! I could just feel the energy, the adrenaline, the entire night. Makes it even better when you feel the music, like you're a part of it. Thanks Chris and all of Daughtry for bringing it!!!!!! That was such a great Christmas present! YOU ROCK!! Smiling)) Planning to be in ATL for the May 1st show with Bon JOVI.......hopefully, keeping my fingers crossed!! Smiling) LOVE YOU GUYS!! KEEP IT UP!! Smiling

I am trying to find Holly that was sitting next to me at the daughtry show on 12/15/07 ....Row Q seat 4......I tried to email the pics but the email address is wrong.

How do they keep getting better and better?? The show in Charlotte started off with high energy and ended with even higher energy!!

Chris's voice was unreal...he sang his heart out for all of us, and we sang ours out for him! I hope the guys could feel that the crowd was loving every minute of it!!

The cover of Paradise City was my favorite this time...along with WAN!

Glad the security finally let us go up front for TABA...that is always a wild adventure!!

Thanks guys for a great time and looking forward to Greensboro!!

One of the BEST concerts I've been to!!!! And got to touch Chris!!!!! WOW.......What a night!!!! Great job guys.....can't WAIT till you come back!!!!!!! (Make it quick!!!)

I tend to get carried away when talking about daughtry shows because I start to re-live the experience when I think about it all over again so no guarantees that won't happen this time...

I agree with everyone else who said they didn't get into the openers. errrr...they didn't do it for me either. the group of girls I was with had planned to rush the stage when daughtry came on because during the first two bands NO ONE was standing up and we were worried the crowd wouldn't stand up and scream, but we should've known better. I'm so glad there wasn't one person seated during their performance, including the cutest 10 year old fan in front of me standing in her seat singing all of the words. the whole set-up changes every time! I've been to 3 previous shows and they're always different. first off, chris sang a new song that was amazing and got me REALLY excited for the new album already! (because with a new album comes a new tour Eye-wink) secondly, steely sang reggae! it was so unexpected! he should do that in every show now. the fans loved it. third, chris always does oldies and classic rock and he knows which songs are perfect for him to sing. ok, and finally...joey had no shirt on. I pity anyone who wasn't there to see his gorgeous body. I couldn't get any good pictures of him half naked because drummers are in the back! who came up with that idea?!?! anyway, at the end of the show chris said everyone could come to the stage while he sang "there and back again". joey stood up and I still didn't get but a blurry picture. I did take note of his back dimples Eye-wink I got an elbow or forearm to the face from girls behind me trying to get pictures. I'm 5"0 so if you can't see over me, I think that makes you either under the age of 10 or vertically challenged.I didn't let it bother me when chris was touching everyone's hands. when he threw towels and water bottles, it felt like that entire crowd did the wave! haha! "over you" was the best because the crowd sang (sans chris) and you could understand the whole thing!!

ok...the finale, the best part. afterwards me and krista hung out with a few girls we'd met at another show and chris came out!! he's such a sweetheart! the first thing he said to us was "what are yall still doing here?" I had a drummer shirt on so he was like "oh, well you need joey for that". I made sure to get in more than enough hugs from him to tide me over until the next show Eye-wink as if the night couldn't get any better, I MET JOEY AGAIN! I met him at the sc fair which is when I fell in love with him bc I never knew he was so sweet and huggable. I had krista ask him for a picture with me and he literally ran over! AHHH it was the cutest thing ever! he liked my shirt too and took a few pictures with me, signed my ticket, and gave me at least 5 of his infamous tight hugs that I love so much Laughing out loud he's the sweetest and most humble person ever. the whole band respects their fans so much it's unbelieveable! you can't help but love being around them. they love what they do and that's what their fans love watching. I cannot wait until greensboro!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!! 5 DAYS!

I think that was kinda long. I just can't help myself Smiling

What an awesom show that is all I can say. Way better than the 2 shows I seen this pass spring and was further away at this show than the previous. The stage and lights were dope. The way they played their songs and mixed it in with some old songs was really an awesome thing. Loved and so did my sister. I can't wait to hear the new song that Chris sang on the album. I love the way they end the show. They get me hype and have the adrenalin running and you know their feeling it to becaue they put everything in it. The only bad thing was the opening acts. They were not my cup of tea and Daughtry has had way better opening acts than the two. I would like to say thanks to JP and Brian for stopping and talking after the show. Me and my sister got drenched waiting, but it was worth it. Chris didn't want to risk comin out in the cold/wet weather, but I can't blame him. He did wave at everybody, but it would have been cool to meet him. Happy Holidays to Daughtry you gave me and my sister a wonderful Christmas present. Love you guys!!!!

Live it up and rock hard

THANK YOU DAUGHTRY for another AWESOME show last night!!!! You guys rocked the house in Charlotte!!!!
OMG.... we were on the 2nd row.... closest seats we've ever had.... and it was absolutely amazing!!!!
Being at a smaller venue... it just felt so much more personal! Thank you for making us Daughtry-o-Holics feel like family!!!
I was sooo sad when it ended.... because it's like we anticipate the excitement of seeing you... and then... just like that... it's over!!! But it was definitely worth every second!!! You definitely left us longing for more!!
And I must say.... the highlight of the night was when I got the long-awaited hand shake from Chris!! I was expecting just a little tap... but no... he came by and personally shook each one of our hands .... (that he could reach, of course)... and even a few crazy people that tried to pull him off the stage!!
I was standing right up against the stage..... smashed like a sardine....
but it was soooo worth it all.... just to be able to see the guys so up close and personal!!
Thanks again, DAUGHTRY, for making last night such an incredible night for us!! We love you... and PLEASE... come back HOME to NC soon!!!!

moment, DAUGHTRY was absolutely amazing, everyone thinks I am crazy for so many concerts but DAUGHTRY just keeps getting better. No two concerts have been exactly the same. I had the time of my life. Can not wait for Greensboro. Maybe no rain and I can finally get pic. with Chris. My B-day is Dec. 29th and it would be the perfect gift.

DAUGHTRY

This show was AWESOME!!!!!! Chris was so hot. This was my first Daughtry concert and it was an awesome experience. I saw him with the idols once but this was sooooooo much better. The two bands before him were awesome too. I met all of them and they were so nice. Cant wait til my next Daughtry show.

This is my 3rd time seeing Chris, and my 2nd time seeing him with his band. I Must say this was the best one yet. I saw you guys at the free concert in Greensboro back in March and it was awesome, but This concert at Ovens was by far the best concert I have ever been to in my life! My mom went with me and my two younger cousins. This was my cousin's first concert and they loved it!!! My favorite performance was when guys did "Over You" The reaction from the crowd was sooo amazing! I was on the 21st row and it was the best! I hope you will come back to Charlotte a lot because everytime you do I WILL BE THERE SUPPORTING YOU GUYS!!! You guys are awesome and God has blessed you with such a wonderful talent and I'm glad you get to share it with crazed fans like me!!!!

DAUGHTRY ROCKS:)

DAUGHTRY ROCKS:)

We had VIP parking and we ended up parking 6 spaces from Daughtry's bus. It was raining so we went ahead and went in the concert hall.
We had GREAT seats and I screamed more than anybody in the area. It was the best concert ever!!!! Everybody that I talk to that had been to other concerts of his said it was his best by far. He threw a water bottle in the crowd after drinking out of it and I have it!!!! The drummer threw his drum sticks after the show and we got one of those too. My wonderful children got both items and immediately turned around and handed them to me because they are soooo sweet!!!!
After the concert it was raining and cold and we stayed in the van for 2 hours waiting to meet Chris. Several times I said "maybe we should go ahead and leave." The children didn't want to. Of course I didn't agrue. Smiling)))))
It was very exciting! During the two hours we saw people come and go from backstage and we got to meet Brian (he plays guitar). He signed our stuff and we got pictures with him. He was very nice!
We were about to give up when a crowd of guys came from the backstage door and I saw Chris and jumped out. We were the first ones to him but he was standing at the door to his bus about to get on. I said "Chris, will sign some stuff for us?" He turned around and looked at me and said "Sweetheart I'm sorry, I can't." Of course I melted and said okay. He was about 5 feet from me. He got on the bus. His manager explained that with the weather conditions he couldn't be out in it and take the risk of getting sick. He explained about their schedule and how Chris and the band members were already sneezing. (He actually made a sneezing sound.) It was funny. He went on to tell me that the next concert I was at to call out his name(the manager) and he would make sure to get me to him. I would tell you the manager's name but I would have to kill you. Soo.....I don't have a picture to show you but I do have a big smile on my face, a Chris Daughtry slobbered water bottle, Joey the drummer's drumstick, and a very nice black hoodie my adorable husband sneaked and bought me and some great video from the 11th row center stage. And just in case you are wondering, my husband and children loved the show also and can't wait until our next Daughtry concert!

Chris & the guys, this concert was absolutely unreal. I have been to other concerts in my life, but this was the first time seeing Daughtry perform, and all others pale in comparison. My two best friends & I went for my friend's Bachelorette party! We bought matching shirts that said "McHottie Daughtry" on them, and we were sitting in Row B. I was mesmerized by the performance.. It is one thing to hear your songs and rock out on the radio/tv, but to see you guys life in person with that energy level and performance level was amazing. You guys rocked it all night and above all you looked like you were having just as much fun playin as we were listenin! Chris, you made the concert personal for each of us. I know that it must seem like a routine for you to go out and play every night, but you poured your heart out to us with each song. Instead of just standing up there and singing, you performed every note & with each sarcastic comment inbetween sets I fell even more! Eye-wink (A for effort!!) I knew nothing about Charlotte & even less about Ovens Auditorium, but I can't imagine seeing you anywhere else. I'm glad it wasn't an arena setting because this venue made it much more intimate. I realize that I don't know you personally, but I think you are a stand-up guy & a class act professionally. You went out of your way to make sure we got to see you up close & personal, shaking hands and potentially risking being molested. Touching your hand at the end of the night was a definite highlight, and I'm pretty sure you don't realize the effect you have on someone when you look in her eyes, but the whole night was like a surreal experience...I didn't want it to end.I have pictures to carry with me, but you definitely left me wanting more =)This may have been my first Daughtry concert, but it will definitely not be my last.
PS- The new song gave me chills (as did "Imagine"). If you record it, it needs to be acoustic just like you sang it last night. Your voice is amazing.

JESS

Fantastic show! Great sound and stage presence! Loved the new song. Looking forward to a new CD! Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday!

Wishing you continued success!

Wishing you continued success!

The concert at Ovens was my first Daughtry concert.... and OH MY GOD..... my husband took me... we were on row G which was 7 rows from the stage. The view was awesome!! Chris reacts so well with the crowd... I wasn't at all surprised by his energy level... he's incredible!! Poor thing had sweat POURING down his face all night... but it never slowed him down. My favorite moment was when he unexpectedly threw in I Walk the Line in the middle of one of the songs....that of course was one of my favorite performances of his on AI.
I didn't get any pictures though Sad :( I was told over and over again... NO CAMERAS... THEY WILL BE TAKEN.... and I did notice that the guards were telling everyone to put them away when I am You Are and Midway state were preforming... but SHEESH... when Daughtry came out, the flashes were crazy!! And that's when the guards stopped telling everyone to put them away... if I had only known!! The most memorable part of the night was when Chris told us that we could get a little closer at the end.... I was right up against the stage to the far left... and he brushed my hand once on the way by... but then he came back... both of my hands were raised... he grabbed them both, kind of tugged, and looked right at me and said Thank You!!!!! I had seen hm saying it on his way through... but just for him to make eye contact with me and say it while he looked at me made it worth not having a single picture to show for it!! No.....THANK YOU Chris!!!

"I was blown away....what could I say?"

This was my 3rd time seeing Daughtry and was the best by far...you just keep getting better and better!!! You are,I am and Midway State were awesome also. I am ready to see you agian already! You are the only band I have seen 3 times...especially in the same year!!! One of these days I hope I will be fortunate enough fo meet you in person. I actually have that posted on my "myspace page " as who I would like to meet. Oh, Happy Birthday wishes from NC!!! Happy Holidays!

Laura

This was a surprise concert for me. My mom said that we were going Christmas shopping. But when we pulled into the parking lot she told me the truth and I was so happy! This was my second time seeing Daughtry this year and this was by far THE BEST! The seats were awesome, You could see them from everywhere! My throat hurt so bad after singing every song. Thank you Daughtry for performing SO well!

Hallie

CHRIS,

THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER ATTENDED!!! YOU WERE SO AWESOME! CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU AND THE BAND AGAIN!!!!

This was by far my favorite show. I loved the new song and Joey's silhouette behind the curtain. I really wanted a picture of Joey when he came out at the end but to many arms and heads in front of me each time A BIG thank you to Chris for coming out a speaking to a few of us at the end of the show. Thanks to Mrs. Barnes she is such a nice lady and was glad to have meet her. Joey your parents are wonderful!!!

Bri

Why am I still up! I don't have a clue! Must be adrenaline rush!
Daughtry:
You took me by surprise
By the look in your eyes
You pierced right through my soul
From the beginning you had complete control.

This was just my 6th show, and it was the best so far. How do you do it? Every show gets better!! The crowd sat kinda stagnent during You are I am and Midway State...BUT when Daughtry was still behind the curtain the crowd went wild and the stage was bumrushed for about the first song until security made us "go back to our seats". Chris sang Imagine by John Lennon which was tremendous. so touching, a lot of emotion. he also sang his new one "back to me" Iloved it! Joey was awesome on the keyboard tonight..and looked pretty hot playing shirtless tonight! Steely sang also, he really surprised me. there's so much talent in the whole band. I'm so horse from singing along. Chris had us belting out "over you" with him. its so great to hear the entire place in unison. I'm so glad this was in a small venue again. You feel so connected. Keep the old stuff coming Chris! We love the cover songs...Paradise City, Walk the Line....We know who Motley Crue is and you can sing it anytime you like! You guys really play like a "seasoned" band. So together but with each unique perosnality shining through. For the last two songs,TABA &?, Chris said "OK you can come up friont now" until then, security hadn't let anyone come near the stage even to take a pic. So half the auditorium ran up front. I was there but one person between me and the stage...plenty of water bottles and picks flying tonight, Joey got in on the action with drumstick tossing. I got a few good pictures during the mosh pit jumpin' of the guys up close. Thank you for another amazing show. Rock On!
krista

I went to see one of my most FAVORITE groups tonight at Ovens. It was a surprise. My wife had been telling we for over a couple of weeks she had a surprise for me that I would love. I have been a little under the weather lately with back and leg trouble. Today was a really bad day. So we almost didn't go. I truly did not know what my surprise was until I arrived at the concert. I had such an awesome time. I have been to several concerts this year, including Nickleback, and this was the best by far. So to my wife I say THANK YOU SO MUCH AND I LOVE YOU.TO DAUGHTRY YOU ROCK DUDE. I only wish we could have met the band, but this by far was an awesome surprise.

Chris is the man. Love your style dude. Way to rock!

The concert tonight was so awesome!! It was my second time seeing them. I was *this close* to catching a towel at the end and then shaking his hand but I didn't quite make it.
I posted about it on my blog. I have pictures there too. Check it all out!

I have 2 tickets in ORCHC row L (11th row dirrectly in front of the stage) seat 109 & 110 and
BALC LL(1st row of the overhanging balc and directly in front of the stage...it is a close shot of the band) seat 114 & 115

My family of 4 will be going and would like to sit together. We all know that it is impossible to get 4 together so I got these good seats hoping to trade with someone who has seats next to one of these pairs. Even if you seats are not right next to mine, I would consider tradeing so that we could be on the same row or very close to each other.

Anybody wanna help me out and get some great seats at the same time????

I have been a fan since I first saw Chris on Idol, I followed him thru that show and cried when he got sent home, in retrospect that was the best thing that could have happened! Who won that year anyway! You proved to the world what it really means to be an American Idol and stay true to who and what your music stands for! Charlotte is going to rock on December 15th! Can't wait PLEASE pick me..

Good News....I have a friend who has two extra tickets, Orchestra Center Row T! Email me your offer for the pair and I'll pass it along to him if he hasn't sold them yet.

ken.madison@mindspring.com

No there are no tickets on ticketmaster for charlotte. I have tried and tried almost everyday since they went on sale and there are no more. I got mine but was looking for better ones. Everytime I try it says no more tickets availble.

There are still tickets available through ticketmaster for the Charlotte show.
